Abstract

Provided is a technique for adding a configuration for expanding variation of use methods in a banknote handling device while keeping the banknote handling device from becoming larger and more complex. This banknote handling device (100A) is provided with a customer-side receiving/dispensing port (45) and a user-side receiving/dispensing port (40) for inserting and dispensing banknotes. In a deposit transaction, if the user inserts banknotes from the user-side receiving/dispensing port (40), said banknotes are conveyed to and stored in banknote storage compartments (71-74) while the serial numbers are read by a banknote determination unit (30). If a customer inserts banknotes from the customer-side receiving/dispensing port (45), those banknotes are conveyed from the customer-side receiving/dispensing port (45) to the user-side receiving/dispensing port (40), and, after establishment of a transaction, are sent from the user-side receiving/dispensing port (40) to the banknote storage compartments (71-74) and stored therein.

Description

Banknote handling equipment
This invention relates to a banknote handling apparatus.
In financial institutions, banknote handling devices are used in transactions involving exchange of money between customers and financial institution staff (so-called tellers) (for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-145600). In a deposit transaction at a financial institution, the ownership of the banknote is normally treated as being on the customer side until the transaction is finalized. Therefore, even after the banknote handling apparatus accepts a banknote from a customer, the banknote is stored in a temporary storage unit so that the banknote can be returned until the transaction is confirmed. The structure which accommodates in a storage in the classification is adopted. Moreover, in order to smoothly perform banknote transactions, the banknote handling apparatus has a function of excluding banknotes that do not satisfy certain criteria such as dirt and shape from being subject to transaction as reject banknotes. .
By the way, in a transaction of a financial institution, a teller who is a user of a banknote handling device usually plays a role of mediating a banknote between a customer and the banknote handling device, and the teller operates the banknote handling device. It was configured on the assumption. However, in transactions with financial institutions, for example, when it is more convenient for the banknote handling apparatus to be operable by the customer, for example, the customer can directly insert banknotes into the banknote handling apparatus. There is also.
Up to now, it has been required for banknote handling devices to add a configuration that expands variations of how to use such devices. However, the addition of such a configuration may involve a complicated configuration and an increase in size of the bill handling apparatus.

Here, in the processing mechanism 101, a banknote transport path 80 that connects the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40, the banknote discriminating unit 30, and the deposit reject box 60 is configured by a transport belt and a transport roller. The conveyance path 80 is disposed between the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 and the banknote discriminating unit 30, and is disposed between the transport paths 40 a, 10 e, 10 d, the banknote discrimination unit 30, and the deposit reject box 60. , Bill transport paths 10a, 50a, 50b, 60a. The conveyance path 80 includes a conveyance path 10f that connects the conveyance path 10e and the conveyance path 50a to each other.
The conveyance path 40a is connected to the lower end of the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40, and can feed or feed banknotes one by one from the bottom to the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40. Hereinafter, the conveyance path 40a is also referred to as a “deposit / withdrawal conveyance path 40a”. The deposit / withdrawal transport path 40a extends from the lower end of the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 to the upper side in the gravity direction, and is connected to the transport path 10e.
The conveyance path 10e extends obliquely upward in the gravitational direction from the connection portion with the deposit / withdrawal conveyance path 40a and then turns back toward the lower side in the gravity direction and is connected to the next conveyance path 10d. The conveyance path 10 d extends from the connection point with the conveyance path 10 e to the lower side in the gravity direction, then bends in the horizontal direction, and is connected to the conveyance path 30 a of the bill discriminating unit 30. A transport path 10 a is connected to the rear side of the transport path 30 a of the bill discriminating unit 30. The conveyance path 10a extends to the vicinity of the rear end of the banknote handling apparatus 100, and is connected to the next conveyance path 50a.
By the way, in the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example, the conveyance paths 40a, 10e, and 10d that fold in the up-down direction on the front side of the banknote discrimination unit 30 and the conveyance path that extends horizontally in the front-rear direction on the rear side of the banknote discrimination unit 30. By 10a, the conveyance distance of a bill is deliberately lengthened. The reason for this will be described later.
The conveyance path 50a is turned downward from the connecting portion with the conveyance path 10a toward the lower side in the gravitational direction, and below the conveyance path 10a and the conveyance path 30a of the banknote determination section 30, below the front end of the banknote determination section 30. It extends almost horizontally to the side. Note that first to third banknote storages 71 to 73 of the storage mechanism 102 are arranged below the transport path 50a.
The conveyance path 50a is connected to a conveyance path 50b that extends horizontally in the front-rear direction and a conveyance path 10f that extends obliquely upward via a gate 15 for switching the conveyance destination of banknotes. The conveyance path 10f is connected to the deposit / withdrawal conveyance path 40a via the gate 14 for switching the conveyance destination of a banknote.
A fourth banknote storage 74 is disposed below the conveyance path 50b extending in the horizontal direction. The conveyance path 50 b is connected to the connection conveyance path 74 a of the fourth banknote storage 74 via the gate 54. The conveyance path 50 b is connected to a conveyance path 60 a connected to the deposit reject box 60. Hereinafter, the conveyance path 60a is also referred to as “payment reject conveyance path 60a”.
The deposit reject conveyance path 60 a extends obliquely upward from the preceding conveyance path 50 b and is connected to the upper end of the deposit reject warehouse 60. Reject banknotes are carried into the reject store 60 from above by the deposit reject transport path 60a and stacked.
FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram for explaining the conveyance path of the processing mechanism 101 and its driving force. FIG. 2 is almost the same as FIG. 1 except for the following points. In FIG. 2, the two conveyance paths 40a and 60a and the connected conveyance paths 71a to 74a connecting the processing mechanism 101 and the storage mechanism 102 are not shown, and the display other than the reference numerals related to the description is omitted. is there. Further, in FIG. 2, two drive motors 10m and 20m are schematically shown. The two drive motors 10m and 20m are extracted from their original positions and displayed for convenience of explanation.
Here, in the present specification, of the transport path 80 of the processing mechanism 101, a transport path that forms a loop-shaped path connecting the banknote discriminating unit 30 and the inlets of the first to fourth banknote storages 71 to 74, respectively. 50a, 10a, 30a, 10d, 10e, and 10f are also referred to as “annular conveyance path 10”. In addition, the conveyance path 50 b that is connected to the conveyance path 50 a in the annular conveyance path 10 via the gate 15 and extends horizontally in the front-rear direction is also particularly referred to as “horizontal conveyance path 20”.
The annular conveyance path 10 conveys bills bidirectionally using the rotational driving force of the first drive motor 10m. Specifically, the annular conveyance path 10 switches the bill conveyance direction to the first conveyance direction D1 (counterclockwise direction in FIG. 2) by switching the rotation direction of the first drive motor 10m, It is possible to switch between two transport directions D2 (clockwise in FIG. 2). The annular conveyance path 10 constitutes a loop-shaped conveyance path as described above. However, as will be described later, in the annular transport path 10 of the present reference example, the bill is not transported so as to go around.
On the other hand, the horizontal conveyance path 20 (conveyance path 50b) is driven using the rotational driving force of the second drive motor 20m, and is switched in the front-rear direction along the horizontal plane by switching the rotation direction of the second drive motor 20m. The bills can be transported in both directions by switching the transport direction. Thus, since the two conveyance paths 10 and 20 are respectively driven by the dedicated drive motors 10m and 20m, the drive directions can be switched independently of each other.
The storage mechanism 102 (FIG. 1) includes first to fourth banknote storages 71 to 74 that stack banknotes by denomination, and a withdrawal reject that stacks reject banknotes whose ownership belongs to the financial institution. And a warehouse 70. The first to fourth bill storage boxes 71 to 74 and the withdrawal reject box 70 are constituted by cassettes that can be taken out, and are arranged in a line from the rear to the front in this order.
Here, as described above, the conveyance paths 50a and 50b of the processing mechanism 101 extend horizontally above the first to fourth banknote storages 71 to 74. The first to third banknote storages 71 to 73 are connected to the transport path 50a via first to third connection transport paths 71a to 73a. The 4th banknote storage 74 is connected to the conveyance path 50b via the 4th connection conveyance path 74a.
Note that first to fourth gates 51 to 54 for switching the banknote transport destinations are provided at the connection portions of the first to fourth connection transport paths 71a to 74a and the transport paths 50a and 50b. Yes. In the first to fourth banknote storages 71 to 74, the top banknotes are stacked one by one from the bundle of banknotes stacked and stored to the first to fourth connection transport paths 71a to 74a. A bill feeding mechanism that can be fed out in order is provided.
The withdrawal reject box 70 is connected to the front end of the conveyance path 50b via the connection conveyance path 70a. A gate 55 is provided between the connection conveyance path 70a and the conveyance path 50b. The gate 55 can switch the connection destination of the conveyance path 50b to the deposit reject conveyance path 60a or the connection conveyance path 70a. In the withdrawal reject box 70, reject banknotes carried in through the connection transport path 70a are sequentially stacked.
Here, although not shown in the drawings, the conveyance path 80 of the bill handling apparatus 100 is provided with detection sensors that detect the presence or absence of bills at predetermined intervals. In addition, detection sensors for detecting completion of loading / unloading of banknotes are also installed in the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40, the deposit / rejection store 60, the withdrawal / rejection store 70, and the bill storage units 71 to 74.
Note that the arrangement order and functions of the first to fourth banknote storages 71 to 74 and the withdrawal / rejection storage 70 can be arbitrarily changed, whereby the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example has various types. It is possible to correspond to various usage modes. For example, the withdrawal reject box 70 is collected from banknotes 71 to 74 previously loaded in the banknote storage 71 to 74 before the operation of the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example, or collected from the banknote storage 71 to 74 after the banknote handling apparatus 100 is operated. It can be used as a bill loading storage for storing bills or a bill collection store.
As described above, in the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example, the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 and the banknote discriminating unit 30 are arranged substantially horizontally in the front-rear direction, and the banknote storage boxes 71 to 74 and the banknotes are loaded and unloaded at the lower stage. The gold reject store 70 and the deposit reject store 60 are arranged in parallel in the front-rear direction. With this arrangement configuration, the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example simplifies (simplifies) and shortens the banknote transport path formed between the components, thereby improving the banknote transport efficiency. Yes.
FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing a control configuration of the bill handling apparatus 100 of the reference example. The banknote handling apparatus 100 includes a control unit 160 that controls the entire apparatus. The control unit 160 includes at least a main control unit 161, a memory 162, and an upper communication unit 163. The main control part 161 is comprised by the microprocessor for control, and functions as a process execution part for making the banknote handling apparatus 100 perform various processes.
The memory 162 is a main storage device, and stores various data relating to banknotes such as various programs executed by the main control unit 161 and banknote serial numbers acquired from the banknote discriminating unit 30. The upper communication unit 163 controls communication with the operation terminal 200 configured by a personal computer or the like. Information on banknotes stored in the memory 162 is also transmitted to the operation terminal 200 by the upper communication unit 163.
The control unit 160 is controlled by the main control unit 161 by the banknote discriminating unit 30, the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40, the deposit / rejection store 60, the withdrawal / rejection store 70, the bill storage units 71 to 74, the transport path 80, To control. Moreover, the control part 160 receives operation with respect to the banknote handling apparatus 100 from the operation reception part 90. FIG.
Here, the control of the conveyance path 80 by the main control unit 161 is executed by controlling the detection sensor 165, the drive motor 166, and the gate 167. The detection sensor 165 includes the above-described sensors installed on the conveyance path 80 and in each component. The gate 167 includes the gates 14, 15, 51, 52, 53, 54, and 55 shown in FIGS. The drive motor 166 includes the first and second drive motors 10m and 20m described in FIG.
[A] Deposit transaction processing:
FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing a processing procedure of deposit transaction processing executed in the banknote handling apparatus 100. Here, the “deposit transaction process” is a process of storing banknotes deposited from customers in the respective banknote storage boxes 71 to 74 from the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 according to denomination.
In the deposit transaction process, reject banknotes included in banknotes deposited by customers are excluded from the transaction. In addition, in the deposit transaction processing, even after the banknotes deposited from the customer are inserted into the banknote handling apparatus 100, if the transaction is not confirmed (when the transaction is canceled), the banknotes deposited are used as they are for the customer. Will be returned to.
In step S10, the main control unit 161 configures a transport path for transporting banknotes from the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 to the banknote storage boxes 71 to 74 or the deposit / reject box 60 in the processing mechanism 101. Specifically, the main controller 161 configures the following conveyance path by controlling the gate 167 and the drive motor 166 (FIG. 3).
FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram showing a banknote transport path for storing banknotes deposited from customers in each banknote storage 71-74 or deposit reject box 60 in the deposit transaction process. FIG. 5 is substantially the same as FIG. 1 except that the conveyance direction of the banknote is illustrated and a conveyance path that is not used for conveyance of the banknote is illustrated by a broken line.
The main control unit 161 controls the gate 14 to connect the transport paths 40a, 10e, and 10d between the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 and the banknote discriminating unit 30. The main controller 161 controls the gate 15 to connect the transport path 50a and the transport path 50b, and controls the gate 55 to connect the transport path 50b and the deposit reject transport path 60a.
The main controller 161 rotates the first drive motor 10m so that the banknote is conveyed in the direction of the arrow D2 in the annular conveyance path 10 (FIG. 2). Further, the main control unit 161 rotates the second drive motor 20m so that the banknotes are conveyed from the rear to the front in the conveyance path 50b that is the horizontal conveyance path 20.
The main control unit 161 starts conveying the banknote when it is confirmed that the bundle of banknotes deposited from the customer is inserted into the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 by the user (step S20 in FIG. 4). The main control unit 161 feeds out banknotes one by one from the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 by the deposit / withdrawal transport path 40a and transports the banknotes to the banknote determination unit 30 through the transport paths 10e and 10d.
The main control unit 161 causes the banknote discriminating unit 30 to perform denomination determination, serial number reading, and reject banknote detection for each banknote being conveyed (step S30). At this time, the main control unit 161 stores the acquired bill information in the memory 162 and transmits it to the operation terminal 200.
The banknote which passed the banknote discrimination | determination part 30 is conveyed to the conveyance paths 50a and 50b via the conveyance path 10a. The main control unit 161 controls the gates 51 to 54 according to the denomination determined by the banknote determination unit 30 to carry the banknotes in the transport paths 50a and 50b into the corresponding denomination banknote storages 71 to 74. . Moreover, the main control part 161 passes the conveyance path 50a about a reject banknote, and carries it in to the deposit | receipt rejection store 60 via the conveyance paths 50b and 60a.
By the way, in the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example, while the banknote passes through the conveyance path 10a between the banknote determination unit 30 and the first banknote storage 71, the denomination of the banknote is determined. Detection of reject banknotes is completed. That is, after a banknote passes the banknote discrimination | determination part 30, before reaching the gate 51 of the 1st banknote storage 71, the conveyance destination of the said banknote is determined.
Therefore, banknotes can be smoothly stored in the banknote storages 71 to 74 without stopping the conveyance of banknotes. As described above, in the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example, the path for ensuring the processing time for the banknote discrimination in the banknote discrimination unit 30 by the transport path 10a subsequent to the banknote discrimination unit 30 during the deposit transaction. Function as.
The main control unit 161 repeats the banknote transport process described above until transport of all banknotes inserted into the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 is completed (step S50). Note that the main control unit 161, when a failure such as a conveyance jam is detected by the detection sensor during the above-described bill conveyance process (step S <b> 40), the user via the display unit of the operation terminal 200. Is notified of the occurrence of a failure (step S45).
FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram showing a display example of a message notifying that a failure has occurred. Here, in the memory 162 and the operation terminal 200, based on the banknote information acquired from the main control unit 161, the denomination of the banknote deposited from the customer, the serial number, and the storage destination (first to fourth banknotes). The storages 71 to 74 or the reject storage 60) are recorded in correspondence with each other.
Therefore, when a failure occurs during the banknote transport in the deposit transaction, the information (serial number, storage location, denomination, etc.) of the banknote that has been transported before the failure occurs is notified along with a notification that the failure has occurred. It is displayed to the user as a contact 202. The user can take out the banknote having the same serial number as the deposited banknote from the banknote handling apparatus 100 based on the display information of the staff contact 202.
After all the banknotes inserted into the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 have been successfully transported, the user indicates the amount of banknotes deposited by the banknote discriminating unit 30 to the customer and confirms the customer's willingness to deposit again. (Step S60 in FIG. 4). When the customer indicates the willingness to deposit, the transaction is completed, and the ownership of the banknote is transferred from the customer to the financial institution.
When the user presses the confirm button 91 based on the customer's will, the deposit transaction is confirmed (YES arrow in step S60), and the deposit transaction process in the bill handling apparatus 100 ends. On the other hand, when the user presses the cancel button 92 based on the will of the customer, the deposit transaction is canceled (NO arrow in step S60). In this case, the banknote handling apparatus 100 returns the banknote deposited from the customer to the customer as it is, by the process described below. In step S70, the main control unit 161 switches the configuration of the transport path 80 to configure a transport path for refund.
FIG. 7 is a schematic view showing a banknote transport path for returning customer banknotes stored in the first to fourth banknote storages 71 to 74 to the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 in the deposit transaction process. . FIG. 7 is substantially the same as FIG. 5 except that the banknote conveyance direction shown in the figure is reversed.
The main control unit 161 switches the rotation direction of the first and second drive motors 10m and 20m to the opposite direction to the banknote storing process described in FIG. As a result, the banknotes can be transported from the banknote storage boxes 71 to 74 to the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 via the banknote discrimination unit 30. In step S80 (FIG. 4), the main controller 161 controls the transport paths 71a to 74a to feed out banknotes one by one from each of the banknote storage boxes 71 to 74.
Here, the main control unit 161 acquires the banknote serial number and storage location data (hereinafter also simply referred to as “recording data”) acquired by the banknote discrimination unit 30 in step S30 and stored in the memory 162 or the operation terminal 200. ). Then, the banknotes are fed out from the banknote storages 71 to 74 based on the banknote storage destination recorded in the recording data. Hereinafter, the banknotes drawn out from the banknote storages 71 to 74 are also referred to as “returned banknotes”.
The returned banknotes fed out from the first to third banknote storages 71 to 73 reach the banknote discriminating unit 30 via the transport paths 50a and 10a. The returned banknotes fed out from the fourth banknote storage 74 reach the banknote discriminating unit 30 via the transport paths 50b, 50a, 10a. The banknote discrimination | determination part 30 reads the serial number of a returned banknote, and collates with the recording data acquired from the memory 162 or the operation terminal 200 (step S90).
The main control unit 161 continues the conveyance for returning the banknote while confirming that the serial number of the returned banknote is present in the data recorded in step S30 (step S100). In the collation processing of the serial number in step S90, when a mismatch between the serial number of the recording data of the operation terminal 200 and the serial number of the returned banknote is not detected, the user is accumulated in the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40. Return the returned banknote to the customer.
On the other hand, if a mismatch between the serial number of the recorded data and the serial number of the returned banknote is detected in the serial number matching process in step S90, the main control unit 161 notifies the display unit of the operation terminal 200 to that effect. To the user (step S115). In addition, as a case where the serial number mismatch occurs, there are, for example, a case where the number of returned banknotes is insufficient, or a case where banknotes having serial numbers not included in the recorded data are mixed in the returned banknotes.
FIG. 8 is a schematic diagram showing a display example of a message notified to the user in step S110. When this clerk notice 201 is displayed, the user checks the banknote serial numbers of the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 and the deposit reject bank 60, and investigates banknotes in the first to fourth banknote storages 71-74. For example, the banknotes deposited from the customer are matched with the returned banknotes.
By the way, in the conventional banknote handling device, until the deposit transaction is confirmed by the customer, the banknote deposited by the customer is stored in the temporary storage unit so that it can be returned as it is. I was returning. On the other hand, in the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example, since the banknote deposited from the customer is recorded and stored with its serial number and storage location, when the deposit is canceled, the same serial number is stored based on the serial number. Bills with numbers can be returned to customers.
Therefore, in the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example, the temporary storage part of banknotes can be omitted, and the conveyance path for storing banknotes can be shortened accordingly, and the apparatus itself can be downsized. it can. In addition, with the shortening of the banknote transport path, the deposit transaction process can be executed at high speed and efficiently, and the banknote can be prevented from being worn out, damaged, or lost by the transport. Therefore, the manageability of banknotes in the banknote handling apparatus 100 can be improved.
[B] Withdrawal transaction processing:
FIG. 9 is a flowchart showing a processing procedure of a withdrawal transaction process executed in the banknote handling apparatus 100. Here, the “withdrawal transaction process” is a process of taking out a banknote having an amount according to a request from a customer from the banknote handling apparatus 100. Note that, in the withdrawal transaction process, reject banknotes detected during conveyance are excluded from the transaction object, as in the deposit transaction process.
In step S200, the main control unit 161 configures a transport path for the withdrawal transaction process in the processing mechanism 101. The main control unit 161 then feeds out necessary banknotes one by one from the first to fourth banknote storages 71 to 74 and starts transporting banknotes.
FIG. 10 is a schematic diagram showing a banknote transport path in the withdrawal transaction process. FIG. 10 is substantially the same as FIG. 7 except that the conveyance path of reject banknotes is shown by a one-dot chain line. In FIG. 10, for convenience, the conveyance path 50b has two states: when it functions as a normal banknote conveyance path (solid line) and when it functions as a reject banknote conveyance path (dashed line). Each is shown offset.
In the withdrawal transaction process, the banknotes drawn out from the respective banknote storages 71 to 74 are transported to the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 through the same path as the return banknote transport path in the above-described deposit transaction process. Here, in the withdrawal transaction process, the banknote determination unit 30 performs a determination process as to whether or not the banknote is a reject banknote (step S210 in FIG. 9).
When a reject banknote is detected, the main control unit 161 transports the reject banknote to the withdrawal reject warehouse 70 by switching the configuration of the transport path 80 as follows (step S220). The main control unit 161 temporarily stops paying out banknotes from the fourth banknote storage 74. At this time, the feeding of banknotes from the first to third banknote storages 71 to 73 and the transport of banknotes in the transport paths 50a and 10a are continued.
When the main control unit 161 detects that there is no banknote being conveyed on the conveyance path 50b, the main control unit 161 reverses the conveyance direction of the conveyance path 50b and drives the connected conveyance path 70a of the withdrawal reject box 70 ( (Conveyance route indicated by a one-dot chain line in FIG. 10). Further, the main control unit 161 controls the gate 14 to cut off the connection between the conveyance path 10e and the conveyance path 40a, to connect the conveyance path 10e and the conveyance path 10f, and to control the gate 15, The conveyance path 10f and the conveyance path 50b are connected.
The reject banknote on the transport path 10e is transported to the transport path 50b through the transport path 10f, and is transported to the withdrawal reject box 70 through the transport path 50b and the connected transport path 70a. When the storage of the rejected banknote in the withdrawal / rejection bank 70 is completed, the main control unit 161 returns to the configuration of the banknote transport path from each banknote storage 71 to 74 to the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 again.
By the way, in the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example, the rejection banknote discrimination process by the banknote discrimination unit 30 is completed while the banknote to be discriminated passes through the transport path 10d on the front side of the banknote discrimination unit 30. . Thereby, the banknote which is the discrimination target can be smoothly conveyed to the conveyance path 10f connected to the conveyance path 40a of the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 or the withdrawal reject box 70 according to the discrimination result. That is, the conveyance path 10d functions as a path for securing a time until a determination result for the rejected banknote is obtained.
In the withdrawal transaction process, the reject banknote may be transported to the deposit rejection store 60 in place of the withdrawal reject store 70. In this case, the main control unit 161 drives the deposit reject transfer path 60a of the deposit reject box 60 and controls the gate 55 to connect the deposit reject transfer path 60a and the transfer path 50b.
The main control unit 161 continues the conveyance of the banknotes until the necessary amount of banknotes is accommodated in the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 (step S230 in FIG. 9). Open the shutter 41 of the gate 40. Thereby, the user can take out a bundle of banknotes from the banknote deposit / withdrawal port 40 and give it to the customer.
As described above, in the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example, the withdrawal transaction processing for quickly withdrawing reject banknotes from the transaction target is efficiently executed by the banknote transport path having a simple configuration. Moreover, the banknote conveyance path | route in the apparatus of the banknote handling apparatus 100 is shortened and simplified, The protection property of the banknote in withdrawal transaction processing is improved. In this withdrawal transaction process, the main control unit 161 may cause the banknote discrimination unit 30 to acquire the banknote serial number.
As mentioned above, if it is the banknote handling apparatus 100 of a reference example, the manageability of a banknote will be improved by providing the banknote discrimination | determination part 30 which can acquire the serial number of a banknote, reducing the banknote handling apparatus 100 in size. Yes. Moreover, if it is the banknote handling apparatus 100, it is possible to perform a deposit transaction process and a withdrawal transaction process efficiently and rapidly.
Next, a bill handling apparatus as an embodiment of the present invention will be described below. The transport path 80A of the processing mechanism 101A is a reference example except that the transport paths 10eA and 10dA are provided instead of the transport paths 10e and 10d and that the transport paths 10b, 45a and the gate 16 are added. This is the same as the conveyance path 80 (FIGS. 1 and 2). In the processing mechanism 101A, the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 40 and the bill discriminating unit 30 are connected by the transport path 40a and the transport paths 10eA and 10dA. That is, in the banknote handling apparatus 100A of the present embodiment, the annular conveyance path 10 driven by the first drive motor 10m is configured by the conveyance paths 50a, 10a, 30a, 10dA, 10eA, and 10f.
The transport path 10eA is connected to the deposit / withdrawal transport path 40a. The conveyance path 10eA extends obliquely upward from a connection portion with the deposit / withdrawal conveyance path 40a, then bends to the rear side, extends substantially horizontally above the bill discriminating unit 30, and is connected to the conveyance path 10dA. The conveyance path 10dA is folded forward from the connection portion with the conveyance path 10eA, extends substantially horizontally between the horizontal portion of the conveyance path 10eA and the bill discriminating unit 30, and then bends downward in the gravitational direction. It is connected to the conveyance path 30 a of the bill discriminating unit 30.
The conveyance path 10 b is a conveyance path for carrying banknotes into the outlet storage 47 of the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 45. The conveyance path 10 b is a conveyance path that is folded back into a substantially S shape, and is connected to the lower end of the outlet storage 47 and the folded portion of the conveyance path 10 dA above the banknote determination unit 30. Specifically, the conveyance path 10b is bent from the connection portion with the conveyance path 10dA and extends downward in the gravitational direction, and further bent and extends upward in the gravitational direction, thereby being connected to the lower end of the outlet storage 47. ing.
In addition, the gate 16 is provided in the connection site | part of the conveyance path 10dA and the conveyance path 10b. The gate 16 can change the conveyance destination of the banknote currently conveyed via conveyance path 10dA, 10eA to the conveyance path 10b by the switching operation.
The conveyance path 45a is a conveyance path for paying out banknotes from the entrance storage 46 of the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 45. With such a configuration, the banknote handling apparatus 100A according to the present embodiment can execute the deposit transaction process and the withdrawal transaction process as follows.
[C] Second Deposit Transaction Processing In the bill handling apparatus 100A of the present embodiment, as deposit transaction processing, first deposit transaction processing in which a bill deposited by a user from a customer is inserted into a customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 40; The customer himself / herself can appropriately switch and execute the second deposit transaction processing in which the bill is inserted into the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 45. Specifically, it is as follows.
FIG. 12 is a flowchart showing a processing procedure of a transaction start process executed at the start of execution of a deposit transaction process in the banknote handling apparatus 100A of the present embodiment. In step S300, the main controller 161 executes an initial setting process for starting the deposit transaction process. Specifically, the main control unit 161 sets setting values for setting the deposit / withdrawal ports 40 and 45 to be used and various setting values as initial values. Further, the main control unit 161 erases information related to banknotes recorded in the deposit transaction process executed last time, or saves it in another storage area that is not used in the present deposit transaction process.
In step S310, the main control unit 161 determines which of the deposit / withdrawal ports 40 and 45 accepts the banknote, that is, which of the first and second deposit transaction processes is to be executed. Specifically, the main control unit 161 determines the execution of the first deposit transaction process (step S320) when the storage of the banknote in the user deposit / withdrawal port 40 is detected, and the customer deposit / withdrawal port. When the storage of the banknote in 45 is detected, execution of the second deposit transaction process (step S330) is determined. In step S310, the main control unit 161 may determine which of the first and second deposit transaction processes is to be executed according to the operation of the user or customer.
The first deposit transaction process (step S320) is executed in the same manner as the deposit transaction process (FIGS. 4 to 8) performed by the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example. That is, in the first deposit transaction process, the main control unit 161 conveys the banknotes inserted into the user-side deposit / withdrawal port 40 by the user to the banknote storages 71 to 74 while acquiring the serial numbers. And store. Further, when the transaction is stopped, the main control unit 161 conveys the returned banknote to the user-side deposit / withdrawal port 40 while executing the serial number matching process for the returned banknote. The returned banknote is taken out from the user deposit / withdrawal port 40 by the user and handed to the customer.
FIG. 13 is a flowchart showing the processing procedure of the second deposit transaction processing executed in the banknote handling apparatus 100A of the present embodiment. In step S <b> 400, the main control unit 161 once transports the banknote inserted into the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 45 by the customer to the user-side deposit / withdrawal port 40.
FIG. 14 is a schematic diagram showing a conveyance path when conveying the banknote of the customer side deposit / withdrawal port 45 to the user side deposit / withdrawal port 40 in the second deposit transaction process. In FIG. 14, similarly to FIG. 10, the transport path of banknotes is indicated by solid arrows, and the transport path of reject banknotes is illustrated by dashed-dotted arrows. Moreover, in FIG. 14, the conveyance path which is not used for conveyance of a banknote is illustrated with the broken line.
The main controller 161 drives the first drive motor 10m so that the banknote transport direction in the annular transport path 10 is the first transport direction D1. Further, the gate 14 is controlled to release the connection between the deposit / withdrawal conveyance path 40a and the conveyance path 10f. Further, the main control unit 161 starts driving the two transport paths 10 a and 45 a between the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 45 and the bill discriminating unit 30.
The banknotes thrown into the entrance storage 46 by the customer are fed one by one to the transport path 10a via the transport path 45a and transported to the banknote discriminating unit 30. The banknote discrimination | determination part 30 performs discrimination | determination of the money type about the conveyed banknote, and detection of a reject banknote. Normal banknotes that are not detected as reject banknotes in the banknote discriminating unit 30 are carried into the user-side deposit / withdrawal port 40 via the transport paths 10dA, 10eA, and 40a.
On the other hand, when a reject banknote is detected in the banknote discriminating unit 30, the main control unit 161 controls the gate 16 to convey the detected reject banknote from the transport path 10dA to the transport path 10b. Thereby, the reject banknote detected from the banknotes thrown in by the customer is carried into the exit storage 47 and returned to the customer.
When the conveyance of the banknotes to the user-side deposit / withdrawal port 40 is completed, the main control unit 161 completes the banknotes stored in the user-side deposit / withdrawal port 40 based on the banknote discrimination result acquired from the banknote discrimination unit 30. The total amount is calculated, and the calculation result is notified to the user via the display unit or the like. At this stage, the user notifies the customer of the result, prompts the customer to decide whether to confirm or cancel the transaction, and instructs the customer to operate the operation reception unit 95. Become.
When the customer presses the cancel button 92 of the operation accepting unit 95, the main control unit 161 opens the shutter 41 of the user deposit / withdrawal port 40 (steps S410 and S430 in FIG. 13). Thereby, the user can take out the banknote of the user side deposit / withdrawal port 40 and return the banknote to the customer. On the other hand, when the customer presses the confirmation button 91 of the operation receiving unit 95, the main control unit 161 starts processing for storing the banknotes of the user-side deposit / withdrawal port 40 in the banknote storages 71 to 74. (Step S420).
FIG. 15 is a schematic view similar to FIG. 14 showing a banknote transport path when storing banknotes in the user-side deposit / withdrawal port 40 in the banknote storages 71 to 74 in the second deposit transaction process. . The main controller 161 controls the gate 15 to connect the transport path 10a and the transport path 50b. Moreover, the main control part 161 drives the 1st drive motor 10m so that the conveyance direction of the banknote of the cyclic | annular conveyance path 10 may become the 2nd conveyance direction D2, and the conveyance direction of the banknote of the conveyance path 50b is back. The second drive motor 20m is driven so as to be directed from the side toward the front side.
After forming the banknote transport path in this way, the main control unit 161 drives the deposit / withdrawal transport path 40a to feed the banknotes in the user-side deposit / withdrawal port 40 one by one to the transport path 10eA. The fed banknotes are conveyed to the banknote discriminating unit 30 through the conveyance paths 10eA and 10dA. The banknote discrimination | determination part 30 performs discrimination | determination of a denomination and detection of a reject banknote about the banknote currently conveyed. At this time, the main controller 161 does not cause the banknote discriminator 30 to read the serial number.
The banknote which passed the banknote discrimination | determination part 30 is conveyed to the conveyance paths 50a and 50b via the conveyance path 10a. The main control unit 161 controls the gates 51 to 54 according to the denomination determined by the banknote determination unit 30 to transfer the banknotes in the transport path 50a or the transport path 50b to the corresponding denomination banknote storages 71 to 74. Bring it in. In addition, the main control unit 161 transfers the rejected banknote detected by the banknote determination unit 30 from the transport path 50a to the transport path 50b, and then controls the gate 55 to connect the reject banknote via the connection transport path 70a. It is carried into the withdrawal reject box 70.
Thus, in the banknote handling apparatus 100A of the present embodiment, the customer himself can insert the banknote and take out the banknote in the second deposit transaction process. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of loss due to user error or fraud. Further, in the second deposit transaction process, the user side deposit / withdrawal port 40 is used as a temporary storage (temporary storage), and the user side deposit / withdrawal port 40 is effectively utilized without being wasted. Furthermore, when storing the banknote after the transaction is confirmed, the banknote is transported by the transport path used in the first deposit transaction processing, and the addition of the transport path accompanying the addition of the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 45 is suppressed to the minimum. ing.
[D] Second withdrawal transaction process In the banknote handling apparatus 100A of the present embodiment, the banknote delivery destination is set to the user-side deposit / withdrawal port 40 and the customer side by the user's operation during the withdrawal transaction process. The deposit / withdrawal port 45 can be selected. Below, the conveyance path | route of the banknote in a 2nd payment transaction process when the customer side deposit or withdrawal port 45 is selected as a banknote delivery destination is demonstrated. In addition, since the conveyance route of the banknote in the 1st withdrawal transaction processing when the user side deposit / withdrawal port 40 is selected as a banknote delivery destination is the same as the withdrawal transaction processing in the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example. The description is omitted.
FIG. 16 is a schematic view similar to FIG. 15, showing a banknote transport path in the second withdrawal transaction process in which the banknote delivery destination is the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 45. In the second withdrawal transaction process, the main controller 161 controls the gate 15 to connect the conveyance path 50a of the annular conveyance path 10 and the conveyance path 50b that is the horizontal conveyance path 20 to each other.
The main control unit 161 controls the gate 16 to connect the conveyance paths 10dA and 10b between the bill discriminating unit 30 and the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 45 to each other. Further, the main controller 161 drives the first drive motor 10m so that the banknote transport direction of the annular transport path 10 is the first transport direction D1, and the banknote transport direction of the horizontal transport path 20 is the same. The second drive motor 20m is driven so as to be in the direction from the front side to the rear side.
After configuring the transport path 80A as described above, the main control unit 161 drives each of the connected transport paths 71a to 74a to transfer the necessary banknotes from the first to fourth banknote storages 71 to 74, respectively. The paper is fed out one by one and the conveyance of banknotes is started. The banknotes fed out from the first to fourth banknote storages 71 to 74 are transported to the banknote discriminating unit 30 via the transport path 50a.
The main control unit 161 causes the bill discriminating unit 30 to detect rejected bills. Normal banknotes other than reject banknotes that have passed through the banknote discriminating unit 30 are carried into the outlet storage 47 of the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 45 via the transport paths 10dA, 10b. On the other hand, when a reject banknote is detected in the banknote discriminating unit 30, the main control unit 161 controls the transport path 80A as follows to transport the reject banknote to the withdrawal reject box 70.
When the main control unit 161 detects that there is no banknote being conveyed on the conveyance path 50b, the main control unit 161 reverses the conveyance direction of the conveyance path 50b and drives the connected conveyance path 70a of the withdrawal reject box 70 ( (Conveying route indicated by a dashed line arrow). The main control unit 161 controls the gate 14 to connect the transport path 10eA and the transport path 10f, and controls the gate 15 to connect the transport path 10f and the transport path 50b.
The main controller 161 controls the gate 16 to guide the reject banknotes conveyed by the conveyance path 10dA to the conveyance path 10eA. The reject banknote transported to the transport path 10eA is transported to the transport path 50b via the transport path 10f, and is transported to the withdrawal reject box 70 via the connection transport path 70a. When the storage of the reject banknote in the withdrawal / rejection bank 70 is completed, the main control unit 161 returns again to the configuration of the transport path for transporting the banknote from each banknote storage 71 to 74 to the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 45. .
Thus, in the banknote handling apparatus 100A of the present embodiment, the banknote can be transported so that the customer can directly take out the banknote from the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 45 in the second withdrawal transaction process. . Therefore, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of loss due to user error or fraud. Moreover, the banknote can also be carried out to the user side deposit / withdrawal port 40 as needed, and the convenience is improved.
As described above, with the banknote handling apparatus 100A of the present embodiment, transaction processing for inserting and removing banknotes by a user and transaction processing for inserting and removing banknotes by a customer are appropriately selected and executed. The operation variations can be extended. In addition, as described above, the addition of the transport path due to the additional provision of the customer-side deposit / withdrawal port 45 is suppressed to the minimum, and the complication and enlargement of the apparatus are suppressed. In addition, since the banknote handling apparatus 100A of a present Example is equipped with all the functions and structure of the banknote handling apparatus 100 of the reference example mentioned above, the effect achieved by the banknote handling apparatus 100 demonstrated in the reference example is this It can be obtained also in the banknote handling apparatus 100A of the embodiment.
