Abstract

【課題】ガラス管G1の切断時に発生するガラス微粉の内面付着によるガラス管G1の清浄性低下を確実に防ぐことができるガラス管の清浄切断装置10及び清浄切断方法を提供すること。 【解決手段】コンベヤ1により所定長さのガラス管G1を管軸周りに回転させつつ管軸に対し直交方向へ搬送しながら、該ガラス管G1の端部を切断するガラス管の切断装置において、ガラス管G1の一の端部E1側の開口部へブローエアA1を吹き込む噴気手段31と、ガラス管G1を挟んで噴気手段31に対向する位置に設けられ、ガラス管G1の他の端部E2側の外周面に擦り傷を形成するとともに熱衝撃を与えて該ガラス管G1の他の端部E2側を切断する切断刃41と、を設けた。
