鉄道車両構体1を構成する側構体20の車内側の面には断熱材71が備えられたのち、断熱材71を覆う側パネル72が、リベットやボルトナット等の機械的結手段81によって、受金61などに固定されている。
本発明の目的は、台枠と側構体との接続作業性を改善するとともに、台枠と側構体とに跨って備えられる側パネルの取り付け構造を改良して、安価な軌条車両を提供することである。
図1に示す鉄道車両構体1は、台枠10の幅方向110の両端部に立設される側構体20,20(一方のみ図示)と、台枠10の長手方向120の両端部に立設される妻構体40,40(一方のみ図示)と、側構体20,20と妻構体40,40の上端部に載置される屋根構体30から構成される。
妻構体40,40を構成する押出形材は、アルミニウム合金製のリブ付き形材であり、鉄道車両構体1の高さ方向100に沿って、押出成型されている。
