Description
Title of Invention: VEHICLE TRAVELING ON TRACK
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a vehicle traveling on track, having a body structure composed of a base frame, a side body structure, a gable end body structure, and a roof body structure, inside which there is provided an interior material having a function of improving heat insulation, sound insulation, and design.
Background Art
[0002] A railway vehicle serving as a representative of a vehicle traveling on track, which runs along a constructed track, is taken as an example to be described below.
A railway vehicle body structure is generally composed of: a base frame constituting a floor face; a side body structure erected at an end of the base frame in its width direction, constituting a side face; a gable end body structure erected at an end of the base frame in its longitudinal direction; and a roof body structure provided above the side body structure and the gable end body structure, constituting a top face (roof face). In recent years, in order to reduce weight and improve productivity, there is a method of constructing a railway vehicle body structure, gradually becoming widespread, in which a roof body structure, a side body structure, a base frame, and the like, are composed of extruded hollow-shaped members made of aluminum alloy, each of which is composed of two face plates facing each other, and a plurality of ribs connecting the face plates to each other.
[0003] In general, first the predetermined number of extruded members formed into a predetermined shape by extrusion molding are arranged on a top face of a frame along an extruding direction of the extruded members, and then the extruded members are joined along a join line, which is formed by allowing joint surfaces of the extruded members to butt on each other, by friction stir welding or welding to manufacture a roof body structure, a side body structure, a base frame, and the like.
Next, gable end body structures are erected at both ends of the base frame in a longitudinal direction as well as side body structures are erected at both ends of the base frame in a width direction, and also joint portions of lower ends of the gable end body structures and the side body structures, and ends of the base frame, and joint portions of the gable end body structure and the side body structure in the vertical direction: are joined by friction stir welding, welding, mechanical fastening means, or the like. Finally, a roof body structure is mounted on upper ends of the gable end body structures and the side body structures, and joint portions of the upper ends of the gable end body structures and the side body structures, and ends of the roof body structure, are joined by friction stir welding, welding, mechanical fastening means, or the ike to manufacture a railway vehicle body structure with six faces.
The structure of a raway vehicle body structure manufactured as above is shown in Patent Literatures 1 and 2, for example.
[0004] Inside a railway vehicle body structure, an interior material, such as a ceiling pan& and a side panel, is provided to improve heat insulation and sound insulation, and is provided with design. In a face of the railway vehicle body structure on the vehicle interior side, a receiving bracket used for attachment and removal (if necessary) of the interior material is integrally molded with an extruded member constituting the railway vehicle body structure. Recently, a method of attaching an interior material to the receiving bracket by mechanical fastening means has gradually become widespread. A method of attaching an interior material as described above is shown in Patent Literature 3, for example.
[0005] With reference to FIG. 5, there is shown a conventional attachment structure of an interior material for improving heat insulation and sound insulation, being provided with design, which is attached to a face of a side body structure constituting a railway vehicle body structure, on a vehicle interior side. FIG. 5 is a sectional view of a joint portion in which a lower end of a side body structure 20 and an end of a base frame in a width direction (arrow 110) are joined by welding, the sectional view being taken along a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of a railway vehicle body structure cross section and enlarged The side body structure 20 and the base frame 10 are provided in a state in which an end of the side body structure 20 on a vehicle exterior side and an end of the base frame 10 on the vehicle exterior side are joined in a joint portion 51 as well as an end of the side body structure 20 on a vehicle interior side and an end of the base frame 10 on the vehicle interior side are joined in a joint portion 52 [0006] The end of the base frame 10 in the width direction on the vehicle interior side is provided with a receiving bracket 61 to which a side panel 72 serving as an interior material described later is fixed so as to be parallel to a face of the side body structure 20 on the vehicle interior side, the receiving bracket 61 being integrally provided when an extruded hollow-shaped members constituting the base frame 10 is formed by extrusion molding. The side body structure 20 is provided at its upper portion with a receiving bracket (not shown) to which the side panel 72 is fixed together with the receiving bracket 61 described before.
After a heat insulation material 71 is provided on the face of the side body structure 20 constituting a railway vehicle body structure 1, on the vehicle interior side, the heat insulation material 71 is covered with a side panel 72 that is fixed to the receiving bracket 61 or the like with mechanical fastening means 81 such as a rivet and a bolt-nut.
[0007] Unfortunately, the structure above has three problems as follows: first, in a positioning operation when the side body structure 20 is joined to the end of the base frame 10 in the width direction, the positioning operation may take time because rigidity of the side body structure 20 is reduced to cause local deformation due to a large opening such as an entrance door provided in the side body structure 20; second, when the base frame 10 and the side body structure 20 are welded, there is a tendency to increase man-hours of welding the joint portion of the base frame 10 and the side body structure 20 on the vehicle interior side by being obstructed with the receiving bracket 61 provided in the base frame 10; and third, the side panel 72 provided parallel to the face of the side body structure 20 on the vehicle interior side are fixed to the receiving bracket 61 provided in the base frame 10 and the receiving bracket (not shown) provided at the upper portion of the side body structure 20 by straddling them, and then if the base frame 10 and the side body structure 20 are not accurately constructed, a problem of requiring many man-hours in positioning operation of the side panel 72 may occur.

[0014] An example of the vehicle traveling on track in accordance with the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. A vehicle traveling on track is a vehicle that runs along a constructed track, including a railway vehicle, a street car, a monorail vehicle, a vehicle used in a new traffic system, and the like. A railway vehicle serving as a representative of a vehicle traveling on track is taken as an example to explain the vehicle traveling on track in accordance with the present invention below.
A railway vehicle body structure I shown in FIG. I is composed of: side body structures 20 and 20 (one of them is shown) erected at both ends of a base frame 10 in a width direction 110; gable end body structures 40 and 40 (one of them is shown) erected at both ends of the base frame 10 in a longitudinal direction 120; and a roof body structure 30 mounted on upper ends of the side body structures 20 and 20, and the gable end body structures 40 and 40.
[0015] The base frame 10, the side body structures 20 and 20, and the roof body structure 30, are composed of extruded hollow-shaped members made of aluminum alloy, which are formed by extrusion molding in a direction along the longitudinal direction 120 of the railway vehicle body structure, and after about five to ten pieces of the extruded member are arranged along the extrusion direction, ends of them in their width direction are allowed to butt on each other and joined to manufacture the frame and structures.
Extruded members constituting the gable end body structures 40 and 40 are made of aluminum alloy and have ribs. The extruded members are formed by extrusion molding along a height direction 100 of the railway vehicle body structure 1.
[0016] FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the railway vehicle body structure I shown FIG. 1, taken along line A-A, and FIG. 3 is a detail view of the portion B of the sectional view taken along the line A-A shown in FIG. 2.
[0017] A lower end of the side body structure 20 and an end of the base frame 10 in the width direction 110 are joined at a joint portion 51 on a vehicle exterior side and a joint portion 52 on a vehicle interior side by welding their bulling portions. An upper end of the side body structure 20 and an end of the roof body structure 30 in the width direction 110 are joined at a joint portion 53 on the vehicle exterior side and a joint portion 54 on the vehicle interior side by welding their butting portions. The joint portions 51 to 54 may be joined by mechanical fastening means, such as friction stir welding and a bolt.
[0018] Heat insulation materials 71 for preventing heat from being transmitted from a vehicle interior (vehicle exterior) to a vehicle exterior (vehicle interior) is attached to faces of the side body structure 20 and the roof body structure 30 on the vehicle interior side with adhesive or the like, and then a side panel 72 serving as an interior material and a ceiling panel 73 are provided so as to cover over the heat insulation material 71.
[0019] The ceiling panel 73 is attached to a plurality of receiving brackets 63 provided on the vehicle interior side of the roof body structure 30 with bolts 63 arranged at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction 120 (refer to FIG. 1) of the roof body structure 30. The receiving bracket 63 is formed so that two members formed in an L-shape in section facing each other make slits, and is provided together with extruded members constituting the roof body structure 30 by extrusion molding.
[0020] A head of the bolt 83 fixing the ceiling panel 73 is inserted into the slit of the receiving bracket 63 in a posture of allowing a thread portion thereof to turn to the vehicle interior side. Although the receiving brackets 63 are provided over the entire length of the roof body structure 30, the receiving bracket 63 at a portion where the bolt 83 for fixing the ceiling panel 73 and the like to the roof body structure 30 is not arranged may be cut off if necessary to promote weight-saving of the railway vehicle body structure 1. In addition, for omission of the cut-off operation and promotion of weight-saving of the railway vehicle body structure 1, the receiving bracket 63 may be provided in the roof body structure 30 as a separated member by welding: friction stir welding, mechanical fastening means, and the like.
[0021] By using the bolts 63 inserted into the slits of the receiving brackets 63, it is possible to attach the ceiling panel 73 substantially parallel to a face of the roof body structure 30 on the vehicle interior side by tightening each of the bolt 83 with a nut from the vehicle interior side.
Wth regard to the receiving bracket 62 provided in an upper portion of the side body structure 20, the same form (aspect), and condition in which an unnecessary portion may be cut off and a receiving bracket may be composed of a separated member as those of the receiving brackets 63 apply to the receiving bracket 62 as well.
[0022] As shown in HG. 3. an overhang part 26 overhanging to the vehide interior side is integrafly formed with the side body structure 20 at a ower end of the side body structure 20, and a receiving bracket 61 extending in a direction of the height direction 100 of the raHway vehide body structure 1 is provided so that the receiving bracket 61 extends paraHel to a face of the side body structure 20 on the vehicle interior side from an end of the overhang part 26 on the vehide interior side. An end of the overhang part 26 provided with the receiving bracket 61 on the vehicle interior side and an end of a face plate 12 of the base frame 10 on the vehicle interior side are aflowed to butt on each other to constitute the joint portion 52.
The receiving bracket 61 may be cut off at predetermined intervals to reduce weight of the railway vehicle body structure 1 may be provided in the overhang part 26 by attaching the receiving bracket 61 to the side body structure 20 as a separated member by welding, friction stir welding, mechanical fastening means, and the ike.
[0023] The side panel 72 is fixed to the side body structure 20 on the vehicle interior sde with the bolt 81 provided in the receiving bracket 61 provided at the lower end of the side body structure 20 and the bolt 82 (refer to FIG. 2) provided in the receiving bracket 62 (refer to FIG. 2) provided at the upper end of the side body structure 20 so that the side panei 72 is parallel to the side body structure 20.
According to the constitution above, the overhang part 26 continuously provided at the lower end of the side body structure 20 along the ongtudnal direction of the side body structure 20 increases rigidity of the side body structure 20, so that when the sde body structure 20 is fixed to the base frame 10, deformation of the side body structure 20 is prevented and time required for positioning can be reduced.
[0024] In addition, the joint portion 52 of the lower end of the side body structure 20 and the end of the base frame 10 in the width direction 110 on the vehice interior side is positioned on the vehicle interior side of the receiving bracket 61, so that the receiving bracket 61 does not obstruct handing of a tool, such as a welding torch and a welding rod, to enable man-hours required for an operation of joining the base frame 10 and Lhe side body structure 20 to be reduced.
[0025] Further, all the receiving brackets 61 and 62 for attaching the side panel 72 to the side body structure 20 are provided in the side body structure 20, so that attachment accuracy such as parallelism of the side body structure 20 and the receiving brackets 61 and 62 can be secured regardless of joint (construction) accuracy of the side body structure 20 and the base frame 10, and of the side body structure 20 and the roof body structure 30, thereby facilitating positioning for attaching the side panel 72 to the side body structure 20.
[0026] Furthermore, all the receiving brackets for fixing the side panel 72 to the side body structure 20 are provided in the side body structure 20, so that the side panel 72 can be attached to the side body structure 20 in advance before the railway vehicle body structure I with six faces is constructed. A side panel 72 is provided at its lower end with an inlet 84 into which a receiving bracket 61 provided at a lower end of a side body structure 20 on a vehicle interior side is inserted. An upper end of the side panel 72, like Example I, is attached to a receiving bracket 62 provided at an upper end of the side body structure 20 on the vehicle interior side with bolts 82 arranged at predetermined intervals in a longitudinal direction 120 of the side body structure 20.
[0030] According to the constitution above, a bolt provided at the lower end of the side panel 72 can be eliminated, so that it is possible to fix the side panel 72 to the side body structure 20 by small man-hours as well as promote weight-saving by reducing the number of the bolts.
An overhang part 26 continuously provided at the lower end of the side body structure 20 along the longitudinal direction of the side body structure 20 increases rigidity of the side body structure 20, so that when the side body structure 20 is fixed to the base frame 10, deformation of the side body structure 20 is prevented and time required for positioning can be reduced.
[0031] In addition, a joint portion 52 of the lower end of the side body structure 20 and the end of the base frame 10 in a width direction 110 on the vehicle interior side is positioned on the vehicle interior side of the receiving bracket 61 so that the receiving bracket 61 does not obstruct handUng of a tool, such as a welding torch and a w&ding rod, to enable manhours required for an operation of joining the base frame 10 and the side body structure 20 to be reduced.
[0032] Further, aU the receiving brackets 61 and 62 for attaching the side panel 72 to the side body structure 20 are provided in the side body structure 20, so that attachment accuracy such as parallelism of the side body structure 20 and the receiving brackets 61 and 62 can be secured regardless of joint (construction) accuracy of the side body structure 20 and the base frame 10, and of the side body structure 20 and a rool body structure 30, thereby facflitating positioning for attaching the side panel 72 to the side body structure 20.
[0033] Furthermore, all the receiving brackets for fixing the side panel 72 to the side body structure 20 are provided in the side body structure 20, so that the side panel 72 can be attached to the side body structure 20 in advance before the railway vehicle body structure I with six faces is constructed The constitution can apply to the ceiling panel 73 to be attached to the roof body structure 30. Accordingly, it is also possible to prepare a side body structure module and a roof body structure module, to which an interior component, such as the side pane! and the ceiling pane!, are attached in advance by outwork so that the railway vehicle body structure I with six faces is constructed later.
[0034] According to the railway vehicle of the present invention, it is possible to improve workabFlity of joining the base frame and the side body structure and attach the side panel to the side body structure wfthout depending on construction accuracy of the base frame and the side body structure, therefore, manhours required for construction of the railway vehicle body structure and attachment of the side panel serving as an interior component can be reduced.
