Description
従来、特に転がり抵抗の低減と湿潤路面での安定性を両立させるために、補強性フィラーとしてシリカが幅広く使用されている。シリカの分散性を向上させるために、混合時間を長くしたり、シランカップリング剤を多く配合するなどの手法が一般に知られている。しかし、混合時間を長くすると、ゲル分が増加しすぎて転がり抵抗が悪化するので好ましくない。また、シランカップリング剤を多く配合すると、スコーチ時間が短くなりすぎて、トレッドの押出性が悪化する。
一方、メルカプト系のシランカップリング剤は、シリカの分散性を高め、物性を向上させることが可能であるが、加工性が悪化してしまう問題がある。ジエン系ゴム、シリカ、特定の式で表されるメルカプトシランカップリング剤等を含有するゴム組成物が提案されている(例えば特許文献1)。
そこで、本発明は、加工性を確保しながら物性を向上させることができる(詳細には、湿潤路面での安定性および転がり抵抗の低減、並びにこれらのバランスに優れる。以下同様。)タイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物を提供することを目的とする。
1. ジエン系ゴム100質量部に対し、シリカ5~150質量部と、下記シロキサン平均式(1)

で表されるシリコーンオリゴマー0.5~20質量部とを配合し、
上記ジエン系ゴムが、芳香族ビニル含有量が20~45質量%であり、共役ジエン中のビニル結合量が10~50%である芳香族ビニル-共役ジエン共重合体を、上記ジエン系ゴム100質量部中50質量部以上含むことを特徴とするタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物。
2. 上記シロキサン平均式(1)において、0<a<1、0<b<2、0<c<1、0≦d<1であることを特徴とする上記1に記載のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物。
3. 上記シリカの少なくとも一部が、N2SA100~300m2/gのシリカである上記1または2に記載のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物。

本発明のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物は、

で表されるシリコーンオリゴマー0.5~20質量部とを配合し、
前記ジエン系ゴムが、芳香族ビニル含有量が20~45質量%であり、共役ジエン中のビニル結合量が10~50%である芳香族ビニル-共役ジエン共重合体を、前記ジエン系ゴム100質量部中50質量部以上含むことを特徴とするタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物である。
本発明において、ジエン系ゴムは、加工性を確保しながら物性を向上させることができるという観点から、芳香族ビニル含有量が20~45質量%であり、共役ジエン中のビニル結合量が10~50%である芳香族ビニル-共役ジエン共重合体を含む。
芳香族ビニル-共役ジエン共重合体は、芳香族ビニルモノマーと共役ジエンモノマーとを含有する単量体を用いて得られる共重合体である。例えば、スチレンブタジエンゴム、スチレンイソプレンゴム、スチレンイソプレンブタジエンゴム、αメチルスチレンブタジエンゴム、αメチルスチレンイソプレンゴム、αメチルスチレンイソプレンブタジエンゴムなどが挙げられる。なかでも容易に入手可能で加工性、物性に優れるという観点から、スチレンブタジエンゴムが好ましい。
また、本発明において、芳香族ビニル-共役ジエン共重合体の共役ジエン部中の1,2-結合量(例えば、ブタジエンによる1,2-結合量)は、加工性に優れ、物性を向上させることができ、スコーチ安定性に優れるという観点から、10~50%であり、25~48%であるのがより好ましい。
芳香族ビニル-共役ジエン共重合体の重量平均分子量は、加工性により優れ、物性をより向上させることができ、転がり抵抗に優れるという観点から、100,000~2,000,000であるのが好ましく、300,000~1,500,000であるのがより好ましい。芳香族ビニル-共役ジエン共重合体の重量平均分子量(Mw)は、テトラヒドロフランを溶媒とするゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(GPC)により標準ポリスチレン換算により測定するものとする。
他のジエン系ゴムがブタジエンゴムである場合その含有量は、加工性を確保しながら物性をより向上させることができ、転がり抵抗に優れるという観点から、ジエン系ゴム全量中、45質量%以下であるのが好ましく、5~40質量%であるのがより好ましい。
ジエン系ゴムはそれぞれ単独でまたは2種以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。ジエン系ゴムはその製造について特に制限されない。
シリカは、加工性を確保しながら物性をより向上させることができ、湿潤路面での安定性と転がり抵抗に優れるという観点から、N2SA(窒素吸着比表面積)100~300m2/gのシリカを少なくとも含むのが好ましく、N2SA150~300m2/gのシリカを少なくとも含むのがより好ましい。
シリカはそれぞれ単独でまたは2種以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。
本発明において、使用されるシリカの量は加工性を確保しながら物性を向上させることができ、湿潤路面での安定性と転がり抵抗に優れるという観点から、ジエン系ゴム100質量部に対して、5~150質量部であり、同様の理由から20~140質量部であるのが好ましく、35~140質量部であるのがより好ましい。

R1は炭素数4~10の一価炭化水素基である。炭素数4~10の一価炭化水素基としては、脂肪族炭化水素基、脂環式炭化水素基、芳香族炭化水素基、これらの組合わせが挙げられる。炭素数4~10の一価炭化水素基は、直鎖状、分岐状であってもよい。具体的には例えば、ブチル基、ペンチル基、ヘキシル基、ヘプチル基、オクチル基、ノニル基、デシル基のような脂肪族炭化水素基;シクロヘキシル基のような脂環式炭化水素基が挙げられる。炭素数4~10の一価炭化水素基は、酸素原子、窒素原子、硫黄原子のようなヘテロ原子を含まないものとすることができる。
なかでも、容易に入手が可能でシリカの分散性に優れるという観点から、R1が下記有機基(2)であるのが好ましい。

R2は炭素数1~3の一価炭化水素基である。具体的には、メチル基、エチル基、プロピル基、イソプロピル基が挙げられる。
式中のbは、シリカの分散性に優れるという観点から、0<b<3であり、0<b<2であるのが好ましく、1.2<b<1.6であるのがより好ましい。
式中のcは、シリカの分散性に優れるという観点から、0<c<2であり、0<c<1であるのが好ましく、0.5<c<1であるのがより好ましい。
式中のdは、シリカの分散性に優れるという観点から、0≦d<2であり、0≦d<1であるのが好ましく、0≦d≦0.1であるのがより好ましい。
式中のa+b+c+dは、シリカの分散性に優れるという観点から、0<a+b+c+d<4であり、1.7<a+b+c+d<3.2であるのが好ましい。
シリコーンオリゴマーの酢酸/ヨウ化カリウム/ヨウ素酸カリウム添加-チオ硫酸ナトリウム溶液滴定法によるメルカプト当量は、加硫反応性に優れるという観点から、550~700g/molであるのが好ましく、600~650g/molであるのがより好ましい。
式中、R5は炭素数1~4のアルコキシ基(例えば、メトキシ基、エトキシ基)、炭素数1~3の一価炭化水素基、炭素数4~10の一価炭化水素基を表し、R6は炭素数1~4のアルコキシ基(例えば、メトキシ基、エトキシ基)、炭素数1~3の一価炭化水素基、炭素数4~10の一価炭化水素基を表し、R3は、炭素数4~10の一価炭化水素基を表し、nは1~8の整数(好ましくは1~3の整数、より好ましくは3)であり、R4は、炭素数1~4のアルコキシ基(例えば、メトキシ基、エトキシ基)を表し、複数あるR4は同一であるかまたは異なっていてよい。R5、R6は加工性を確保しながらシリカの分散性に優れるという観点から、炭素数1~4のアルコキシ基(例えば、メトキシ基、エトキシ基)であるのが好ましい。式(A)において、-(CH2)n-SHはシロキサン平均式(1)中のXの一例であり、式(A)の-(CH2)n-SHを式(1)のXと置き換えることができる。式(A)、(B)における炭素数4~10の一価炭化水素基は式(1)の炭素数4~10の一価炭化水素基に対応する。
式(B)で表されるオルガノシランとしては、例えば、プロピルトリエトキシシラン、プロピルトリメトキシシラン、プロピルメチルジエトキシシラン、ジメチルジエトキシシラン、オクチルトリエトキシシラン、オクチルトリメトキシシラン、デシルトリエトキシシランまたはデシルトリメトキシシランが挙げられる。
溶媒としては、例えば、芳香族溶剤(例えばクロロベンゼン)、ハロゲン化炭化水素(例えばクロロホルム、塩化メチレン)、エーテル(例えばジイソプロピルエーテル、tertブチルメチルエーテル、テトラヒドロフランまたはジエチルエーテル)、アセトニトリル、カルボン酸エステル(例えばエチルアセテート、メチルアセテートまたはイソプロピルアセテート)、アルコール(例えばエタノール、n-プロパノール、i-プロパノール、n-ブタノール、secブタノールまたはtertブタノール)が挙げられる。なかでも、加水分解反応性及び、反応性生成物の安定性に優れるという観点から、エタノール、i-プロパノールが好ましい。
酸性触媒としては、例えば、希釈した水性鉱酸(例えば、塩酸水溶液)またはルイス酸水溶液が挙げられる。
塩基性の触媒としては、例えば、有機塩基、具体的には例えばトリエチルアミン、テトラメチルピペリジン、トリブチルアミンまたはピリジン;無機塩基、例えばNaOH、KOH、Ca(OH)2、Na2CO3、K2CO3、CaCO3、CaO、NaHCO3、KHCO3;アルコラート、例えばNaOCH3またはNaOC2H5;カルボン酸塩、例えば酢酸カリウム、酢酸ナトリウムが挙げられる。なかでも触媒効果及び反応系との相溶性に優れるという観点から、KOH、酢酸カリウムが好ましい。
シランの加水分解反応(及び/又は一部縮合)の触媒として例えばHClを使用し、シラノールの縮合(オリゴマー化)の触媒として例えばKOHを使用することができる。
触媒の量(シランの加水分解反応の触媒とシラノールの縮合反応の触媒を併用する場合はそれぞれの量)は、反応性に優れるという観点から、シリコーンオリゴマーを製造する際に使用されるシラン(例えば、式(A)で表される化合物と式(B)で表される化合物が使用される場合これらの合計量。以下同様。)に対して0.001~0.050(単位:モル当量)であるのが好ましい。
反応終了後、容易に揮発する成分を除去し、触媒を常用の方法で不活性化するかまたは除去する。
シリコーンオリゴマーはそれぞれ単独でまたは2種以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。
上記ポリスルフィドシランは、特に制限されないが、加工性が改善するとともに物性をより向上させることができる理由から、下記式(4)で表されるポリスルフィドシランであることが好ましい。
上記式(4)中、R42は炭素数1~8のアルキレン基を表す。複数あるR42は同一であっても異なっていてもよい。
上記式(4)中、mは平均値として2~8の数を表す。ここで、mの平均値とは、本発明のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物に含有される全ポリスルフィドシランについてmを平均した値(小数点以下を含む)を指す。
上記式(4)中、R42は炭素数2~6のアルキレン基であることが好ましく、炭素数2~4のアルキレン基であることがより好ましく、プロピレン基であることがさらに好ましい。
上記式(4)中、mは平均値として2~6の数であることが好ましく、3~5の数であることがより好ましく、4であることがさらに好ましい。
本発明のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物は、空気入りタイヤ(例えば、タイヤトレッド)に好適に使用することができる。
本発明の空気入りタイヤについて添付の図面を用いて以下に説明する。
図1は、タイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物を使用した空気入りタイヤの実施形態の一例を示す。図1において、1はトレッド部、2はサイドウォール部、3はビード部である。
<シリコーンオリゴマー1~4の製造>
(シリコーンオリゴマー1)
撹拌機、還流冷却器、滴下ロート及び温度計を備えた3Lセパラブルフラスコに、γ―メルカプトプロピルトリエトキシシラン238.4g(1.0mol)、オクチルトリエトキシシラン553.0g(2.0mol)、エタノール1413gを納めた後、攪拌しながら室温で0.5N―HCl水溶液41.5g(2.3mol)を滴下した。80℃で2時間攪拌した後、5%KOH/EtOH溶液20.0gを滴下し、80℃で2時間攪拌した。その後減圧留去、濾過することにより無色透明液体を652.5g得た。得られたシリコーンオリゴマーをGPCにより測定した結果、平均分子量は850であり、平均重合度は4.1(設定重合度4.0)であった。また、酢酸/ヨウ化カリウム/ヨウ素酸カリウム添加-チオ硫酸ナトリウム溶液滴定法によりメルカプト当量を測定した結果、630g/molであり、設定通りのメルカプト基含有量であることが確認された。以上より、得られたシリコーンオリゴマーは下記平均組成式で示される。

得られたシリコーンオリゴマーをシリコーンオリゴマー1とする。
撹拌機、還流冷却器、滴下ロート及び温度計を備えた3Lセパラブルフラスコに、γ―メルカプトプロピルトリエトキシシラン238.4g(1.0mol)、オクチルトリエトキシシラン553.0g(2.0mol)、エタノール1413gを納めた後、攪拌しながら室温で0.5N―HCl水溶液45.0g(2.5mol)を滴下した。80℃で2時間攪拌した後、5%KOH/EtOH溶液21.4gを滴下し、80℃で2時間攪拌した。その後減圧留去、濾過することにより無色透明液体を614.6g得た。得られたシリコーンオリゴマーをGPCにより測定した結果、平均分子量は1230であり、平均重合度は6.1(設定重合度6.0)であった。また、酢酸/ヨウ化カリウム/ヨウ素酸カリウム添加-チオ硫酸ナトリウム溶液滴定法によりメルカプト当量を測定した結果、610g/molであり、設定通りのメルカプト基含有量であることが確認された。以上より、得られたシリコーンオリゴマーは下記平均組成式で示される。

得られたシリコーンオリゴマーをシリコーンオリゴマー2とする。
還流冷却器、滴下ロート及び温度計を備えた3Lセパラブルフラスコに、オクチルトリエトキシシラン553.0g(2.0mol)、エタノール757gを納め、攪拌しながら室温で0.5N―HCl水溶液18.0g(1.0mol)とエタノール42gの混合溶液を滴下し、室温で30分攪拌した。さらに撹拌機、還流冷却器、滴下ロート及び温度計を備えた1Lセパラブルフラスコに、γ―メルカプトプロピルトリエトキシシラン238.4g(1.0mol)、エタノール300gを納め、攪拌しながら室温で0.5N―HCl水溶液9.7g(0.54mol)とエタノール23gの混合溶液を滴下し、室温で30分攪拌した後にこの反応溶液を、先の3Lセパラブルフラスコの中に滴下した。その後0.5N―HCl水溶液13.8g(0.77mol)とエタノール32gの混合溶液を滴下し80℃で2時間攪拌した後、5%KOH/EtOH溶液20.0gを滴下し、80℃で2時間攪拌した。この反応溶液を減圧留去、濾過することにより無色透明液体を653.1g得た。得られたシリコーンオリゴマーをGPCにより測定した結果、平均分子量は850であり、平均重合度は4.1(設定重合度4.0)であった。また、酢酸/ヨウ化カリウム/ヨウ素酸カリウム添加-チオ硫酸ナトリウム溶液滴定法によりメルカプト当量を測定した結果、635g/molであり、設定通りのメルカプト基含有量であることが確認された。以上より、得られたシリコーンオリゴマーは下記平均組成式で示される。

得られたシリコーンオリゴマーをシリコーンオリゴマー3とする。
還流冷却器、滴下ロート及び温度計を備えた3Lセパラブルフラスコに、オクチルトリエトキシシラン553.0g(2.0mol)、エタノール757gを納め、攪拌しながら室温で0.5N―HCl水溶液24.3g(1.35mol)とエタノール56gの混合溶液を滴下し、室温で30分攪拌した。さらに撹拌機、還流冷却器、滴下ロート及び温度計を備えた1Lセパラブルフラスコに、γ―メルカプトプロピルトリエトキシシラン238.4g(1.0mol)、エタノール300gを納め、攪拌しながら室温で0.5N―HCl水溶液11.7g(0.65mol)とエタノール23gの混合溶液を滴下し、室温で30分攪拌した後にこの反応溶液を、先の3Lセパラブルフラスコの中に滴下した。その後0.5N―HCl水溶液9.0g(0.50mol)とエタノール21gの混合溶液を滴下し80℃で2時間攪拌した後、5%KOH/EtOH溶液21.4gを滴下し、80℃で2時間攪拌した。この反応溶液を減圧留去、濾過することにより無色透明液体を614.2g得た。得られたシリコーンオリゴマーをGPCにより測定した結果、平均分子量は1225であり、平均重合度は6.1(設定重合度6.0)であった。また、酢酸/ヨウ化カリウム/ヨウ素酸カリウム添加-チオ硫酸ナトリウム溶液滴定法によりメルカプト当量を測定した結果、600g/molであり、設定通りのメルカプト基含有量であることが確認された。以上より、得られたシリコーンオリゴマーは下記平均組成式で示される。

得られたシリコーンオリゴマーをシリコーンオリゴマー4とする。
下記第1表に示す成分(加硫促進剤、硫黄以外)を同表に示す量(質量部)で用いてこれらを1.7L密閉式バンバリーミキサーで5分間混合し、ゴムを混合機外に放出させて室温冷却させた後、同バンバリーミキサーにてこれに、加硫促進剤、硫黄を配合し混合してタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物を製造した。第1表中、SBR1、2の量について、上段の値はSBR1、2(油展品)の量(単位:質量部)であり、下段の値は、SBR1、2に含まれるSBRの正味の量(単位:質量部)である。
<加硫>
得られたタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物を150℃、30分の条件でプレス加硫して目的の試験片を得た。
<評価>
上記のようにして得られた、タイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物、試験片(ペイン効果の評価に使用された試験片についてはペイン効果の項目で説明する。)を用いて、以下の評価を行った。結果を第1表に示す。評価結果は比較例1の結果を基準(基準値100)とする指数で示される。
・ムーニースコーチ:JIS K6300に基づき100℃にて測定した。指数が大きいほどスコーチ性(加工性)が良いことを示す。
・ペイン効果:未加硫ゴムを用いて160℃×20分の加硫を行い、歪0.28%~30.0%までの歪せん断応力G’測定し、その差異を指数表示した。指数が小さい程、シリカ分散が良好であることを示す。
・20℃硬度:JIS K6253に基づき20℃にて試験片の硬度を測定した。指数が大きいほど硬度が高いことを示す。
・tanδ:岩本製作所製の粘弾性スペクトロメーターを用いて、伸張変形歪率10±2%、振動数20Hz、温度0℃および60℃の条件にて測定した。指数が高いほどtanδが高いことを示す。0℃tanδが高いほど湿潤路面での安定性に優れる。60℃tanδが低いほど転がり抵抗の低減に優れる。
・SBR1:旭化成社製「E581」、油展品(SBR100質量部に対して油展オイル37.5質量部を含む。)、スチレン含有量:40質量%、ビニル結合量:44%、重量平均分子量1,260,000
・SBR2:日本ゼオン社製「NipolNs460」、油展品(SBR100質量部に対して油展オイル37.5を含む。)、スチレン含有量:27質量%、ビニル結合量:69%、重量平均分子量850,000
・BR:日本ゼオン社製「BR1220」
・シリカ1:ローディア社製「Zeosil 1165MP」N2SA=165m2/g
・シリカ2:ローディア社製「Zeosil 115GR」N2SA=115m2/g
・カーボンブラック1:東海カーボン社製「シースト6」N2SA=119m2/g
・シランカップリング剤:エボニックデグッサ社製「VPSi363」
・ポリスルフィドシラン:信越化学工業製「KBE-846」(上記式(4)で表されるポリスルフィドシラン。ここでR41:-OC2H5、R42:-(CH2)3-、m:4)
・シリコーンオリゴマー1~4:上述のとおり製造されたシリコーンオリゴマー1~4
・シリコーンオリゴマー5:モメンティブ・パフォーマンス・マテリアルズ製のNXT-Z-45(3-オクタノイルチオ-プロピルアルコキシシランと3-メルカプト-プロピルアルコキシシランの55:45(モル比)の縮合体オリゴマー)
・酸化亜鉛:酸化亜鉛3種正同化学工業(株)製
・ステアリン酸:日本油脂製ビーズステアリン酸
・老化防止剤:フレキシス製「6PPD」
・アロマオイル:昭和シェル石油社製エキストラクト4号S
・硫黄:鶴見化学工業社製「金華印油入微粉硫黄」
・加硫促進剤 CZ:大内新興化学工業製「ノクセラーGZ-G」
・加硫促進剤 DPG:住友化学工業社製「ソクシノールD-G」
これに対して、ジエン系ゴムの共役ジエン中のビニル結合量が50%を超える比較例2は転がり抵抗が増大した。シロキサン平均式(1)で表されるシリコーンオリゴマー以外のシリコーンオリゴマーを含有する比較例3は物性が低かった。
このように本発明のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物は、加工性を確保しながら、湿潤路面での安定性に優れ、転がり抵抗を低減することができ、これらのバランスに優れる等、物性を向上させることができる。

Claims (9)
- ジエン系ゴム100質量部に対し、シリカ5~150質量部と、下記シロキサン平均式(1)
(X)a(Y)b(R1)c(R2)dSiO(4-a-b-c-d)/2 (1)
(式中、Xはメルカプト基含有有機基、Yは加水分解性基、R1は炭素数4~10の一価炭化水素基、R2は炭素数1~3の一価炭化水素基、0<a<1、0<b<3、0<c<2、0≦d<2且つ0<a+b+c+d<4)
で表されるシリコーンオリゴマー0.5~20質量部とを配合し、
前記ジエン系ゴムが、芳香族ビニル含有量が20~45質量%であり、共役ジエン中のビニル結合量が10~50%である芳香族ビニル-共役ジエン共重合体を、前記ジエン系ゴム100質量部中50質量部以上含むことを特徴とするタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物。 - 前記シロキサン平均式(1)において、0<a<1、0<b<2、0<c<1、0≦d<1であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物。
- 前記シリカの少なくとも一部が、N2SA100~300m2/gのシリカである請求項1または2に記載のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物。
- 前記シロキサン平均式(1)において、R1が下記有機基(2)、Xが下記有機基(3)であることを特徴とする請求項1~3のいずれかに記載のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物。

- 前記シリコーンオリゴマーの分子量が500~2000であることを特徴とする請求項1~5のいずれかに記載のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物。
- 前記N2SAが150~300m2/gである請求項3~6のいずれかに記載のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物。
- ポリスルフィド構造と加水分解性基とを有するシランをさらに含有する、請求項1~7のいずれかに記載のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物。
- 請求項1~8のいずれかに記載のタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物をタイヤトレッドに用いる空気入りタイヤ。
