Definitions
- the present invention relates to a vehicle collision detection device, and more particularly to a vehicle collision detection device using a case that houses an electrical device such as an inverter.
- Patent Document 1 discloses a configuration in which a conductor film that is electrically disconnected when the cover is deformed is stretched around the inner surface of the cover of the case that houses the inverter.
- the ECU detects the current value I flowing through the conductor film and determines whether or not the current value I is substantially zero. If it is substantially zero, it is determined that the inverter has received an impact, and the system main relay is turned off so as to cut off the power from the traveling battery. Further, the inverter is stopped so that the motor generator cannot be operated with the motor generator being in an inoperative state.
- the step of forming the conductor film as a dedicated product for deformation detection Is required separately. For this reason, when detecting an impact by detecting the deformation of the case, it is desirable to be able to detect the impact without increasing the number of processes or the number of dedicated parts. At the same time, since the impact can occur from any direction, it is also necessary to stop the operation of the high-pressure system by detecting the deformation of the case in any direction.

- the gasket is disposed on a flange of the case.
- the detection means is housed in the case.
- a reference voltage source for applying a reference voltage to the conductor is provided, the case is grounded, and the detection means is configured such that the voltage of the conductor is the ground voltage or the reference voltage. Detect collisions.
- the case has a grommet
- the conductor is set to have a relatively higher rigidity at the location where the grommet is present in the case as compared to the other.
- a collision from any direction can be detected. Further, according to the present invention, since the conductor is provided in the gasket of the case, an increase in the number of parts can be suppressed.

- the conductor is in a certain conductor state in the normal state (non-collision state), and when the conductor is deformed or disconnected due to a collision, the conductor changes to a conductive state different from the normal state. By detecting this change in conductor state, the deformation or disconnection of the conductor, and hence the occurrence of a collision, is detected.
- the conductive state of the conductor is current, voltage, resistance value, etc.
- it is normally maintained at a constant voltage of the conductor, and different from this when the conductor is deformed or disconnected. Change to voltage.
- the conductor is embedded in the gasket, and if the gasket is made of an insulating member such as rubber, the conductor is necessarily insulated from the case.

- the end of the metal plate 14 is connected to the control board 400 by the lead 18, and the conductive state of the metal plate 14, specifically, the voltage of the metal plate 14 is supplied to the MG-ECU 700 of the control board 400.
- the MG-ECU 700 including the microprocessor detects the presence or absence of a collision by detecting the voltage of the metal plate 14 and comparing it with a predetermined threshold value.
- the flange 11 of the case 10 is deformed by an impact caused by a collision
- the metal plate 14 is also deformed by the deformation of the flange 11 to cause contact or disconnection to the case 10.
- the control board 400 detects the presence or absence of a collision by detecting a voltage change of the metal plate 14 caused by such an impact caused by the collision.
- FIG. 4 is a layout view of the grommets 16 viewed from the direction B in FIG.

- the rubber gasket 12 and the rubber grommet 16 are brought into contact with each other, the rubber contacts with the rubber. Therefore, the surface pressure necessary for sealing may not be maintained.
- the metal plate 14 since the metal plate 14 is embedded in the gasket 12, the rigidity of the gasket 12 can be increased, and even if the gasket 12 and the grommet 16 are brought into contact with each other, a surface necessary for sealing. It becomes easy to secure the pressure. That is, the metal plate 14 in the present embodiment functions as a sensor for detecting a collision from all directions, and also has a function of improving the rigidity of the gasket 12 and ensuring the sealing performance.
- FIG. 5 shows a circuit diagram of the collision detection apparatus according to this embodiment.
- One end of the metal plate 14 arranged around the flange 11 of the case 10 is connected to the reference power source 420 via the voltage dividing resistor R, and the other end of the metal plate 14 is connected to the body ground via the voltage dividing resistor R.
- the control board 400 is connected to the connection node between the voltage dividing resistor R and the metal plate 14, and the voltage at this connection node is supplied to the control board 400.
- the control board 400 detects the occurrence of a collision based on the detected potential change, and outputs a command to turn on the relay of the rapid discharge circuit.
- the metal plate 14 may not be broken, and the gasket 12 may only be damaged. Also in this case, when the gasket 12 is damaged, the metal plate 14 is connected to the case 10 and the insulation state is broken, so that a body ground voltage (0 V) different from the normal voltage is supplied to the control board 400. Therefore, the control board 400 can similarly detect the occurrence of a collision.
- the degree of impact due to the collision is different, and it is possible to reliably detect the occurrence of the collision not only when the metal plate 14 is disconnected but also when the metal plate 14 is not disconnected. Reliability can be improved.
- the metal plate 14 has a flat plate shape and is configured to be easily disconnected when an impact of a predetermined value or more is applied.
- the metal plate 14 includes a portion 14a whose width is narrowed at a constant period and a portion 14b whose width is constant. Since the part 14a has a narrow constriction periodically, it is easy to break when an impact is applied.
- the portion 14b having a constant width can be arranged at a position where the grommet 16 is provided, for example, to increase the rigidity of the gasket 12 and ensure a constant surface pressure.
- the metal plate 14 is comprised from the site
- the part 14d that does not have a hole can be arranged at a position where the grommet 16 is provided, for example, to increase the rigidity of the gasket 12 and ensure a certain surface pressure.
- FIG. 8 shows a flowchart of the collision detection process in this embodiment.
- the MG-ECU 700 in the control board 400 (shown simply as “CPU” in the figure) acquires the voltage of the metal plate 14 (S101). Then, it is determined whether or not the acquired voltage value is a predetermined intermediate value, for example, 2.5 V as described above (S102). If the acquired voltage value is 2.5 V, it is determined that no collision has occurred, and the process of S101 is executed again.
- a predetermined intermediate value for example, 2.5 V as described above
- the acquired voltage value is not 2.5V, it is next determined whether the acquired voltage value is 0V or 5V. And when the acquired voltage value is 0V, it considers that the metal plate 14 in the gasket 12 contacted the case 10 by the collision (ground fault), and detected that the collision generate
- the MG-ECU 700 in the control board 400 When the occurrence of a collision is detected, the MG-ECU 700 in the control board 400 outputs a command to turn on the rapid discharge circuit relay (high voltage cutoff relay) (S104).
- the rapid discharge circuit relay high voltage cutoff relay
- the metal plate 14 is arranged around the flange 11 of the case 10, a collision from an arbitrary direction can be detected. Further, since the flange 11 of the case 10 receives an impact first at the time of a collision, the collision can be reliably and quickly detected by providing the flange 11 with the metal plate 14.
- the metal plate 14 is embedded in the gasket 12, and the metal plate 14 functioning as a collision detection sensor can be integrated with the gasket 12. Therefore, the number of parts is not increased unnecessarily. Not only can volume increase.
- the rigidity of the rubber gasket 12 can be increased, the contact pressure with the grommet 16 can be ensured, and the sealing performance can be maintained.
- the case 10 is mounted below the engine room or the rear floor of the vehicle as described above.
- the flange 11 may be arranged in a horizontal plane or arranged in a vertical plane. May be.
- the case 10 is mounted in the engine room, the case 10 is disposed in the vicinity of the radiator support, and the radiator support is displaced by the impact caused by the collision to come into contact with the flange 11 of the case 10.
- the metal plate 14 is used as a conductor, but the present invention is not limited to this, and any conductive material can be used.
- the occurrence of a collision is detected by detecting the voltage of the metal plate 14, but a current or a resistance value may be used instead of the voltage.
- the collision may be detected using the change in the conductive state of the conductor in the gasket 12 due to the collision.
- the metal plate 14 is provided in the gasket 12 so as to surround the entire circumference of the case 10, but it is provided in the gasket 12 so as to surround a half circumference of the case 10 or a part of the case 10. Also good.
