Abstract
安全な高分子乳化剤を用いて、皮膚に適用した際にみずみずしい使用感を持つ安定した水中油型乳化組成物であって、種々の油分の配合が可能であり、なおかつ耐水性があり、皮膚への刺激も少ない水中油型乳化組成物を提供することを目的とする。本発明は、カチオン性ポリマーとカルボキシメチルセルロースとから形成されるポリイオンコンプレックスにより乳化された水中油型乳化組成物であって、前記カチオン性ポリマーのカチオン化度とカルボキシメチルセルロースのエーテル化度との比が、1/3~3/1の範囲内にあることを特徴とする水中油型乳化組成物を提供する。
Description
本発明は、高分子乳化剤を用いて安定化され、耐水性に優れ、なおかつ皮膚への刺激が少ない水中油型乳化組成物、及びそれを用いた化粧料に関する。
化粧料の分野に限らず、乳化技術に関する数多くの研究がなされており、様々な系で安定なエマルションが得られている。しかしながら、化粧料分野で使用されている従来の乳化物の多くはポリオキシエチレン鎖を有する非イオン性界面活性剤、脂肪酸石鹸に代表されるアニオン性界面活性剤、あるいはイミダゾリン系やベタイン系の両性界面活性剤を乳化剤として使用するものであり、これら従来の低分子乳化剤を化粧料に配合することに関して、その安全性に不安を抱く一般消費者が存在することも事実である。
近年、安全性が高いとされる水溶性高分子を乳化剤として使用する化粧料が提案されているが、水溶性高分子は従来の低分子乳化剤に比較して乳化力が小さいため、安定した乳化物を得るためには何らかの工夫が必要である。
例えば、特許文献1及び2には、油溶性セルロースを含む油相と、カチオン性セルロース及びアニオン性のヒアルロン酸からなるポリイオンコンプレックスを含む水相とを配合した油中水型乳化組成物が、乳化安定性、安全性及び使用例に優れる旨が記載されている。
このような油中水型乳化組成物は外相が油性であるため、汗や水に対する耐久性や皮脂に対する耐久性が求められる従来の日焼け止め化粧料などとして用いられるが、油中水型乳化物は元来、油分によるべたつきといった使用感触の問題、保湿効果などのスキンケア効果に劣るといった問題を有していた。
このような油中水型乳化組成物は外相が油性であるため、汗や水に対する耐久性や皮脂に対する耐久性が求められる従来の日焼け止め化粧料などとして用いられるが、油中水型乳化物は元来、油分によるべたつきといった使用感触の問題、保湿効果などのスキンケア効果に劣るといった問題を有していた。
特許文献3には、キチン、キトサン誘導体等のカチオン性高分子乳化剤を使用した水中油型乳化組成物が記載され、その油相に紫外線防止剤を配合した日焼け止め化粧料が耐水性や使用感、保湿効果に優れる旨が記載されている。さらに、両性又はアニオン性ポリマーを加えて複合化することにより安定性が向上するとの記載もある。しかし、使用されているキチン、キトサン誘導体は、皮膚への親和性、付着性が良好であり、皮膚の角質等に結合する性質を有するため、皮膚に対する刺激性を示す場合があると考えられる。また、その乳化力が高くないため、多量の油分を配合することは困難である。
特許文献4には、カチオン性ポリマーを含む油相を、アニオン性ポリマーを含む水相に分散させた水中油型乳化組成物が記載され、油相と水相の界面においてポリイオンコンプレックスが形成され、従来の低分子乳化剤を含まなくても乳化安定性に優れるとの記載がある。しかしながら、油性のカチオン性ポリマー(変性シリコーン)を配合するため、使用できる油分の種類が限られてしまい、油分との組み合わせによっては安定な乳化物が得られない場合がある。
よって本発明における課題は、安全な高分子乳化剤を用いて、皮膚に適用した際にみずみずしい使用感を持つ安定した水中油型乳化組成物であって、なおかつ耐水性があり、皮膚への刺激も少ない水中油型乳化組成物を提供することにある。
本発明者等は、前記の課題を解決すべく鋭意研究を重ねた結果、特定の組み合わせのカチオン性ポリマーとアニオン性ポリマーとから形成されるポリイオンコンプレックスを乳化剤とすることにより安定な水中油型乳化組成物が得られ、種々の油分を配合することができ、かつ得られた水中油型乳化物が優れた耐水性を示すことを見出し、本発明を完成するに至った。
即ち本発明は、カチオン性ポリマーと、アニオン性ポリマー、特にカルボキシメチルセルロースとから形成されるポリイオンコンプレックスにより乳化された水中油型乳化組成物であって、前記カチオン性ポリマーのカチオン化度とカルボキシメチルセルロースのエーテル化度の比が、1/3~3/1の範囲内にあることを特徴とする水中油型乳化組成物を提供する。

本発明に係る組成物は、カチオン性ポリマーとカルボキシメチルセルロースとから形成されるポリイオンコンプレックスによって乳化された安定な水中油型乳化物であり、皮膚に適用した際にみずみずしく良好な使用感触を得ることができる。しかも、従来の界面活性剤を使用した水中油型乳化組成物に比較して耐水性に優れ、皮膚への刺激も少ない。
本発明の水中油型乳化組成物は、カチオン性ポリマーとカルボキシメチルセルロースとから形成されるポリイオンコンプレックスによって乳化され、当該カチオン性ポリマーのカチオン化度とカルボキシメチルセルロースのエーテル化度の比が1/3~3/1、好ましくは1/2~2/1の範囲内にある。カチオン化度とエーテル化度の比が前記の範囲から外れると、乳化物の安定性が不十分になり、皮膚に適用した際ののびが悪く、べたつきを生じる傾向がある。
本明細書における「カチオン化度」とは、各ポリマーを構成するモノマー1個当たりに存在するカチオン性解離基の個数の平均値を意味する。例えば、重合度nのカチオン性ポリマーが、1分子中にm個のカチオン性解離基を有する場合、そのカチオン性ポリマーのカチオン化度はm/nで表される。
一方、本明細書における「エーテル化度」とは、セルロースを構成する単位糖骨格(無水グルコース単位)中に存在するアニオン性解離基(カルボキシメチル基)数の平均値を意味する。
一方、本明細書における「エーテル化度」とは、セルロースを構成する単位糖骨格(無水グルコース単位)中に存在するアニオン性解離基(カルボキシメチル基)数の平均値を意味する。
本発明の水中油型乳化組成物は、概略次の工程に従って調製することができる。
(1)一部の水にいずれか一方のイオン性(カチオン性またはアニオン性)ポリマーを溶解させる。
(2)(1)に油性成分を添加し、分散、乳化させる。
(3)他の一部の水に他方のイオン性(アニオン性またはカチオン性)ポリマーを溶解させ、それを(2)に添加して、更に攪拌力を加えて乳化させる。
(4)残りの水性成分を添加し、攪拌することによって目的とする水中油型乳化組成物を得る。
(1)一部の水にいずれか一方のイオン性(カチオン性またはアニオン性)ポリマーを溶解させる。
(2)(1)に油性成分を添加し、分散、乳化させる。
(3)他の一部の水に他方のイオン性(アニオン性またはカチオン性)ポリマーを溶解させ、それを(2)に添加して、更に攪拌力を加えて乳化させる。
(4)残りの水性成分を添加し、攪拌することによって目的とする水中油型乳化組成物を得る。
即ち、本発明で使用するカチオン性ポリマー及びアニオン性ポリマーは、いずれも水溶性である必要がある。一方(好ましくはアニオン性ポリマー)を乳化剤として、連続相(水相)中に分散相(油相)が分散され、そこに添加された他方(好ましくはカチオン性ポリマー)が水相と油相との界面において、イオンコンプレックスを形成して乳化物を安定化すると考えられる。
本発明で使用するカチオン性ポリマーは、分子内にカチオン性基を有する水溶性ポリマーであれば特に限定されないが、例えば、塩化O-[2-ヒドロキシ-3-(トリメチルアンモニオ)プロピル]基を有するヒドロキシエチルセルロース(ポリクオタニウム-10)が好ましく使用される。
例えば、東邦化学工業製のカチナールHC-100(分子量350,000;カチオン化度0.30~0.40)、カチナールHC-200(分子量1,600,000;カチオン化度0.30~0.40)、カチナールLC-100(分子量350,000;カチオン化度0.15~0.25)、カチナールLC-200(分子量2,000,000;カチオン化度0.15~0.25)、カチナールPC-100(分子量1,200,000;カチオン化度0.20~0.35)、カチナールHC-35(分子量120,000;カチオン化度0.30~0.40)及びAmerchol社製のポリマーJR等の市販品を使用することができる。中でも、分子量2,000,000以下のものが好ましい。
例えば、東邦化学工業製のカチナールHC-100(分子量350,000;カチオン化度0.30~0.40)、カチナールHC-200(分子量1,600,000;カチオン化度0.30~0.40)、カチナールLC-100(分子量350,000;カチオン化度0.15~0.25)、カチナールLC-200(分子量2,000,000;カチオン化度0.15~0.25)、カチナールPC-100(分子量1,200,000;カチオン化度0.20~0.35)、カチナールHC-35(分子量120,000;カチオン化度0.30~0.40)及びAmerchol社製のポリマーJR等の市販品を使用することができる。中でも、分子量2,000,000以下のものが好ましい。
また、他のカチオン性ポリマーとしては、大阪有機化学社製のHCポリマーシリーズ(ビニルピロリドン-ジメチルアミノメチルエチルメタクリレート共重合体ジエチル硫酸塩(ポリクオタニウム-11)、分子量140,000~200,000;カチオン化度0.5)、BASF社製の塩化メチルビニルイミダゾリウム・ビニルピロリドン共重合体であるルビカットFC370(分子量40,000;カチオン化度0.2)、ルビカットFC550(分子量80,000;カチオン化度0.5)、ルビカットFC905(分子量100,000;カチオン化度0.95)、ルビカットHM552(分子量400,000;カチオン化度0.5)などが挙げられる。
本発明で使用するカルボキシメチルセルロースとしては、従来から化粧料などに使用されているものを用いることができる。例えば、第一工業製薬製のセロゲンF-SH(エーテル化度0.60~0.70)、セロゲン-F(エーテル化度0.60~0.70)、セロゲン-3H(エーテル化度0.55~0.65)、セロゲンF-5A(エーテル化度0.70~0.80)、セロゲン-7A(エーテル化度0.70~0.80)、セロゲン-F907A(エーテル化度0.90~0.95)、セロゲンF-SL(エーテル化度0.80~0.95)、セロゲン-8A(エーテル化度0.70~0.80)、セロゲン-810A(エーテル化度0.75~0.85)、セロゲン815A(エーテル化度0.80~0.90)、セロゲン-PR(エーテル化度0.60~0.70)、セロゲン-F-SB(エーテル化度0.85~0.95)、セロゲンF-930A(エーテル化度0.85~0.95)、セロゲン-SA(エーテル化度0.70~0.80)、セロゲン-AG(エーテル化度0.85~0.95)、セロゲンAGS(エーテル化度0.90~0.95)、セロゲン-820B(エーテル化度0.80~0.95)、セロゲン-4H(エーテル化度0.55~0.65)、セロゲンBSH(エーテル化度0.70~0.80)、セロゲン-BSH-3(エーテル化度0.65~0.75)、セロゲン-BSH-4(エーテル化度0.65~0.75)、セロゲン-BSH-5(エーテル化度0.65~0.75)、セロゲン-BSH-6(エーテル化度0.65~0.75)、セロゲン-BSH-12(エーテル化度0.65~0.75)、セロゲン-815C(エーテル化度0.80~0.90)、セロゲン-6HS9(エーテル化度0.80~0.90)等の市販品を使用することができる。中でも、分子量2,000,000以下のものが好ましい。
本発明で用いられるカチオン性ポリマーの配合量は、通常は0.05~20質量%、好ましくは0.1~10質量%であり、カルボキシメチルセルロースの配合量も同様に、通常は0.05~20質量%、好ましくは0.1~10質量%である。
本発明においては、前記範囲のカチオン化度/エーテル化度比のカチオン性ポリマーとカルボキシメチルセルロースの組み合わせを適宜選択し、上記の範囲内で配合することにより安定な乳化物が得られるが、好ましくは、形成されるポリイオンコンプレックスにおいて、アニオン電荷が過剰となるように調整すると、乳化安定性及び皮膚に適用した場合のみずみずしさといった使用性が更に向上するので好ましい。ポリイオンコンプレックスにおける電荷は、選択したポリマーのカチオン化度及びエーテル化度に基づいて各ポリマーの配合比を変えることによって調整できる。
本発明においては、前記範囲のカチオン化度/エーテル化度比のカチオン性ポリマーとカルボキシメチルセルロースの組み合わせを適宜選択し、上記の範囲内で配合することにより安定な乳化物が得られるが、好ましくは、形成されるポリイオンコンプレックスにおいて、アニオン電荷が過剰となるように調整すると、乳化安定性及び皮膚に適用した場合のみずみずしさといった使用性が更に向上するので好ましい。ポリイオンコンプレックスにおける電荷は、選択したポリマーのカチオン化度及びエーテル化度に基づいて各ポリマーの配合比を変えることによって調整できる。
また、配合するカチオン性ポリマーとカルボキシメチルセルロースの合計量は、0.05から20質量%とするのが好ましく、より好ましくは0.1~10質量%とする。合計量が0.05質量%より少ないと、乳化物の安定性が悪くなる場合があり、20質量%を越えて配合すると、のびのよさ等の使用感触が劣化する場合がある。
本発明の水中油型乳化組成物は、水中油型乳化物であることに由来する特徴、即ち、皮膚に塗布した際にみずみずしい感触を与え、塗布時及び塗布後にべたつきを生じないという性質を具備している。さらに、特定の組み合わせのカチオン性ポリマー及びカルボキシメチルセルロースからなるイオンコンプレックスを乳化剤として使用しているため、従来の低分子乳化剤を配合しなくても極めて安定である。従って、本発明の組成物は、親水性界面活性剤を含む従来の低分子乳化剤を含まなくてもよく、含んでいるとしても、その量は少量、例えば0.1質量%以下であってよい。
また、本発明の水中油型乳化組成物は、皮膚などに塗布した場合の耐水性に優れている。従って、従来は耐水性を確保するために油中水型乳化物を用いていたスキンケア用化粧料、例えば日焼け止め化粧料とするのに特に適している。
よって、本発明は、本発明の水中油型乳化組成物を含むスキンケア化粧料、例えば日焼け止め化粧料を提供する。

本発明の化粧料は、スキンケア製品に通常配合される種々の成分を含有していてもよい。例えば日焼け止め化粧料とする場合には、紫外線吸収剤などが適宜配合される。
以下に具体例を挙げて本発明を更に詳細に説明するが、本発明は以下の実施例に限定されるものではない。また、以下の実施例等における配合量は特に断らない限り質量%を示す。
本発明の水中油型乳化組成物(実施例)及び比較例の組成物を調製し、各組成物の安定性、のびのよさ、べたつきのなさ、及び耐水性の各項目について評価した。各項目の評価は以下のようにして実施した。

カチオン化度/エーテル化度の比が約0.54のポリマーの組み合わせを使用した実施例1-1は、安定性が良好で、みずみずしさ、のびのよさ、べたつきのなさといった使用性及び耐水性において極めて優れていた。一方、アクリル系ポリマー(比較例1-2)又は非イオン性界面活性剤(比較例1-2)によって得られた乳化物である試料は、特に使用性及び耐水性に劣るものであった。
カチオン化度0.30~0.40のカチオン性ポリマーと、エーテル化度0.60~0.70のカルボキシメチルセルロースとの組み合わせにおいては、両者の配合比(カチオン化度/エーテル化度)を約7/3とした場合に、計算上カチオン電荷とアニオン電荷が等しくなる。この点を等電点と呼ぶことにすると、等電点よりアニオン電荷が過剰となる実施例2-2~2-4の試料は、安定性及び使用性が極めて優れていた。等電点よりカチオンが過剰となる実施例2-1では、アニオン過剰の場合に比較して安定性が若干劣っていた。カチオン性又はアニオン性のポリマーのいずれか一方しか含まない比較例2-1及び2-2は、全ての項目について不十分な結果しか示さなかった。
カチオン化度/エーテル化度の比が約0.4になる組み合わせのポリマーを用いた実施例3-1は、安定性、使用性において優れていたが、カチオン化度/エーテル化度の比が約0.2となる組み合わせを用いた比較例3-1は、全ての項目において実施例より劣る結果を示した。
カチオン性ポリマーとカルボキシメチルセルロースの組み合わせ(カチオン化度/エーテル化度の比:約0.54)及びそれらの配合比率を一定にし、両ポリマーの合計配合量を変化させた場合、合計量が0.05質量%である実施例4-1は、他の実施例に比較して安定性が若干劣っていた。また、合計量を20質量%とした実施例4-7は、使用感触においてやや劣っていた。

(4)キサンタンガム水溶液、カルボキシビニルポリマー水溶液他の成分を添加し、攪拌することによって目的とする水中油型組成物を得た。

製造方法:
(1)一部の水にカルボキシメチルセルロースを溶解させる。
(2)(1)に紫外線吸収剤を含む油分を添加し、ホモミキサーにて分散、乳化させる。
(3)別の一部の水に溶解させた塩化O-[2-ヒドロキシ-3-(トリメチルアンモニオ)プロピル]ヒドロキシエチルセルロース水溶液を(2)に添加し、さらに1分以上ホモミキサーにて攪拌力を加え、乳化させた。
(4)サクシノグリカン水溶液他の成分を添加し、攪拌することによって目的とする水中油型組成物を得た。
(1)一部の水にカルボキシメチルセルロースを溶解させる。
(2)(1)に紫外線吸収剤を含む油分を添加し、ホモミキサーにて分散、乳化させる。
(3)別の一部の水に溶解させた塩化O-[2-ヒドロキシ-3-(トリメチルアンモニオ)プロピル]ヒドロキシエチルセルロース水溶液を(2)に添加し、さらに1分以上ホモミキサーにて攪拌力を加え、乳化させた。
(4)サクシノグリカン水溶液他の成分を添加し、攪拌することによって目的とする水中油型組成物を得た。

製造方法:
(1)一部の水にカルボキシメチルセルロースを溶解させる。

(3)別の一部の水に溶解させた塩化メチルビニルイミダゾリウム・ビニルピロリドン共重合体水溶液を(2)に添加し、さらに1分以上ホモミキサーにて攪拌力を加え、乳化させた。
(4)キサンタンガム水溶液、カルボキシビニルポリマー水溶液他の成分を添加し、攪拌することによって目的とする水中油型組成物を得た。
(1)一部の水にカルボキシメチルセルロースを溶解させる。
(2)(1)に紫外線吸収剤を含む油分を添加し、ホモミキサーにて分散、乳化させる。
(3)別の一部の水に溶解させた塩化メチルビニルイミダゾリウム・ビニルピロリドン共重合体水溶液を(2)に添加し、さらに1分以上ホモミキサーにて攪拌力を加え、乳化させた。
(4)キサンタンガム水溶液、カルボキシビニルポリマー水溶液他の成分を添加し、攪拌することによって目的とする水中油型組成物を得た。
Claims (5)
- カチオン性ポリマーとカルボキシメチルセルロースとから形成されるポリイオンコンプレックスにより乳化された水中油型乳化組成物であって、前記カチオン性ポリマーのカチオン化度とカルボキシメチルセルロースのエーテル化度との比が1/3~3/1の範囲内にあることを特徴とする水中油型乳化組成物。
- 前記カチオン性ポリマーが塩化O-[2-ヒドロキシ-3-(トリメチルアンモニオ)プロピル]ヒドロキシエチルセルロースであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリイオンコンプレックスが、アニオン電荷過剰のものであることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の組成物。
- カチオン性ポリマーとカルボキシメチルセルロースの合計配合量が、0.05~20質量%であることを特徴とする、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- (1)一部の水にカチオン性ポリマー又はカルボキシメチルセルロースのいずれか一方を溶解させる工程、
(2)(1)に油性成分を添加して分散、乳化させる工程、
(3)他の一部の水にカチオン性ポリマー又はカルボキシメチルセルロースの他方のポリマーを溶解させ、それを(2)に添加して更に攪拌力を加えて乳化させる工程、及び、
(4)残りの水性成分を添加し、攪拌することによって目的とする水中油型乳化組成物を得る工程を含む、請求項1に記載の水中油型乳化組成物の製造方法。
