Abstract

La présente invention concerne un boggie à largeur variable comprenant des essieux tournants et une installation fixe pour changer la largeur de voie. Le boggie comprend: une plateforme-support pour un wagon de chemin de fer; au moins un essieu tournant (2) qui comporte au niveau de ses zones extérieures, des pièces formant support (10) pour les ressorts de suspension (11) de ladite plateforme qui renferment à l'intérieur des roulements (12) sur lesquels sont montées deux roues (1) au moyen d'un dispositif d'accouplement qui permet leur déplacement latéral et qui maintient assemblés des guides de verrouillage (18) au moyen desquels est commandé ledit déplacement latéral pour que les roues se situent dans les positions correspondant aux deux largeurs de voie; et un dispositif d'adaptation à la largeur de voie logé dans lesdites pièces formant support (10) qui est basé sur la coopération desdits guides de verrouillage (18) et d'un verrou (22) déplaçable verticalement lorsqu'il est actionné par des guides de blocage/déblocage (24) prévus dans une installation fixe pour effectuer le changement de largeur de voie.
