L'invention concerne un dispositif d'éclairage pour un instrument à cordes présentant un trou acoustique (6), notamment pour une guitare, avec au moins un moyen d'éclairage (13 ; 34) pouvant être disposé sur un corps d'instrument (2), sachant que le corps entoure une cavité de corps (20) pour former une caisse de résonance et qu'au moins un trou acoustique (6) est formé dans une paroi du corps. Selon l'invention, le ou les moyens d'éclairage (13 ; 34) sont, dans l'état monté, fixés dans la région du trou acoustique (6) de telle sorte que le ou les moyens d'éclairage (13) éclairent et/ou illuminent au moins en partie la région du trou acoustique.
