Abstract

　ＰＥアレイを用いる動き探索において、画面外画素の格納用のメモリを増やすことなく、バンク競合を回避して高速な演算を可能にする技術が提供される。メモリ３（参照画像メモリ３０）から読み出す複数ラインの画素データが同一バンクにある場合に、競合バンク先行読み出し制御部１０が、一方のラインの画素データを先行して読み出し、読み込みデータ保持回路２０がそのデータをＰＥアレイ部４への入力タイミングまで保持しておく。これによって、メモリ３からの画素データの読み出し時におけるバンク競合を避け、ＰＥアレイ部４による円滑なパイプライン処理を実現する。
