Abstract

【課題】ゾルゲル法によるGRINレンズの製造において、線引き時の発泡を防止すると共に、線引きオペレートを容易にして歩留まりを向上させる。 【解決手段】ケイ素のアルコキシド、ドーパントのアルコキシド及びアルミニウムのアルコキシドを主成分とするアルコール溶液からウェットゲルを作製するステップと、リーチングにより前記ウェットゲル外周面からドーパント及びアルミニウムを溶出させて屈折率分布を付与するステップと、前記ウェットゲルを乾燥させてドライゲルを作製するステップと、前記ドライゲルを焼成して母材を形成するステップと、前記母材を線引きするステップを有する。リーチングのステップにおいて、殆どのアルミニウムがウェットゲルから溶出し、ドライゲルが気孔率の大きなものとなり、焼結時の割れ、線引き時の発泡が防止される。
