Abstract

 エンジンオイルの劣化および酸化防止性能を安価にかつ精度良く推定でき、それにより、エンジンオイルの劣化および交換時期を適切に判定できるエンジンオイルの劣化推定装置および酸化防止性能の推定装置を提供する。  このエンジンオイルの劣化推定装置は、ECU2を備える。ECU2は、エンジンオイルの酸化防止性能OITおよび清浄維持性能TBNを推定するとともに、推定した酸化防止性能OITおよび清浄維持性能TBNに基づいて、エンジンオイルの劣化を推定する。酸化防止性能の推定装置もまた、ECU2を備える。このECU2は、エンジンオイル中の燃料の濃度[FUEL]を取得するとともに、取得した燃料濃度[FUEL]に基づいて、エンジンオイルの酸化防止性能OITを推定する。
