Abstract

 本発明は、樹脂以外の添加剤を5質量%以上含む光学フィルムの材料に対しても、安価で十分なロール清掃効果があり、特に、液晶表示装置等に用いられる偏光板用保護フィルム、位相差フィルムなどの各種機能フィルムにも利用することができる平面性の高い光学フィルム、及びその製造方法を提供する。樹脂と、樹脂以外の添加剤5質量%以上を含有する樹脂混合物の溶融物を流延ダイからフィルム状に押し出す溶融流延製膜法による光学フィルムの製造方法であって、冷却用第1回転体5の温度を、前記樹脂混合物のガラス転移温度(Tg)以下、添加剤の融点以上とする。冷却用第1回転体5の周速度(S1)と冷却用第3回転体7の周速度(S3)の比(S3/S1)を、1.001~1.05とするのが、好ましい。押圧用第2回転体6により、0.5~50N/mmの線圧で、冷却用第1回転体5に対してフィルム状溶融混合物を押圧するのが、好ましい。
