Abstract

 レーザ光源(1)~(3)から出射した赤色、緑色、青色のレーザ光は、コリメートレンズ(4)~(6)によって略平行ビームとなり、マイクロレンズアレイ(7)~(9)によって集光されて、ロッドインテグレータ(10)~(12)で均一化された後で、空間光変調素子(16)~(18)を照明し変調を受ける。空間光変調素子(16)~(18)から出射した各変調レーザ光は、光合成プリズム(19)によって合成され、複屈折板回転駆動部(26)によって回転駆動される複屈折板(20)によって画素分離された後で、投射光学系(21)によってスクリーン(22)へと投射される。複屈折板(20)は、複屈折により変調レーザ光を空間的に分離する。複屈折板によって画素が空間的に分離されることにより画素格子の領域が減少し、スクリーン上の輝度分布が均一化されて、スペックルノイズが低減される。
