Abstract

　サイプ内に吸い上げることができる水分量を更に増大させることにより氷上における制動性能を向上させた空気入りタイヤを提供することを課題とする。 　本発明に係る空気入りタイヤでは、周方向溝と横溝とによって区画された複数のブロック（２６）がトレッド部に形成されている。ブロック（２６）にはサイプ（２８）が形成され、サイプ（２８）の壁面には、サイプ幅ｔの１／５０以上１／１０未満の範囲内の高さを基調とした微細構造部（３２）が形成されている。これにより、サイプ壁面に対する水の流体摩擦係数が従来よりも低減しているので、氷上などに滞留している水がサイプ壁面に触れると、水がサイプ内に吸い上げられ易い。従って、サイプ（２８）内に吸い上げることができる水分量、すなわち氷上などに滞留している水の除去量を増大させることにより氷上における制動性能（摩擦特性）を向上させることができる。
