 雪上および氷上での性能に加えて、耐ハイドロプレーニング性およびスラッシュスノー性能にも優れた空気入りタイヤを提供する。タイヤのトレッド踏面を、該トレッドの周方向に延びる複数本の周方向溝と、該トレッドの幅方向に延びる複数本の幅方向溝とによって、複数の陸部に区画した空気入りタイヤにおいて、前記周方向溝は、1本の広幅の周方向主溝と複数本の狭幅の周方向副溝とからなり、該周方向副溝の幅は周方向主溝の幅の60%以下であり、かつ周方向副溝の幅の合計が周方向主溝の幅未満とする。
