Abstract

 本発明によれば、見かけ比重が大きく取り扱い性が良好であることに加え、製造時および取り扱い時に臭気の発生がほとんどない、ポリビニルブチラール樹脂ペレットが提供される。本発明は、水分含有量が0.01~6重量%のポリビニルブチラール樹脂粉体を、少なくとも1ヶ所の減圧手段を備えた脱揮用のベント部を有する溶融押出し機を用いて溶融する工程、およびポリビニルブチラール樹脂の溶融物を、前記溶融押出し機より押出した後切断する工程を含むポリビニルブチラール樹脂ペレットの製造方法である。本発明はまた、ブチルアルデヒドおよび2-エチル-2-ヘキセナールの合計含有量が、100ppm以下であるポリビニルブチラール樹脂ペレットである。
