Abstract

 本発明は、残留触媒のない金属フリーなポリエステル樹脂を製造でき、製造上のユーティリティー効率が良く、かつ副生成物が検出限界以下となる極めてポリエステル化選択率の高い触媒であり、単離、回収、再利用が可能であるポリエステル製造用触媒、すなわち、金属酸化物からなる担体(A)に金属酸化物(B)を担持させて得られる固体酸触媒において、前記金属酸化物からなる担体(A)がジルコニアで、前記金属酸化物(B)がモリブデン酸化物であり、ハメットの酸度関数(H0)が、-3~-9であることを特徴とするポリエステル製造用固体酸触媒、その製造方法及びそれを用いたポリエステルの製造方法に関する。
