Abstract

　ミリ波撮像装置は、被写体から放射されるミリ波を透過させて後方の所定位置にミリ波からなる被写体像を結像させるレンズアンテナと、該レンズアンテナによる被写体像の結像位置付近に配置され、回転軸周りで多面体を形成する側壁が、前記被写体像を形成しているミリ波を反射する鏡面として形成されたポリゴンミラーと、該ポリゴンミラーの鏡面にて反射されたミリ波を受信して、その信号レベルを検出する受信部と、該ポリゴンミラーを前記回転中心軸周りに回転させると共に、該回転中心軸に直交する軸周りに回動させることで、被写体像各位置のミリ波を前記受信部へ反射させる走査手段と、該走査手段を介して前記ポリゴンミラーを駆動しつつ前記受信部から検出信号を取り込むことで、前記被写体像を表す画像データを生成する画像データ生成手段とを備えている。
