Abstract

L'invention concerne une composition de résine thermoplastique ignifuge qui maintient d'excellentes propriétés ignifuges sans contenir d'halogène et qui ne présente pas les problèmes des compositions de résines thermoplastiques ignifuges non halogénées classiques. Cette composition de résine thermoplastique ignifuge est flexible et hautement résistante à la chaleur, tout en présentant une bonne maniabilité terminale, une résistance au blanchissement par éraflure, une résistance mécanique, une aptitude au moulage et une excellente résistance à la décoloration. L'invention concerne spécifiquement une composition de résine thermoplastique ignifuge qui est obtenue en mélangeant de 50 à 300 parties en poids d'un hydroxyde métallique (Y) pour 100 parties en poids d'une composition de résine thermoplastique (X) contenant de 25 à 90 % en poids d'une résine de polyéthylène (a), de 1 à 20 % en poids d'une résine de polypropylène (b), de 5 à 39 % en poids d'un élastomère thermoplastique de styrène (c) et de 4 à 40 % en poids d'un plastifiant caoutchoutique à base d'huile minérale (d). Cette composition de résine thermoplastique ignifuge est caractérisée en ce qu'au moins une partie de la résine de polyéthylène (a) est composée d'un copolymère éthylène-acétate de vinyle (EVA) et en ce que la teneur en copolymère éthylène-acétate de vinyle est de 40 à 80 % en poids par rapport à 100 % en poids de la composition de résine thermoplastique (X).
