Abstract

本発明は、含フッ素ポリマーから低分子量体を効率良く除去することができる含フッ素ポリマー精製方法、不純物が少ない含フッ素ポリマーを得る為の含フッ素ポリマー製造方法、及び、成形加工性等に優れた含フッ素エラストマーを提供する。 本発明は、抽出により含フッ素単量体重合生成物から含フッ素ポリマーを精製することよりなる含フッ素ポリマー精製方法であって、上記含フッ素ポリマーは、主鎖を構成する炭素原子に直接結合しているフッ素原子又はパーフルオロアルキル基を少なくとも1個有するものであり、上記抽出における抽出溶媒は、上記抽出溶媒の臨界温度以上、130°C未満の温度であり、且つ、臨界圧力以上の圧力下にあることを特徴とする含フッ素ポリマー精製方法である。

技術分野
[0001] 本発明は、含フッ素ポリマー精製方法、含フッ素ポリマー製造方法及び含フッ素エラ ストマーに関する。 背景技術
[0002] 含フッ素単量体を重合して得られる含フッ素単量体重合生成物は、通常、含フッ素 ポリマーの他に、副生した低分子量体を含む。低分子量体が多く混入していると、得 られる成形品の機械的強度が低下する問題がある。例えば、含フッ素エラストマ一は 、混入した低分子量体が加硫反応に寄与しない可能性が高いため、低分子量体の 含有率が高ければ、得られる成形品の耐圧縮永久歪み性ゃ耐溶剤性が悪化してし まう問題がある。
[0003] 混入した低分子量体を低減する方法としては、テトラフルォロエチレン共重合体をフ ッ素系溶媒で抽出する方法が知られている(例えば、特許文献 1参照。)。しかしなが ら、この方法では、テトラフルォロエチレン共重合体が、ゴム、又は、溶融加工性樹脂 等の有機溶剤に可溶な樹脂の場合、通常、低分子量物のみを選択的に低減するこ とができない。
[0004] フッ素系樹脂の精製方法として、超臨界流体を浸漬又は循環させる方法が知られて いる(例えば、特許文献 2参照。)。し力 ながら、この方法による精製は、超臨界流体 を高温にて接触させるものであり、フッ素系樹脂が劣化し得る問題がある他、溶媒の 密度が非常に低い条件であり、溶解性が低いことを考えると、溶媒による抽出というよ りも脱揮させて低減するものと考えられる。この方法では脱揮物の回収'処理が煩雑 という問題があり、また、高温にするためのエネルギーとコストがかかる問題がある。
[0005] 超臨界抽出としては、フッ素ゴムからなる Oリング状芯材に対し、二酸化炭素、トリフ ルォロメタン等の超臨界流体による抽出が提案されている(例えば、特許文献 3参照 。)。し力、しながら、この方法の処理対象は、〇リング状芯材、即ち、成形品であり、一 度、樹脂を溶融させ、樹脂密度を上げることより、樹脂内部における低分子量物の拡 散抵抗が上がり、除去効率が下がるために充分に精製されない問題がある。また、超 臨界流体は、樹脂に溶解することで樹脂は膨潤するが、脱圧時に樹脂成形体が発 泡することで、成形品に傷が付くこともあり、最終処理としては適していない。

発明が解決しょうとする課題

[0007] 本発明は、抽出により含フッ素単量体重合生成物から含フッ素ポリマーを精製するこ とよりなる含フッ素ポリマー精製方法であって、上記含フッ素ポリマーは、主鎖を構成 する炭素原子に直接結合しているフッ素原子又はパーフルォロアルキル基を少なく とも 1個有するものであり、上記抽出における抽出溶媒は、上記抽出溶媒の臨界温度 以上、 130°C未満の温度であり、且つ、臨界圧力以上の圧力下にあることを特徴とす る含フッ素ポリマー精製方法である。
[0008] 本発明は、含フッ素単量体重合生成物に精製処理を施して含フッ素ポリマーを製造 することよりなる含フッ素ポリマー製造方法であって、上記精製処理は、上記含フッ素 ポリマー精製方法により行うことを特徴とする含フッ素ポリマー製造方法である。
[0009] 本発明は、ゲルパーミエーシヨンクロマトグラフィーにより測定した数平均分子量〔Mn 〕と重量平均分子量〔Mw〕との比〔MwZMn〕で表される分子量分布が 1. 16以上、 1. 87未満であることを特徴とする含フッ素エラストマ一である。
以下に本発明を詳細に説明する。
[0010] 本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法は、抽出により含フッ素単量体重合生成物から 含フッ素ポリマーを精製することよりなるものである。
[0011] 本明細書において、「含フッ素単量体重合生成物」は、含フッ素単量体を重合して含 フッ素ポリマーを得る重合反応による生成物を意味する。
上記含フッ素単量体重合生成物は、乳化重合等の重合方法にもよるが、(1)水性デ イスパージヨン、エマルシヨン等の液状体、(2)水性デイスパージヨンを凝析して得ら れる塊状物(クラム(cramb)ともレ、う。)又は湿潤粉末、 (3)湿潤粉末を乾燥して得ら れる乾燥粉末等の何れの形態であってもよい。上記含フッ素単量体重合生成物は、 精製効率が良い点で、また、品質の面でこれらの成形前のものであることが好ましレヽ 上記含フッ素単量体重合生成物は、含フッ素ポリマーを含むものである。上記含フッ 素単量体重合生成物は、例えば、上記(2)塊状物又は湿潤粉末を水を用いて洗浄 する工程、及び Z又は、加熱により乾燥する工程を経たものであってもよいが、これら の後工程を経たものであっても、通常、重合反応において副次的に生成した低分子 量体 (以下、単に「低分子量体」ということがある。)をも含むものである。
[0012] 本明細書において、上記「低分子量体」は、含フッ素単量体が重合してなるもののう ち低分子量であるものである力 本発明において、好ましくは、ゲルパーミエーシヨン クロマトグラフィーにより測定した分子量が 20000以下であるものである。上記低分子 量体は、本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法による抽出効率の点で、上記測定によ る分子量が 10000以下であるものがより好ましぐ分子量が 5000以下であるものが 更に好ましい。上記低分子量体は、上記範囲内の分子量を有するものであれば、通 常、上記測定による数平均分子量が 5000以上であるものであってよいし、本発明に おいては、数平均分子量 10000を超えるものであっても効率良く低減することができ る。
本明細書において、ゲルパーミエーシヨンクロマトグラフィー [GPC]は、 0. :!〜 0. 2 重量0 /0に調製した含フッ素ポリマーのテトラヒドロフラン [THF]溶液をデイスポーザル メンブランフィルターユニット DISMIC— 25HP (親水性ポリテトラフルォロエチレン [P TFE]、アドバンテック製)に通したものをサンプノレとして行う。使用する GPC装置は HLC— 8020 (東ソ一社製)であり、使用カラムは TSKgel G2000H 、 G3000H 、 G4000H 、 G5000H である。測定中、カラム内には上記サンプルを 1. Oml/

分にて導入し、圧力を 55kg/cm2に、温度を 40°Cに保持する。検出器には示差屈 折計 (RI)を用いる。分子量は、 GPCにより測定し、ポリスチレン換算した値である。
[0013] 本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法は、抽出により行うものであるが、該抽出は、上 記含フッ素単量体重合生成物に抽出溶媒を接触させることにより行う。本発明の含フ ッ素ポリマー精製方法は、該抽出により、上記含フッ素単量体重合生成物に含まれ ている低分子量体の量を該含フッ素単量体重合生成物から低減することができるも のである。
[0014] 上記抽出における抽出溶媒は、上記低分子量体を溶解することにより、該低分子量 体と含フッ素ポリマーとを分離することができる媒体である。
上記抽出に用いる抽出溶媒としては、用いる抽出溶媒の臨界温度以上、 130°C未満 の温度、且つ、該抽出溶媒の臨界圧力以上の圧力下に、上述の低分子量体を抽出 することができるものであれば特に限定されず、例えば、二酸化炭素の他、フルォロ ホルム(CF H ;R23)、パーフルォロェタン(C F ; R116)等の炭素数 1〜3のフルォ

口カーボン等が挙げられる。なかでも、容易に超臨界状態にすることができ、抽出効 率に優れる点で、二酸化炭素、フルォロホルム又はパーフルォロェタンが好ましぐ 二酸化炭素がより好ましい。
上記抽出における抽出溶媒は、 1種のみを用いてもよいし、 2種以上を混合して用い てもよいが、二酸化炭素、フルォロホルム及びパーフルォロェタンは、それぞれ 1種 のみを用いても充分に精製することができる。
[0015] 上記抽出における抽出溶媒は、上記抽出溶媒の臨界温度以上、 130°C未満の温度 であり、且つ、上記抽出溶媒の臨界圧力以上の圧力下にある。即ち、上記抽出は、 用いる抽出溶媒を 130°C未満の超臨界流体にして上述の含フッ素単量体重合生成 物に接触させることにより行う。
上記温度は、上記範囲内であれば、使用する抽出溶媒に応じて適宜設定することが できるが、好ましい下限が臨界温度より 0. 1°C高い温度であり、好ましい上限は 100 °C未満であり、より好ましい上限は 80°C未満である。
上記圧力は、上記範囲内であれば、使用する抽出溶媒に応じて適宜設定することが できる力 好ましい下限は、臨界圧力より lOOOOPa高い圧力であり、好ましい上限は 、臨界圧力より 50MPa高い圧力である。
[0016] 本発明における抽出において、用いる抽出溶媒の種類に応じ、所望により、ェントレ ーナを用いてもよい。
上記抽出溶媒として二酸化炭素を用いる場合、精製効率が向上する点で、系内、即 ち、抽出を行う槽内等において、水を併存させることが好ましい。二酸化炭素と併存 させる水としては、例えば、含フッ素単量体重合生成物としてエマルシヨン等の水を 大量に含むものを用いる場合、該エマルシヨン中の水のみであってもよいが、精製効 率の点で、別途系内に水を添加することが好ましレ、。
上記抽出溶媒としてフルォロホルム及び Z又はパーフルォロェタンを用いる場合、 系内において水が併存しても精製効率の向上が特に見られないので、水を系内に 併存させる必要はなぐ例えば、含フッ素単量体重合生成物として乾燥粉末を用いる 場合であっても、別途系内に水を添加する必要はない。
[0017] 本明細書において、(1)所望により用い得る上記水、ェントレーナ等を用いない場合 、抽出溶媒のみ、又は、(2)所望により上記水、ェントレーナ等を用いる場合、抽出 溶媒と所望により用いる該水、ェントレーナ等とを「抽出溶媒相」ということがある。本 明細書において、「抽出溶媒からなる抽出溶媒相」は、抽出溶媒のみからなるものを も含む概念である。
本明細書において、上記抽出溶媒相中の水について論じるときは、上記含フッ素単 量体重合生成物自体に含まれる水は考慮しなレ、ものとする。
[0018] 本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法において、抽出効率の点で、用いる抽出溶媒の 種類に応じ、上記抽出溶媒相は水を含むものであることが好ましい。
上記水の量は、使用する抽出溶媒、含フッ素ポリマー等の種類に応じて適宜設定す ること力 Sできる。上記水の量は、抽出溶媒 100質量部に対し 0. 005〜10質量部が好 ましぐより好ましい下限は 0. 01質量部、更に好ましい下限は 0. 05質量部、より好ま しい上限は 5質量部である。上記水の量及び抽出溶媒の量は、抽出を回分式 (バッ チ式)ではなぐ抽出溶媒を連続的に系内に供給する連続式 (以下、単に「連続式」と レ、うことがある。)により行う場合、それぞれ、系内に供給した全量についての値であ る。
上記水の量は、多すぎても、抽出効率を一定量以上に上げることは困難である。 上記抽出溶媒相は、例えば、上記抽出溶媒と水とから構成されるものである場合、上 記抽出溶媒が超臨界状態である条件下において、上記抽出溶媒と上記水とが完全 に溶解していないことがあり、例えば上記抽出溶媒が二酸化炭素である場合、本発 明における抽出を行う上述範囲内の温度において、二酸化炭素の超臨界流体中に 上記水が分散してなり、両者が完全に溶解しているわけではない。
[0019] 本発明における抽出において、上記抽出溶媒力 なる抽出溶媒相の比誘電率 ε は 、 1. 3を超えるものであることが好ましい。
上記抽出溶媒相の比誘電率 ε が上記範囲内であると、上記抽出溶媒による抽出効 率を向上することができる。
上記抽出溶媒相の比誘電率 ε の好ましい下限は 1. 31、より好ましい下限は 1. 40 である。上記抽出溶媒相の比誘電率 ε は、上記範囲内であれば、通常、上限を 20 とすることが工業上好ましい。

二酸化炭素、フルォロホルム等の上記抽出溶媒の密度は、抽出の場、即ち、抽出溶 媒が上述の温度と圧力である条件下において、 200g/L以上、 1300g/L以下で あることが好ましい。 [0021] 上記抽出において、上記含フッ素単量体重合生成物中の含フッ素ポリマーは、エラ ストマー性の含フッ素ポリマーであってもよぐ樹脂状の含フッ素ポリマーであってもよ レ、。
上記含フッ素ポリマーがエラストマ一性である場合、含フッ素単量体重合生成物は、 重合により生成した含フッ素ポリマーからなる一次粒子が水性媒体中に分散している エマルシヨンであってもよいし、該一次粒子が凝集若しくは合一してなる塊状物(クラ ム)であってもよい。

上記含フッ素ポリマーとしては、例えば、 PVdF, VdFZHFP共重合体、 VdFZTF E/HFP共重合体等の VdF系フッ素ゴム; TFE/Pr共重合体 [TFE - P] (旭硝子 社製の商品名「アフラス」); TFEZPAVE共重合体等のパーフルォロエラストマ一; Et/TFE共重合体 [ETFE]、 Et/TFEZHFP共重合体 [EFEP]、 PCTFE等の 非パーフルォ口のフッ素樹脂;パーフルォロ樹脂、例えば、 TFE/PMVE共重合体 [MFA]、 TFE/PPVE共重合体 [PFA]等の TFE/PAVE共重合体、低分子量 P TFE (ダイキン工業社製の商品名「ルブロン」等)、 TFE/HFP共重合体 [FEP]等 力はり好ましい。なかでも、精製効率に優れる点で、 VdF/HFP共重合体、 VdF/T FE/HFP共重合体、パーフルォロゴム、低分子量 PTFEが更に好ましぐまた、 FE P、 ETFE、 EFEP、 PVdF、 VdFZHFP共重合体等も更に好ましい。

[0038] 本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法において、上記抽出は、連続式の装置、半回分 式の装置及び回分式装置の何れの装置を用いて行ってもょレ、。 本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法においては、含フッ素単量体重合生成物から抽 出した低分子量体力 なる抽質と、抽出溶媒 (抽剤)とからなる抽出液力 前者 (抽質 )を分離した後者 (抽剤)を再度抽出に利用し得る点、また、抽出による抽出率が向上 する点で、連続的に行うことが好ましぐ例えば、図 1の模式図に示すような連続式の 装置で行うことが好ましい。
[0039] 本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法において、上記抽出を行った後、系内における 抽出溶媒を常温、常圧に戻し、該抽出溶媒を公知の方法等を用いて除去することに より、含フッ素ポリマーを回収する。
上記回収において、抽出溶媒を常温、常圧に戻す速度は、使用した抽出溶媒の種 類及び量に応じて適宜設定することができる。
上記回収、即ち、本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法を行うことにより得られた含フッ 素ポリマーは、エマルシヨン等の液状体、クラム、湿潤粉末、乾燥粉末の何れの形態 にも調製することができる。
[0040] 本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法は、超臨界状態にある抽出溶媒を用いて抽出を 行うものであるので、低分子量体を効率的に低減することができ、得られる含フッ素ポ リマーは、分子量分布がシャープなものとして得ることができる。
本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法は、上記低分子量体を低減することができるもの であるので、得られる含フッ素ポリマーは、ゲルパーミエーシヨンクロマトグラフィーに より測定した数平均分子量〔Mn〕と重量平均分子量〔Mw〕との比〔Mw/Mn〕で表さ れる分子量分布が約 1. 16以上である力 シャープなものとすることができる。上記分 子量分布は、含フッ素ポリマーの平均分子量による力 例えば、含フッ素ポリマーの 数平均分子量が 20万未満の場合、上記範囲の上限を約 1. 80、好ましくは約 1. 66 とすることちでさる。
[0041] 本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法は、上述したように、低分子量体を効率的に低 減することができるものであるので、機械的強度、耐熱性、耐薬品性等に優れた含フ ッ素ポリマーを得ることができる効果がある。

上記含フッ素エラストマ一は、重合方法、また、乳化重合又は懸濁重合における重合 開始剤の使用にもよる力 ポリマー鎖末端が _C〇F、 _CN、 _NH

発明の効果
[0051] 本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法及び本発明の含フッ素ポリマー製造方法は、上 述の構成よりなるものであるので、低分子量体を効率よく低減することができ、また、 分子量分布がシャープで、成形加工し易い含フッ素ポリマーを調製することができる 本発明の含フッ素エラストマ一は、上述の構成よりなるものであるので、分子量分布 がシャープであり、機械的強度等に優れた成形品の材料として有用である。
発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0052] 本発明を実施例により更に詳細に説明するが、本発明はこの実施例により限定され るものではない。

(1)実験装置は図 1の概略図に示すような連続式装置を用いた。即ち、 COボンべ 1
2 力 供給される二酸化炭素ガスを冷却器 2で冷却した後、圧力と温度とを 15MPa、 3 5°Cに設定して超臨界状態となるように調整し、得られた超臨界二酸化炭素 (密度 81 5g/L)を、含フッ素エラストマ一として VdF/HFP共重合体液状物 (ダイキン工業 社製「G101」、組成(モル0 /0) VdF : HFP = 78 : 22) 3. 2g、 を 1. 00ml加え、スタ 一ラー(攪拌速度 440rpm)を用いて攪拌しながら、流速 8. Og/分で流通を開始し、 約 0. 86時間 (600g)、約 1. 26時間 (870g)、約 2時間 (1380g)と合計流通量を変 えて流通させ、抽出を行った。抽出容器の体積は 200mLであり、抽出溶媒相の比誘 電率は 1. 5である。 抽出後の超臨界二酸化炭素と VdF/HFP共重合体との混合物は、背圧弁を通すこ とによって圧力を大気圧まで低下させ、 VdF/HFP共重合体を抽出容器内から回 収した。
回収後の VdF/HFP共重合体(0. 0214g)を、テトラヒドロフラン [THF] (10. 026 g)に溶解させ、分子量分布をゲルパーミエーシヨンクロマトグラフィー [GPC] (HLC — 8020 (東ソ一社製))により、分離溶媒に THFを用い、 40°Cで測定した。
結果を図 2に示す。
(2)二酸化炭素の合計流通量を 1380gとし、添加する水の量を Oml、 0. 100ml, 1. 00ml, 10. OmK二酸化炭素の合計流通量 100質量部に対し、それぞれ合計で 0質 量部、 0. 00725質量部、 0. 0725質量部、 0. 725質量部)と変える以外は、上記(1 )と同様に、抽出、回収を行い、 GPCを用いて測定した。
結果を図 3に示す。
抽出前の分子量分布は、 Mw/Mn= l . 865 (1. 87)であったのに対し、抽出後の 分子量分布は、 Mw/Mn= l . 159〜: 1. 658 (1. 16〜: 1. 66)であった。それぞれ の数平均分子量及び分子量分布を表 1に示す。

図 2及び図 3において、横軸は、 VdF/HFP共重合体の分子量〔M〕であり、縦軸は 、該 VdF/HFP共重合体の dw/d [log (M) ]〔wは VdF/HFP共重合体の重量、 Mは、 VdF/HFP共重合体の分子量〕である。なお、上記横軸及び縦軸は、後述の 図 4及び図 5についても同じである。
図 2及び図 3から、超臨界二酸化炭素を用いて VdFZHFP共重合体中液状物の低 分子量体を低減できることがわかった。該低分子量体は、水添加を行わなくても抽出 できたが、水を添カ卩することによって、抽出効率が向上した。しかし、水添加の量は、 一定量以上に増加しても、増加量に見合った抽出効率は見られなかった。

二酸化炭素をフルォロホルム(R23)に変え、フルォロホルムの合計流通量を 1380g とし、抽出に際し添加する水の量を Oml、 0. 1ml (フルォロホルムの合計流通量 100 質量部に対し、それぞれ合計で 0質量部、 0. 00724質量部)、抽出溶媒相の比誘 電率を 6. 6と変えて行う以外は、実施例 1の(2)と同様にして抽出を行レ、、回収した V dF/HFP共重合体にっレ、て分子量分布を求めた。結果を図 4に示す。
抽出後の数平均分子量は Mn = 8. 1 X 103、分子量分布は、 Mw/Mn= l . 32で あった。
図 4から、超臨界フルォロホルム(密度 990gZL)を用いて VdF/HFP共重合体液 状物中の低分子量体を低減できることがわかった。水を添加しても、精製後に回収し た VdFZHFP共重合体の分子量分布は、水を添カ卩しなかったものと変わらな力 た

二酸化炭素をパーフルォロェタン(R116)に変え、パーフルォロェタンの合計流通 量を 1380gとし、抽出に際し添加する水の量を 0. 1ml (パーフルォロェタンの合計 流通量 100質量部に対し、合計で 0. 00724質量部)、抽出溶媒相の比誘電率を 1. 5とする以外は、実施例 1の(2)と同様にして抽出を行レ、、回収した VdF/HFP共重 合体について分子量分布を求めた。抽出後の分子量分布は Mw/Mn= l . 87であ つた。結果を図 5に示す。図 5から、超臨界パーフルォロェタン (密度 1240g/L)を 用いて VdF/HFP共重合体液状物中の低分子量体を低減できることがわかった。

含フッ素エラストマ一に変え、テトラフルォロエチレン Zへキサフルォロプロピレン共 重合体 [FEP] (ダイキン工業社製、組成(モル%):« ?:丁 £= 17 : 83、 Mn = 2. 0 X 105、 Mw/Mn= 3. 00) 10. 0gを用い、二酸化炭素の合計流通量を 1000gとし 、添加する水の量を lml (二酸化炭素の合計流通量 100質量部に対し、合計で 0. 1 質量部(0. 5vol%) )になるように変えた以外は、実施例 1 (1)と同様に、抽出、回収 を行った。 その結果、抽出出口のトラップ容器に白色固体が付着しているのを確認した。しかし ながら、抽出量は微量であったため、質量を測定することができなかった。

含フッ素エラストマ一に変え、エチレン/テトラフルォロエチレン共重合体 [ETFE] ( ダイキン工業社製、組成(モル0 /0)エチレン: TFE = 44:56、 Mn=l.2X105、 Mw /Mn=3.89)10. Ogを用レ、、二酸化炭素の合計流通量を lOOOgとし、添加する 水の量を lml (二酸化炭素の合計流通量 100質量部に対し、合計で 0.1質量部(0. 5vol%))になるように変えた以外は、実施例 1 (1)と同様に、抽出、回収を行った。 その結果、抽出出口のトラップ容器に白色固体が付着しているのを確認した。しかし ながら、抽出量は微量であったため、質量を測定することができなかった。

含フッ素エラストマ一に変え、エチレン zテトラフルォロエチレン Zへキサフルォロプ ロピレン共重合体 [EFEP] (ダイキン工業社製、組成(モル0 /0)エチレン: TFE:HFP = 44:46.5:9.5)10. Ogを用い、二酸化炭素の合計流通量を lOOOgとし、添加す る水の量を lml (二酸化炭素の合計流通量 100質量部に対し、合計で 0. 1質量部( 0.5vol%))になるように変えた以外は、実施例 1 (1)と同様に、抽出、回収を行った その結果、抽出出口のトラップ容器に白色固体が付着しているのを確認した。しかし ながら、抽出量は微量であったため、質量を測定することができなかった。

含フッ素エラストマ一に変え、ビニリデンフルオライド単独重合体 [PVdF] (ダイキン 工業社製、 Mn=l.4X105、 Mw/Mn=2.29)10.0gを用レヽ、二酸化炭素の合 計流通量を 1000gとし、添加する水の量を lml(二酸化炭素の合計流通量 100質量 部に対し、合計で 0.1質量部(0.5vol%))になるように変えた以外は、実施例 1(1) と同様に、抽出、回収を行った。
その結果、抽出出口のトラップ容器に白色固体が付着しているのを確認した。しかし ながら、抽出量は微量であったため、質量を測定することができなかった。
[0062] 比較例 1 サンプノレ管に、含フッ素エラストマ一として、実施例 1に使用したものと同じ VdF/H FP共重合体液状物 3. 2gを投入し、へキサンを 10g入れ、常温、常圧(20°C、 1 X 1 05Pa)にて 24時間静置させ、抽出処理を行った。実施例 1と同じ方法により分子量分 布を抽出処理の前と後とにおいてそれぞれ測定したところ、抽出処理前の MwZMn fま 1. 865 (1. 87)、 由出処理後の Mw/Mnfま 1. 865 (1. 87)であった。上記由出 処理をへキサン 100質量部に対し 0. 724質量部の水を添カ卩して、実施例 1の(2)と 同様に行っても同様の結果であった。
以上の結果から、へキサンでは、水添カ卩の有無に関わりなぐ低分子量体を低減でき ないことがわかった。へキサンには、低分子量体が溶解しないためと考えられる。

へキサンをアセトンに変えた以外は、比較例 1と同じ方法、条件にて抽出処理を行つ た。アセトンには、 VdFZHFP共重合体全体が溶解してしまレ、、低分子量体を分離 抽出できなかった。
産業上の利用可能性
[0064] 本発明の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法及び本発明の含フッ素ポリマー製造方法は、上 述の構成よりなるものであるので、低分子量体を効率よく低減することができ、また、 分子量分布がシャープであり、成形加工し易い含フッ素ポリマーを調製することがで きる。
本発明の含フッ素エラストマ一は、上述の構成よりなるものであるので、分子量分布 がシャープであり、機械的強度等に優れた成形品の材料として有用である。

Claims

請求の範囲
[1] 抽出により含フッ素単量体重合生成物から含フッ素ポリマーを精製することよりなる含 フッ素ポリマー精製方法であって、
前記含フッ素ポリマーは、主鎖を構成する炭素原子に直接結合しているフッ素原子 又はパーフルォロアルキル基を少なくとも 1個有するものであり、
前記抽出における抽出溶媒は、前記抽出溶媒の臨界温度以上、 130°C未満の温度 であり、且つ、臨界圧力以上の圧力下にある
ことを特徴とする含フッ素ポリマー精製方法。
[2] 抽出溶媒からなる抽出溶媒相の比誘電率が 1. 3を超える請求項 1記載の含フッ素ポ リマー精製方法。
[3] 抽出溶媒は、二酸化炭素である請求項 1又は 2記載の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法。
[4] 抽出溶媒は、フルォロホルム又はパーフルォロェタンである請求項 1又は 2記載の含 フッ素ポリマー精製方法。
[5] 抽出溶媒相は、水を含むものである請求項 1、 2、 3又は 4記載の含フッ素ポリマー精 製方法。
[6] 含フッ素ポリマーは、テトラフルォロエチレン、へキサフルォロプロピレン、パーフルォ 口(アルキルビュルエーテル)、クロ口トリフルォロエチレン、トリフルォロエチレン及び ビニリデンフルオライドよりなる群から選択される少なくとも 1つのモノマーを重合して なるものであるか、又は、前記少なくとも 1つのモノマーとエチレン及び/若しくはプロ ピレンとを重合してなるものである請求項 1、 2、 3、 4又は 5記載の含フッ素ポリマー精 製方法。
[7] 含フッ素ポリマーは、テトラフルォロエチレン Zへキサフルォロプロピレン共重合体、 エチレン/テトラフルォロエチレン共重合体、エチレン zテトラフルォロエチレン Zへ キサフルォロプロピレン共重合体、ビニリデンフルオライド単独重合体、及び、ビニリ デンフルオライド/へキサフルォロプロピレン共重合体よりなる群から選択される少な くとも 1種である請求項 1、 2、 3、 4、 5又は 6記載の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法。
[8] 含フッ素単量体重合生成物に精製処理を施して含フッ素ポリマーを製造することより なる含フッ素ポリマー製造方法であって、 前記精製処理は、請求項 1、 2、 3、 4、 5、 6又は 7記載の含フッ素ポリマー精製方法 により行う
ことを特徴とする含フッ素ポリマー製造方法。
[9] ゲルパーミエーシヨンクロマトグラフィーにより測定した数平均分子量〔Mn〕と重量平 均分子量〔Mw〕との比〔MwZMn〕で表される分子量分布が 1. 16以上、 1. 87未 満である
ことを特徴とする含フッ素エラストマ一。
[10] 数平均分子量が 5000〜300000である請求項 9記載の含フッ素エラストマ一。
[11] 単量体単位として、ビニリデンフルオライド Zへキサフルォロプロピレン単位、又は、 ビニリデンフルオライド/へキサフルォロプロピレン/テトラフルォロエチレン単位を 有する請求項 9又は 10記載の含フッ素エラストマ一。
[12] ポリマー鎖末端が一 C〇F、一 CN、一 NH、一 C〇OH、一 CF CH〇H、一 C H (
2 2 2 n m 式中、 nは、 1〜6の整数、 mは、 3〜13の整数を表す)、 CF H (式中、 nは、 1 n 3 -n
〜3の整数を表す)よりなる群から選択される少なくとも 1種である請求項 9、 10又は 1 1記載の含フッ素エラストマ一。
