- the half-width of the HT variant in the case of the optimized HT variant is considerably smaller than that of the simple mixture containing foreign phases and defects and is in the range 70 to 80 nm, while the simple mixture containing foreign phases or defects contains a half-width of approximately 110 to 120 nm shows.
- the dominant wavelength in the HT modification is generally shorter, typically 10 to 20 nm shorter, than in the case of a sample containing clearly foreign phases.
- the efficiency of the high-purity HT modification is typically at least 20% higher, in some cases significantly higher, than that of the NT-dominated or high-phase mixture.
- a red phosphor is also used to improve the color of this system.
- the use of an additional primarily red-emitting LED is preferred. It is used in particular together with a blue-emitting base LED, ((Y, La, Gd, Lu) 2 O 2 S: Eu 3+ , SrS: Eu 2+ or (Ca, Sr) 2 Si 5 are particularly suitable N 8 : Eu 2+ , especially with a high Ca content.
