Abstract

L'invention concerne un galet de guidage de barre pour supporter et guider des barres métalliques coulées dans une installation de coulée continue, ce galet de guidage étant doté d'un arbre rotatif central (1) et d'au moins une enveloppe (3) en appui sur l'arbre de façon à ne pas tourner. L'invention vise à réaliser un galet de guidage de barre qui correspond mieux aux sollicitations mécaniques et thermiques. A cet effet, l'enveloppe du galet est en appui sur l'arbre au moyen de bagues d'appui (4) ou d'un manchon (26), entre l'arbre (1) et l'enveloppe (3) est formé un espace annulaire (6) limité dans le sens axial par les bagues d'appui (4), cet espace annulaire (6) servant de canal pour l'agent réfrigérant.
