Abstract
Verfahren zur insekten- und schimmelpilzresistenten Ausrüstung von Naturfasern, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man sie mit Salzen und evtl. zusätzlich einer Dispersion oder Lösung wenigstens eines filmbildenden Polymers ausrüstet. Zum Vlies verarbeitet, ist eine nach obiger Methode ausgerüstete Wolle als Dämmstoff gegen Wärme, Kälte und Schall einsetzbar.

Verfahren zur Ausrüstung von Fasern
Beschreibung der Erfindung
1. Einführung in den technischen Problemkreis
Neuerdings werden verstärkt Dämmstoffe gegen Wärme, Kälte und Schall aus Keratinfasem, z.B. aus Schafschurwolle oder auch aus anderen nachwachsenden Rohstoffen hergestellt. Dieser Anwendungsfall stellt andere Anforderungen an die technischen Eigenschaften des Materials, als es bisher im rein textilen Bereich der Fall war. Insbesondere der Schutz gegen Insekten- und Schimmelbefall ist besonders wichtig, um die geforderten technischen Eigenschaften, auch langfristig über die Anwendungsdauer von mehreren Jahrzehnten, zu gewährleisten. Auch die Rückführung des Produktes nach der Gebrauchsphase in den Stoffkreislauf (siehe z. B. auch das Kreislaufwirtschaftsgesetz für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland vom Oktober 1996) ist zu beachten.
2. Stand der Technik
Die unter Punkt 1 aufgeführten Aufgaben werden vollständig z.B. durch das Verfahren mit der Patent-Nr. DE 4339078 mit Boraten in unterschiedlichen Formen gelöst.
Andere Verfahren verwenden z.B. Chlorpestizide zum Insektenschutz. Bekannt ist die Verwendung verschiedener Salze bei der Faserausrüstung. Der Zusatz von neutralen Salzen eines starken Elektrolyten bei der Behandlung von Wollfasern ist in US Patent 4319879 beschrieben.
Die Hilfsstoffe bleiben jedoch nicht auf den Wollfasern, sondern werden bei weiteren Verfahrensschritten ausgespült. Bei dem beschriebenen Chlorierungsverfahren zur Verbesserung des Griffs von Wolle wird durch den Zusatz von Salzen nur ein Schutz bestimmter Wollbestandteile vor zugesetzter Säure bewirkt.
In der Patentschrift DE 3545001 wird eine aus Naturprodukten hergestellte Wärmedämmplatte beschrieben. Die dort beschriebenen, überwiegend aus Altpapier hergestellten Platten können zur mechanischen Verfestigung Tierhaare enthalten. Als feuer- und fäulnishemmende Komponente wird bevorzugt Borax und Borsäure angegeben. Als weiterer mineralischer Zusatz wird Aluminiumsulfat angegeben.
In DE 3915628 werden Baustoffe aus organischen Materialien hergestellt, bei denen Mischungen aus Magnesiumoxid und Magnesiumchlorid als Bindemittel verwendet werden. Für die in der Anmeldung beschriebene Funktionalität als Bindemittel ist es immer notwendig und auch so beschrieben, daß mit Mischungen aus Magnesiumoxid und Magnesiumchlorid gearbeitet wird.
3. Nachteile der vorhandenen Lösungen
Borate sind relativ teuer, Chlorpestizide und Halogene sind aufgrund ihrere Toxizität problembehaftet.
4. Welche konkrete Aufgabe soll durch die Erfindung auf die vorbekannten Lösungen gelöst werden.
Ausrüstung von Keratinfasem oder Gefügen daraus zur Verbesserung der ursprünglichen Eigenschaften bzgl. Schimmelpilz- und Insektenbefall.
5. Erfindungsgemäßes Lösungsprinzip und die technischen Wirkungen
Die Wirkungen werden anhand von Beispielen aufgezeigt, ohne den Umfang der Erfindung einschränken zu wollen: Insektenschutz:
Mit Natriumchlorid ausgestattete Wolle weist eine deutlich geringere Empfindlichkeit gegen z.B. Teppichkäfer und Motten auf, als unbehandelte Wolle. Möglicherweise wirkt Natriumchlorid als Fraßgift, indem es störend auf den Salzstoffwechsel im Verdauungstrakt von Insektenmaden einwirkt. Schimmelpilzresistenz:
Mit NaCI / Na2SO-t- Mischungen ausgerüstete Wolle ist schimmelbeständig nach ICE-Norm 68/2-10.
6. Vorteile der Erfindung
Die beschriebene Ausrüstung der Fasern zeichnet sich aus durch: Kostenextensivität, ökologische Vorteilhaftigkeit durch leichte
Wiedereingliederung der verwendeten Stoffe in den ökologischen und wirtschaftlichen Kreislauf und humantoxische Unbedenklichkeit, sowie leichte technische Durchführbarkeit und leichte Einfügbarkeit in bestehende technische Verfahren.
7. Neue oder bekannte Umgehungsmöglichkeiten
In Bezug auf die Summe der unter Punkt 6 genannten Vorteile sind keine Umgehungsmöglichkeiten bzw. Alternativen bekannt.
8. Genaue Beschreibung der Erfindung
Wirkstoffe für die gleichzeitige Erreichung von Insekten- und
Schimmelpilzresistenz bei Keratinfasem sind die beanspruchten Salze. Die Einbindung der Wirkstoffe in die Faserstruktur und an die Faser erfolgt z.B. durch Tauchen in Lösungen der Verbindungen, wobei diese Lösungen vorteilhafterweise Temperaturen von 20 bis 99 °C (vgl. Bsp. 1,2,3) aufweisen. Je höher die Temperatur ist, desto stärker quellen die eingesetzten Fasern und umso mehr Wirkstoff kann in die Faser eindringen. Zur weiteren Anbindung von Wirkstoff an die zu behandelnden Materialien dient der Zusatz von Polymerdispersionen zur Ausrüstungslösung ( vgl. Bsp. 2 und. 6).
Weiterhin können zur Förderung des Auftrags den Lösungen noch Tenside, wasserlösliche Polymere, Weichmacher und Antimigrationsmittel zugefügt werden. Eine Variante der Erfindung ist auch, sie mit anderen Verfahren zu kombinieren.
Bei Fasern, die einen Waschprozeß durchlaufen, kann die Ausrüstung leicht in den Waschprozeß integriert werden.
Als weitere Ausrüstverfahren sind auch Schmälzen und Besprühen im Rahmen anderer Arbeitsvorgänge denkbar. Es kann auch von Vorteil sein, die zu behandelnden Materialien in Salzlösungen, die nativen Ursprungs sind (ohne den Umweg der Kristallisation und anschließendes Lösen), wie Meerwasser oder Salzsoien, die überwiegend NaCI enthalten, zu waschen und gleichzeitig auszurüsten ( vgl. Bsp. 4 und 5).
Je nach Erfordernissen der Anwendung für die zu behandelnden Materialien ist die Wirkstoffbeladung im Rahmen von 0,1 - 25 % und die Wirkstoffkombination relativ frei wählbar.
Sinnvoll ist auch die Verwendung natürlich vorkommender oder nicht aufgereinigter Salze.
Tests mit nach Bsp. 1 ausgerüsteter Wolle haben ergeben, daß Populationen von Kleidermotten sich nicht entwickeln konnten und abgestorben sind, sogar adult eingesetzte Maden das Verpuppungsstadium nicht mehr erreichten. Diese Wirksamkeit einer Substanz, die für Menschen als Lebensmittel dient, überrascht um so mehr, als die nach dem Stand der Technik notwendige Beladungsmenge für gesundheitsschädliche Stoffe wie Chlorpestizide für den Ungezieferschutz bei ca. 0,5 % liegt.
Vorteilhaft an der erfindungsgemäß ausgerüsteten Wolle ist auch, daß sie sich in der Nachgebrauchsphase ohne ökologische Probleme in vorhandene Stoffkreisläufe einfügt. Ist z.B. eine Kompostierung angestrebt, ist die Verwendung von Naturkautschuk als Polymerdispersion oder von anderen bioabbauren wasserlöslichen Polymeren (z.B. Polyvinylalkohol) bei der Ausrüstung sinnvoll. Mit dem beschriebenen Verfahren lassen sich auch beliebige andere faserige Materialien, oder Fasermischungen oder Fasergefüge ausrüsten.
Aufgrund der beobachteten Wirksamkeit von Kochsalz gegen Insektenbefall ist denkbar, daß auch andere Salzausrüstungen bei Wolle eine insektizide Wirkung zeigen.
Beispiele:
1 ) Wolle wird bei 20 °C in eine 5 prozentige Lösung von NaCI getaucht, so abgequetscht, daß die Feuchteaufnahme ca. 100 % des Wollgewichtes beträgt und bei 105°C getrocknet. Die behandelte Wolle weist eine Gewichtszunahme von ca. 5 % auf und ist im Langzeittest mottensicher (Tineola bisseliella) und tep- pichkäferecht (Anthrenus flavipes).
2) Schafwolle wird bei 40 °C in eine 8 prozentige Lösung von Na2Sθ4, die mit 0,8 % einer Naturkautschukdispersion versetzt ist, eingetaucht, auf 70 % Restfeuchte abgequetscht und auf 50 % Restfeuchte geschleudert.
Die Probe wird an Luft getrocknet. Die behandelte Probe weist eine Gewichtszunahme von 5,7 % auf. Ein Vlies aus so behandelter Wolle bleibt milbenfrei.
3) Schafschurwolle wird in eine 2 prozentige Lösung, die Magnesiumchlorid und Magnesiumsulfat zu gleichen Teilen enthält, bei 80 °C getaucht und anschließend getrocknet. Die behandelte Wolle weist eine Gewichtszunahme von 3 % auf. Sie läßt sich, mit anderen Bioabfällen vermischt, problemlos kompostieren.
4) Schafwolle wird mit einer Steinsalzsole besprüht und anschließend getrocknet. Die behandelte Wolle, bei 98% relativer Luftfeuchte (25°C) über 6 Monate gelagert, zeigt keine Schimmelpilzbildung.
5) Schafwolle wird in Meerwasser gewaschen und getrocknet. Die behandelte Wolle weist eine Gewichtszunahme von 2,5 % auf. Eine so ausgerüstete Wolle ist teppichkäferecht.
6) Ein Wollfilz wird in einer wäßrigen Lösung aus NaCI, MgC , Ammoniumsulfat und Magnesiumphosphat ( e 10 g/l) und einer Polymerdispersion foullardiert und getrocknet. Ein so behandelter Wollfilz kann als Teppichrücken oder für andere Wohntextilien eingesetzt werden und ist im Test teppichkäferecht und mottensicher.
8) Abfallstaub aus der Wollverarbeitung wird mit Natriumsulfat-Decahydrat gemischt. Ein solcher Staub läßt sich zum Zwecke der Wärmedämmung pneumatisch in einen Hohlraum fördern und verdichten. Der Staub enthielt üblicherweise
25% Vegetabilien (Stroh, pflanzliche Fasern). Die Mischung war im Test schimmelpilzbeständig und mottensicher.
9) Natriumsulfat * 10 H2O, Magnesiumsulfat * 7 H2O werden trocken mit Wollstaub vermischt. Diese Mischung wird mit einer Naturkautschukdispersion und Kalk als Füllstoff vermischt. Durch Trocknen erhält man eine wasserabweisende Platte der Rohdichte 60 kg/m3 mit wärmeisolierenden Eigenschaften. Die Plattenstücke sind schimmelpilzbeständig (98% Luftfeuchtigkeit, 25°C, 1000 Stunden).
10) Ein Mischfilz aus 50% Schurwolle und 50% Viskose wird mit einer wässrigen Lösung aus Natriumchlorid, Magnesiumsulfat und einer Pflanzenharzdispersion foulardiert und zu einer Filzplatte getrocknet. Die Platte ist schimmelpilzbeständig und mottensicher.
11 ) Während der Vliesproduktion wird ein Schurwollvlies durch eine Kreuzlegermaschine in Vlieslagen geschichtet, während es lagenweise mit einer Polymerdispersion besprüht wird, die Natriumsulfat und Natriumchlorid enthält. Das Vlies ist mottensicher und schimmelpiizstabil.
12) Wolle wird in einer wässrigen Lösung behandelt, die je 6% Ammoniumsulfat und Ammoniumphosphat enthält und anschließend in einem zweiten Tauchbad mit einer Naturharzdispersion nachbehandelt, danach verdichtet, getrocknet und kalandriert. Der erhaltene Filz ist teppichkäfer- und mottensicher, sowie schimmelpilzstabil.
13) Baumwolle wird in eine wässrigen Lösung, die 10% Natriumchlorid enthält, getaucht und anschließend getrocknet. Die Baumwollflocken sind anschließend schimmelpilzstabil und und eingesetzte Silberfische verenden.
Anwendungsbeispiel :
Eine nach dem oben beschrieben Verfahren behandelte Waschwolle wird zu einen Vlies der Raumdichte 25 kg kardiert. Dieses Vlies ist als fertiges Dämmstoffvlies direkt in Hohlräumen jeder Art als Dämmstoff gegen Wärme, Kälte, Schall einsetzbar.

Patentansprüche
Anspruch 1
Verfahren zur insekten- und schimmelpilzresistenten Ausrüstung von Keratinfasern oder Mischungen die Keratinfasern enthalten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man das Gut in einem wässrigen Bad imprägniert, das Natriumchlorid enthält, oder mit einer Lösung, die Natriumchlorid enthält besprüht oder sonstwie behandelt, oder das Gut mit Natriumchlorid als Feststoff vermahlt oder sonstwie vermischt, wobei im gleichen oder einem nachfolgenden Verfahrensschritt zusätzlich das Gut mit einer Dispersion oder Lösung wenigstens eines filmbildenden Polymers oder Harzes oder Öls behandelt werden kann.
Anspruch 2 Verfahren zur insekten- und schimmelpilzresistenten Ausrüstung von Keratinfasern oder Mischungen die Keratinfasern enthalten nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß statt Natriumchlorid Magnesiumsulfat verwendet wird.

Verfahren zur insekten- und schimmelpilzresistenten Ausrüstung von Keratinfasern oder Mischungen die Keratinfasern enthalten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß statt Natriumchlorid Natriumsulfat verwendet wird.
Anspruch 4
Verfahren zur insekten- und schimmelpilzresistenten Ausrüstung von Keratinfasern oder Mischungen die Keratinfasern enthalten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß statt Natriumchlorid Magnesiumchlorid verwendet wird.
Anspruch 5
Verfahren zur insekten- und schimmelpilzresistenten Ausrüstung von Keratinfasern oder Mischungen die Keratinfasern enthalten nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß statt Natriumchlorid Mischungen verwendet werden, die aus mindestens zwei der folgenden Salze bestehen: Natriumchlorid , Magnesiumchlorid, Magesiumsulfat und Natriumsulfat .
Anspruch 6
Verfahren zur insekten- und schimmelpilzresistenten Ausrüstung von Keratinfasern oder Mischungen die Keratinfasern enthalten nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß statt Natriumchlorid ein Ammoniumphospat, Ammoniumsulfat, Ammoniumchlorid, Natriumphosphat oder Magnesiumphosphat verwendet wird.
Anspruch 7
Verfahren zur insekten- und schimmelpilzresistenten Ausrüstung von Keratinfasern oder Mischungen die Keratinfasern enthalten nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, das statt Natriumchlorid Mischungen von mindestens zwei der in Anspruch 5 und Anspruch 6 genannten Salze verwendet werden.
Anspruch 8
Verfahren zur insekten- und schimmelpilzresistenten Ausrüstung von Pflanzenfasern oder Mischungen, die Pflanzenfasern enthalten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man das Gut in einem wässrigen Bad imprägniert, das Natriumchlorid enthält, oder mit einer Lösung, die Natriumchlorid enthält besprüht oder sonstwie behandelt, oder das Gut mit Natriumchlorid als Feststoff vermahlt oder sonstwie vermischt, wobei im gleichen oder einem nachfolgenden Verfahrensschritt zusätzlich das Gut mit einer Dispersion oder Lösung wenigstens eines filmbildenden Polymers oder Harzes oder Öls behandelt werden kann.
