Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for the metered delivery of a pasty medium, in particular for dispensing pasty toothpaste or soap, consisting of a stationary storage container for the medium and an adjusting member which can be displaced approximately horizontally against the force of a spring by means of a toothbrush or by hand. through which the medium can be ejected from a line connected to the storage container.
- the adjustment member consists of a slidably guided carriage, on the top of which a pressure member is pivotally arranged.
- a line made of an elastically resilient, deformable material, through which the storage container is connected to a dispensing mouthpiece, and, in addition to this, cams with which the tension member interacts are arranged in the adjustment region of the carriage.
- This known device is structurally not only very complex and therefore expensive to manufacture, but also very prone to failure, since the carriage against the force of the return spring, which is to be dimensioned strongly, since this causes the toothpaste to be discharged, to be pushed back into a certain starting position and also the overlapping of the cams by the pressure member must be ensured.
- a further disadvantage is that each time the device is used, the same amount of toothpaste is expelled, a change in the amount is therefore not possible, and that considerable difficulties can arise when refilling the line compressed by the pressure member and when cleaning the device.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a device for the metered delivery of a pasty medium, by means of which it is possible to easily remove a selectable amount of the medium from a storage container in which the removal can be interrupted at any time.
- the construction effort required for this should be kept low, so that the device can be produced economically. Malfunctions caused by wearing parts should thus be largely avoided.
- the device should also be easy to handle, fill and clean and at the same time be able to hold toothbrushes.
- a device for the metered delivery of a pasty medium of the aforementioned type in that the adjusting member is designed as a slide or piston acting directly on the medium to be discharged, to which a storage space connected to the storage container via a supply line is assigned , and that the storage space is provided by means of a discharge line, preferably designed as a riser line, in which and in the supply line an isolating valve which is effective as a function of the operating position of the slide or piston is inserted.
- the slide on the side facing the storage container as a piston which is displaceably guided in its casing and to provide it on the side facing away from the storage space by means of a receiving opening for supporting a toothbrush or a similar actuating member, the receiving opening being in the longitudinal direction should be angular, preferably equipped with side walls.
- the storage container into a housing that surrounds it at a distance, in the bottom of which the storage space of the slide is provided in the form of a bore perpendicular to the housing, as well as the supply line and, in part, the discharge line.
- the piston it is appropriate to insert the piston into a bore provided as a storage space in an intermediate wall of a housing and to actuate it against the force by means of a return spring by means of a hand lever preferably articulated on the intermediate wall.
- the shut-off valve of the supply line can be formed by a preferably spherical valve body, which cooperates with a mouthpiece of the storage container or a sleeve connected to the intermediate wall of the housing, which valve body is formed in an extension piece formed on the casing of the storage space, into which the storage container engages with its mouthpiece or is inserted into the sleeve.
- the shut-off valve of the discharge line can likewise be formed by a preferably spherical valve body, which cooperates with a valve surface or with the intermediate wall of the housing and which is adjustable against the force of a valve spring and is inserted into the discharge line.
- the discharge line can consist in a simple manner of an attachment piece provided on the casing of the storage space, preferably provided with the valve surface for the shut-off valve, and a hose line placed thereon and passed through the housing and opening over the receiving opening of the slide.
- cup-shaped storage container on the inner wall of the housing by means of radially projecting, preferably arranged in its lower area and evenly distributed over the circumference of the wing.
- the housing with a removable, preferably hinged lid and to support the storage container on the side opposite the slide by means of a holder in the housing, the holder completely or partially overlapping the storage container and by means of one or more protruding projections the inner wall of the housing is slidably supported and should be provided between the approaches of the holder and / or in these recesses for receiving toothbrushes or the like.
- toothbrushes embedded in the housing are extended into a convenient position when the cover is opened.
- the bottom of the housing can be covered by a shell which can preferably be plugged onto this, or can be provided with an opening aligned with the discharge line, and the housing should also have a wall bracket.
- a device for the metered delivery of a pasty medium is designed according to the invention, it is possible to pump and open a selectable amount of toothpaste or soap from a storage room connected to the storage container by actuating the slide or piston using a toothbrush or by hand to apply the toothbrush or a hand. Since the shut-off valve used in the supply line is closed and the shut-off valve arranged in the discharge line is opened, the slide or piston acts as a pump piston, by means of which the toothpaste or
- the pumping process can be interrupted at any time, so that the amount of toothpaste or soap to be taken up can easily be adapted to the respective intended use.
- the construction effort for the production of the device designed according to the proposal is extremely small, so that it is not only economical to manufacture from injection molded parts, but also operational disruptions are almost impossible. Furthermore, the device can be easily cleaned and its storage container filled without difficulty, and in the case of a device designed as a toothpaste dispenser, toothbrushes or similar objects can also be stored directly in the housing thereof. With simple handling, a metered delivery of toothpaste or another pasty medium, which can be easily adapted to the respective intended use, is therefore easy to achieve.
