Definitions
- the invention relates to a multi-purpose backpack according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- Daypacks are known, e.g. in the form of so-called city bags, which essentially consist of one bag. These backpacks are relatively awkward to access and can easily be tipped over, particularly in the parked position.
- Backpacks are also known which consist of a plurality of pockets which can be separated from one another, as well as backpacks with a hinged upper part or a hinged bottom section.
- US Pat. No. 4,236,657 shows a backpack which consists of several pockets or packing units, the packing units being releasably attached via connecting webs which run along the edges of a backpack bag which run vertically in the transport position.
- a bicycle bag is known from DE-GM 78 08 275, which are held together from two bags with a common connecting piece on the top in the position of use. A cord attached to the connecting piece and a carrying strap are used for carrying.
- the object of the invention is to create a backpack, which essentially has two separate pockets, which can be used in a simple manner, both as a pocket and as a backpack, and in a special configuration. can also be used as a bicycle luggage bag.
- the hand grip is located on the connecting web, which connects the two pockets to one another.
- the horizontal division into the two pockets in conjunction with the carrying handle arrangement according to the invention, allows simple use as a double carrying bag, which, with the carrying volume remaining the same as in the backpack shape, has a substantially increased stability, since the center of gravity height is roughly halved compared to the backpack shape.
- the connecting elements which can be provided in addition to the connecting web enable the two pockets to be quickly connected into a backpack shape in their position when they are unfolded around the connecting web.
- Carrying in the form of a rucksack is also possible by hanging a rucksack carrying strap over the shoulder, so that this results in the use as a shoulder bag.
- the connecting section is perpendicular between the arm and the body of the user, and the two pockets hang laterally in front of and behind his body. This way of carrying is very comfortable, especially because of the favorable distribution of the center of gravity towards the middle of the body and the pleasant freedom of movement in the area between the arm and the body.
- the connecting elements can be realized by different means, e.g. through Velcro fastenings on the pocket opposite the connecting web. It would also be possible to use simple tapes, button, cord-eye connections, elastic bands or the like. to use.
- connecting elements can also be designed, for example, as a zipper which summarizes the three outer edge portions of the pocket in the shape of the rucksack.
- hinge locks for example in the hinge-joint coupling of pocket-stiffening support frames.

- FIG. 7 shows a further embodiment which, in addition to being used in the form of a backpack and a double bag, can also be used as a bicycle bag on an appropriate carrier
- 8 shows the embodiment shown in FIG. 7 in its bicycle bag shape
- FIG. 9 shows a further embodiment for the additional use of the backpack as a bicycle bag with a modified connecting web and
- FIG. 10 shows the embodiment according to FIG. 9 in its bicycle bag shape.
- FIG. 11 shows a further embodiment of a multi-purpose backpack with a special carrying strap variant
- FIG. 12 shows a further embodiment of a multi-purpose backpack with a square pocket shape and a rotationally symmetrical pocket arrangement
- FIG. 13 shows a detailed illustration of the day belt variant according to FIG. 11.
- the multipurpose backpack shown in FIG. 1 has, in the shape of a rucksack, pockets 1, 2 which are arranged one above the other and which are connected to one another in an articulated manner via a horizontally extending connecting web 3.
- a hand carrying handle 4 which protrudes upwards according to FIG. 2, and a pair of carrying straps 5 protrudes from the left outer pocket surface according to FIG. 1.
- connection elements 6, which are located on the side opposite the connecting web 3, the two pockets are held in the backpack shape in addition to the connecting web.
- the connecting element 6 indicated schematically in FIG. 1 is realized by a Velcro fastener 7.
- the hand-carrying handle 4 protrudes upward from the connecting web 3, as said.
- the pockets 1, 2 each have upper openings 12, 12 ', and the pocket 1 has an additional lower opening 13-
- the two openings 12, 12' are concealed in the backpack shape according to FIG. 1 and are therefore not readily accessible . This is an important security feature.
- the connecting element 6 is a coupling zipper 10 which surrounds the two pockets on three sides and which is designed as a one-piece zipper or can also be formed by several zippers.
- FIG. 3 shows schematically pocket-stiffening support frames 8 which are pivotally connected to one another via double hinges 9.
- a handle (not shown) is provided in the hinge area.
- the carrying straps 5 can be inserted into the intermediate pocket area when the pockets are folded into the double pocket shape.
- the carrying straps 5 are fixed to a central fastening 13, for example a push button, which is located for each carrying strap on the area of the connecting web 3 facing away from the carrying handle 4, and are thereby kept hidden between the two folded pockets 1, 2.
- the two pockets 1, 2 in the region of their pocket side facing the carrying straps 5 are provided with a further, Provided over both pockets in the backpack shape, continuous and foldable compartment 14.
- This compartment 14 is accessible from above in the form of a rucksack and thus also provides storage space of double the height of the pocket, if necessary. From the interior of this additional
- opening sections can be provided in the two pockets 1, 2.
- a back part 21 which comprises the connecting web 3, the carrying straps 5 and the hand carrying handle 4.
- zipper halves are fastened to this back part, which can be connected to correspondingly matching zipper halves which are fastened to the back of the pockets.
- FIGS. 7 to 10 relate to multi-purpose backpacks which, in addition to the use described, can also be used as bicycle luggage bags.
- the connecting web 3 is designed in a width corresponding to the usual luggage rack width of bicycles.
- detachable connecting straps 15 are provided, which can be coupled together by means of a push-button connection, as shown in FIG. 7. This allows the distance between pockets 1 and 2 to be reduced - so that the multi-purpose backpack can be carried in its backpack shape.
- the connecting web 3, which is wider in this embodiment, can be folded into the remaining space. -3-
- the multi-purpose backpack can be placed on a luggage carrier as a bicycle luggage bag when the connecting straps 15 are loosened, the connecting web 3 spanning the luggage carrier or being fastened to it, and the pockets 1 and 2 on the side of the luggage carrier Hang the luggage rack down.
- the connecting web 3 is not designed as a continuous piece of material, but instead is in the form of two carrying strap extension pieces 16, each fastened with one end to the upper edge of the pocket 2 and to the rear of the pocket Upper pocket 1 are slidably guided in loops 19.
- the relative movement of the pocket 1 to the pocket 2 is limited in each case by a belt stop part 20 which has an upper stop 17 and a lower stop 18.
- These belt stop parts which are firmly connected to the belt extension pieces, make it possible, as can be seen in FIG. 9, to move the bag 1 between the backpack shape and the luggage rack shape shown in FIG. 10, in which the stops 18 bear against the opposite loops 19 . If you want to carry the bags 1, 2 out of the luggage carrier position shown in FIG.
- FIGS. 11 and 13 show a cross-sectional view in FIG. 13 shows a toggle-type attachment of a strap end in a guide groove 26. This attachment has a coupling toggle 27 between the end of the strap 5 and the back of the pocket 1, 2.
- a horizontal and a vertical central axis h and v are drawn in FIG. These axes define the symmetry with respect to which the guide grooves 26 are inclined.
- the free displacement of the coupling toggles 27 in the guide grooves 26 allows the backpack to be rotated by 180 in its backpack position, whereby e.g. the previously lower pocket is accessible from above. If you now want to carry the backpack on your back in this rotated position, this can be done immediately since the riser anchorages 25 move automatically in their guide grooves and thus automatically adapt to the carrying position. The weight of the backpack alone makes such an adjustment.
- pocket reinforcement in the form of a plate 29 is provided.
- this plate 29 has a rotationally symmetrical rotary bearing 28, on which a further plate 30 is rotatably mounted.
- This double-plate stiffening serves, in the case of a square design of plates and pockets, for variable accessibility of the pockets on all side or zipper sections.
- the rotary bearing 28 can also be designed to snap into 90 ° segments. This allows the preferred access position to be fixed.
