UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
NICHOLAS S. VEDDER AND FRANCIS RITCHIE, OF TROY, NEW YORK, ASSIGNORS TO NICHOLAS S. VEDDER, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A COOKING-STOVE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 6,313, dated December 17, 1872.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that We, NGHOLAS S. YEDDER and FRANCIS RITCHIE, each. of the cityl of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of Nenr York, have jointly invented and produced a new and original Design for Cook- Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the aecompan `vin g Wood out or engraving of a stove, Whicliembodies our said design.
One part of our invention consists of the compound ornament A, shaped and arranged on a door or panel of a stove, substantially as represented in the aforesaid engraving. Another part consists of the ornament or ornaments B, shaped and arranged on a door or doors, or panelor panels, or leg or legs, of a stove or range, substantially as shown in the aforesaid Wood-eut. Another part consists of the compound ornamented border molding or moldings C, shaped and arranged along the edge or edges of a door or doors, or panel or panels, of a stove, substantially as represented in the engraving. Another part con sists of the combination ofthe ornamented border molding or moldings C and panel ornament or ornaments A vor B, as represented in the aforesaid out.
Another part consists of the design for the combined bottom plate D, side plate E, hearth*- plate F, and top plate G, as distinguished by the particular moldings h along the edges of the plates D, F, and G, and the particular fori'n of the side plate E with the moldings z' and j thereon, all shaped and arranged together, as shown in the aforesaid engraving.
Vhat We claim as our invention is- 1. The ornament A,'sl1aped and arranged as herein described.
2. The ornament or ornaments B, shaped and arranged as herein s et forth.
3. The compound oruamented border molding or moldings C, shaped and arranged as herein set forth.
4. The combination of the border molding or moldings C and panel ornament or ornaments A or B, as herein described.
5. The design for the combined bottom, side, hearth, and top plates D, E, F, and G, as shown and described.
