To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WALTER S. STEVEN- SON, of the city of Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain De- .sign for a Cooking-Stove, of which the follow: ing is a specification:

The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying engraving, to which reference is made.

The edge-moldings a and b of the two top plates A and B, respectively, are slightlycurved bevels extending downward and out- Ward, as plain surfaces, from the plain ilat surfaces of the said plates A B, respectively. The edge-moldings c and d of the door C and the panel D, respectively, are plain, slightlycurved bevels, in relation to the faces, respectively, of the same. The faces are flat, with the exception of a block-molding, f, in basrelie', around between the said faces and their edge-moldings, respectively, and a bas-relief ornamental center piece in each. The center piece on (l is surrounded by a bas-relief oval ring having a rope molding, 2, Within it, as shown. The center piece on D is also surrounded by a bas-relief oval ring like that on C, but has not the rope molding shown in the latter. The front plate F of the oven has a :dat face inclosed by a block-molding border, ff, a bas-relief ornamental center piece, g', and oval ring and rope bead 2, as shown on the door C. The right and left ends of this plate F have each a rounded pilaster, 3 3, with a bas-relief ornament, 4, in its middle. The fire-doors E E have each a flat face, e', a basrelief center piece, g, a block-molding border, f, and bevel-edge molding e, substantially the same as shown on the panel D. The front plate H of the fire-chamber projects forward at its'npper part, which is grooved on its under side, as shown at h', and its right and left sides or ends are rounded and ornamented, as shown at 5 5. Each of the front legs I I is of the ornamented form on the faceA side or front, as shown in I. Each of the rear legs J J is of the ornamented form on the face side or front, as shown in J.

I claim, as my invention, the design for a stove, consisting ot' the following particulars, v1z:

l. In combination With the bevel-edge moldings c d e of the doors and panels O D E, respectively, the block-molding border ff f and iiat faces thereof, substantially as shown.

2. In combination with the front plate F, the block-molding border j", rounded right and left ends 3 3, and the ornamental basrelief igures 4 4 thereon, substantially as shown.

3. The bas-relief central ornamental figures g 2 g 2 on the door O and plate F, respectively as shown.

4;. The bas-relief central ornamental figures g g on the panel D and nre-doors E, respectively as shown.

5. The ornamented projection h of the plate H and the rounded ends 5 5 thereof, substantially as shown.

6. The ornamental face of the front legs I I', as shown. l
