Wings/0,54 Mfr/507*.-
Patentad Apr. 4, I899.
UNITED STATES PATENT: OFFICE.
FRANZ S. BRIGGS, OF NEOSHO, MISSOURI.
DESIGN FOR AN AX-RACK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,492, dated April 4, 1899.
Application filed March 3, 1899. Serial No- 707,694. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANZ S. BRIGGS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Neosho, in the county of Newton and State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for an Ax-Rack, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a front elevation, and Fig. 2 a plan view.
Similar letters of reference indicate like parts in both the figures where they appear.
As shown in the drawings, the ax-rack presents the general form of a semidome. The leading or material feature of the design consists of a series of upright equally-spaced radial partitions E and three (3) horizontal platforms, the lowermost, A, semicircular, forming the base of the semidome, and the next, B, smaller, approximately semicircular, but having a radially-waved or sinusoidal edge, being hollowed at the junction with each vertical partition and swelled between each partition and the next. The uppermost, O, is approximately semicircular, like the next lower,
but smaller. The back of the semidome is a plane piece D, of ornamental outline, the parts of which will be distinguished by supernumerals. The lower portion of the edge is of ogee outline, the swell D being followed by a hollow D The outline is continued upward in graceful curves. A portion D is level, and the extreme top D is semicircular. The lower portions E of the radial partitions E, lying between the platforms A and B, have straight perpendicular edges. The upper portions, lying between the platforms B and C, have inclined sinuous edges 151 E E.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for an ax-rack, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the design above set forth I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
FRANZ S. BRIGGS.
