DESIGN.

U. E. LEMON.
HINGE LEAF.
{Application filed July 12, 1900.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
URIAII E. LEMON, OF FAIRFIELD, \VASIIINGTON.
DESIGN FOR A HINGE-LEAF.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,077, dated August 14, 1900.
Application filed July 12, 1900. Serial No. 23,425. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whont it 12101,! concern.-
Be it known that I, URIAH E. LEMON, residing at Fairfield, in the county of Spokane and State of \Vashington, have invented and produced a certain new and useful Design for LlIinge-Leaf, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 is a front elevation of a leaf of a hinge, showing the new design; Fig. .2, a side elevation. Fig. 3 is a top plan, and Fig. i a perspective View, of the hinge-leaf.
The leaf is composed of suitable material of uniform thickness, as indicated in the drawings. The upper limb Ais arched on top, widens toward the base, and is perforated, as indicated at A, Figs. 1 and 4:. The shelf B projects outward at right angles from the base of the upper limb A and is perforated, as indicated at 13. The front of shelf 13 is narrower than the rear part of said shelf at the bend where said shelf joins the upper limb. A turned-down curtain 0 projects downward from the front edge of the shelf, the corners of said curtain being rounded. From the sides of shelf B inclines D D extend outwardly and downwardly at an angle less than a right angle, as shown, these in clines being triangular as viewed from the side and each having a wing E, turned out in the same vertical plane as the upper memher A, each wing being perforated, as indicated at E. Thus seen from the side the shelf appears horizontal, the upper member and the curtain appear vertical, while the incline toward the observer appears to be perpendicular, as will appear in Fig. 2. The corners of the wings E are rounded, but the other boundaries of said wings are nearly in the form of a square. Allthe other members of the design are more or less triangular in their outlines, as appears from the illustration.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design fora hinge'leaf, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
URIAII E. LEMON.
