DESIGN FOR A DISH.
SPECIFICATION forming pari: of Design No. 16,708, dated May 25, 1886.
Application iiled April 2, 1886. Serial No. 197,592. Term of patent 3 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, THOMAS DAvIs, a citizen of the United States, residing at Trenton, in the county of Mercer and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cover Vegetable-Dishes, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The drawing affords a perspective view of the dish with the lid or cover in place.
The leading features of my design consist in the vertically-liuted offset on the outer sides of the lid, and in the projecting feet joined by a plain extended base, above which is a iiuted recess, the whole producing the eifect of a dish set in a metal stand or base.
A is the lid, near the edges of which is the vertieally-iluted oiset B. The body of the dish C has` at its corners projecting feet D D, which are joined by the extended base E. Above the base E is the fluted recess G, merging at its upper side into the outwardly-cur ving bowl or body of the dish C.
1. The design for a covered vegetable dish, consisting of the lid or cover A, having upon its outer side, near the edges, the verticallyfluted offset B, and the body ofthe dish C, having projecting feet D D, joined by an extended base, E, having above it the iuted recess G, merging above into the outwardly-curving body of the dish C, as shown.
2. The design for a vegetable-dish, consisting of the body C, having projecting feet D D, joined by an extended base, E, having above it the fluted recess G, merging above into the outwardly-curving body of the dish C, as shown.
