DESIGN.
L. V. MOULTON. FRAME FOR MARINE VBLOGIPEDES.
No. 27,152. Patented June 1,1897.
INVENTORZ WITNESSES: fla J? Q/J UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
LUTHER V. MOULTON, OF GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN.
DESIGN FOR A FRAME FOR MARINE VELOCIPEDES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,152, dated J une 1, 1897.
Application filed May 3, 1897. Serial No. 634,953. Term of patent 14 years.
T0 or whom, it may concern;
ie it known that I, LUTHER V. Mo'ULToN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Grand Rapids, in the eountyof Kent and State of Michigan, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for a Frame for Marine Veloeipedes; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
This design relates to the frame of marine velooipedes and analogous structures, and the distinctive features thereof are the lower bar having an upturned forward end andthe upper curved bar having both ends upturn ed, as more fully illustrated in the accom panyiug drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective of a frame embodying said design, and Fig. 2 a side elevation of the same.
Like letters refer to like parts in both of the figures.
A represents the lowerbaror sill, being substantially horizontal at its rear portion and slightly curved downward and having its forward portion curved upward, being convex at its forward side, as at A, and terminating at its upper end in a reversed curve A". The bar B is in substantially the same vertical plane and above the rear portion of the bar A and has a downwardly-eurved middle portion, lowest near the front, and an upturned forward end B engaging the rear of the upper part of the bar E, and an upward and forwardly curved rear portion 13" above the rear end of the bar A. A hanger 0, having diverging eurved arms, connects the bars A and B near their middle.
It is obvious that the described design may be readily adapted to land vehicles as well.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim is- The design for a frame fora marine velocipede, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I aiIix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
LUTHER V. MO ULTON.
