To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, DE BERT HARTLEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, Cook county, State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Combined Dresser and Commode, of which the following is a specification, and which is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this application, in which-- Figure 1 is a. front elevation of my design, and Fig. 2 is a plan view with the top removed.
As shown in the drawings, my design resembles in its general outline a dresser, upon which is mounted a mirror a, supported by standards a on either side thereof. The frame or body part of my design has parallel sides or ends b, which are connected at the back by portions 0, at the front by a bar (I, and at the top by a cover 6. Extending from the front edge of the cover e is an upright piecef, the outer edge of which has a curved line or contour. The central portion of the design consists of an upright g, which occupies most of the space between the side b, the bottom d, and the top e. Extending Application filed February 16,1899- Serial No. 705,725. Term of patent 7 years.
' from the portion 9 are shelves h 1',-the latter being near the bottom of the device, and connecting the shelves h i is a vertical post j. Extending upwardly from the shelf 71 are small posts It, from the upper ends of which extend rods a. Extending at right angles from the portion 9, about halfway between the shelves L and z, are horizontal brackets 1'. Extending rearwardly from the portion g is a section m, having its outer face curved as shown.
In the angles formed by the junction of the sides I) and the back pieces 0 are triangularshaped horizontal shelves n. Extending forwardly and in an outward curve is a small rod 0 at a slight distance above the shelf t.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is The design fora combined dresser and commode, substantially as herein shown anddescribed.
In testimony whereof I aifix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
