' SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 32,371, dated March 20, 1900. Application filed February 21,1900. Serial No. 6,114. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Beitknown that I, JOHN W. CULMER, acitizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Scale-Frame, of which the following is a specification, reference be ing had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The leading or material features of myde sign consist of, first, a hollow rectangular base having sides which curve inward slightly from the bottom to the top; second, two standards which rise from the rear corners of said base and are shaped substantially as shown1hat is to say, they are in the form substantially of halfofa hollow octagon, of which the outermost side is longest-and viewed from the front each standard will be seen to have a short vertical lower end, a middle part just above the base which is curved inward and then outward to a point outside of the lower end, and a vertical top part which is in a vertical plane outside of the lower end; third, a hollow rectangular frame supported on the top of said two standards; fourth, two curved posts upon said rectangular frame, and, fifth, a horizontal bar secured to two short posts which rise from the base just inside of said standards.
In the drawing, A represents the hollow rectangular base, a a being its curved sides and a the horizontal top of said base, which is absent from the front part thereof.
B B represent the two standards, which standards viewed from in front are widest at their lower ends and gradually decrease in width to their upper ends. Viewed from the side these standards are narrowest at their lower ends and gradually increase in width to their upper ends. I) b represent the vertical lower ends of said standards, I) the curved middle parts thereof, and b the vertical top parts.
0 represents the rectangular frame, supported by said standards, and D D the curved posts upon said rectangular frame. These posts are set nearer one end than the other of said frame and their upper ends are curved over toward the middle of said frame.
E represents the horizontal bar, and e e the posts upon the base by which it is supported. The post 6 is tubular.
Having described my invention, I claim- The design for a scale frame as herein shown and described.
