DESIGN FOR A CHAIR-BODY.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,082, dated September 10, 1901.
Application filed July 22, 1901. Serial No. 69,381. Term of patent '7 years.

Be it known that I, GUsTAvE STICKLEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Chair-Bodies, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, in
' which Ishow the same in an isometrical view.
I As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design comprises a chair-body as a unitary article, in which A and B are the side frames, united bya front and rear cross-bar a and a, extending clear through the uprights, as shown atb b. The side frames A and B have angular uprights or legs 0, intersecting the flat arm-piece d, the rear outer corner of which is out 01f, as shown at d, and said uprights pass through I the said arm-piece,- as shown at e. f and f are cross-bars connecting the lower ends of the legs 0 and passing through them, as shown at g. m designates flat bars arranged verti cally at substantiallyequal distances apart be tween the upper edge of the bars fand f and the under face of the arm-piece d, the whole body of the chair-frame thus forminga unique and artistic piece of furniture.
