DESIGN FOR A PAPER BOX.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,041, dated December 14, 1897.
Application filed October 16, 1897. Serial No. 655,481. Term of patent 3-. years.

Be it known that I, FRANK E. JONES, aeitizen of the United States, residing at Kirl wood, in the county of \Varren and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Paper lox,of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a front view of a paper box, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a rear view of the box. Fig. 3 is an end view thereof.
The leading feature of my design consists in a paper box shaped and ornamented to represent a chair.
The letter A designates the upper side, B the front side, C the rear side, and D and E the two ends, of the box. The rear side 0 is extended upwardly to form the back F of the chair, and upon its front and rear sides said extended back F is ornamented with lines to represent the uprights a, cross-pieces Z), and intermediate rods 0 of a chair-hawk. The front side B is ornamented with lines to represent the seat (I, front legsf, and crossbraces e of achair. Each of the ends D and E is ornamented with lines to represent the seat (Z, one front legfand one rearleg g, and cross-braces h of a chair. The rear side 0, below the extension F, is ornamented with lines to represent the seat (l, rear legs 9, (shown as continuations of the uprights (1,) and cross-braces 7c of a chair.
I claim The design for a paper box substantially as herein shown and described.
