DESIGN FOR A PAPER BOX.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,042, dated December 14, 1897.

Application filed October 16, 1897. Serial No. 655,482. Term of patent 3% years.

Be it known that I, FRANK E. JONES, aeitizen of the United States, residing at Kirkwood, in the county of \Varren and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Paper Box, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.

In the drawings, Figure 1 is a view in perspective of a paper box, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is an end view thereof.

The leading feature of my design consist-s in a paper box shaped and ornamented to represent a sofa or lounge.

The letter A designates the upper side, B the front side, C the rear side, and D and E the two ends, of the box. The end D is extended upwardly beyond the upper side A and slightly bent outwardly to represent the head-rest of the sofa or lounge, and the rear side 0 is extended upwardly and curved at its upper edge to represent the back of the sofa or lounge. The said back, head-rest, and upper side A are ornamented with lines to represent upholstering, and the sides and ends of the box are ornamented Withlines to represent the frame and four legs of the sofa or lounge.

I claim- The design for a paper box substantially as herein shown and described.
