DESIGN FOR A COOK-STOVE.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that we, GEORGE W. COPE and WVILLIAM L. BERTRAM, citizens of the United States, residing at Detroit, in the county of \Vayne and State of Michigan, have invented a new and original Design for Cook Stoves or Ranges, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.

The single figure is a perspective View of a cook-stove, showing our design.

The leading features of the design are the configuration and ornaments.

The motive of the design is carried into each ornamental part of the stove and involves the use of rococo ornaments of the pattern shown.

The leading feature of the ornamentation is the irregular-shaped plain swell ornaments bounded by rococo scrollwork.

A represents the scrollwork on the base and leg frame of the stove, across which the scrolwork extends, of the form and pattern shown, the raised plain ornaments referred to being shown at B.

C is a central raised panel of irregular shape on the oven-door, surrounded by a border ornament of rococo scrollwork D, and in each of the upper corners are the irregular raised plain ornaments referred to as being one of the leading features of the ornament.

The reservoir end plate has a single large central ornament E, surrounded by rococo ornaments F, which gives this reservoir end plate a clearly distinctive appearance.

II represents the ornament upon the firedoors.

I represents the name-plate 011 the front door, which is surrounded by ornamentation J.

K is a curved ornamental fire-door project- 0 ing out from the line of the top rim L of the stove and curved downward in a graceful curve, being ornamented as shown.

The high shelf M is supported by an ornamental standard having a shield-shaped central ornament N, surrounded by rococo ornamentation of the character previously described and having on either side the side scrolls 0, extending from the ornamental base-plate P to the shelf M. Above the shelf M the standard is surrounded by a plate Q, ornamented as shown.

WVhat we claim as our invention is- 1. The design for a stove or range, substantially as herein shown and described.

2. In a stove or range the design for the leg and base frame, substantially as herein shown.

3. In a stove or range, a design for the reservoir end plate, substantially as herein shown.

4:. I11 a stove or range, the design for the oven-door, substantially as herein shown.

5. In a stove or range, the design for the fire-door, substantially as herein shown,

6. In a stove or range the design for the high-shelf standard, substantially as herein shown.
