The legs B at the corners, ogee in shape, are ornamented near the top with diverging ribs or corrugations springing from the A surface, gradually increasing in height, and terminating in shoulders, with the center corrugation longer and rounded. The portion of the base between the corners and the antheinion mentioned is ornamented in relief with the sprays and iiowers springing from a stem starting near the junction of the legs and base, and just over the legs are arranged volutes e and a series of rounded sprays. The body of the stove is provided at the front with the projecting shelf H, surrounded by a rounded flange or molding h', curved upward and then extending horizontally beneath the re-door D. The top of the body is provided with a rounded border or molding ct', and at the rear with the ange b Aover the reservoir and at a higher level.
The main oven-door C has substantially flat narrow edges c', and just inside them is slightly rounded outward, and is ornamented near the center with a circular medallion f in relief, having at the center a tile, which, however, may be varied; and it is further ornamented by a design consisting of a parent stem starting from the under side of the raised circle f2, surrounding the medallion, from which spring sprays and volutes inter- 5o twining, as shown, and at the outer portion of the stem is a conventionalized flower, to the center) of which the door-knob g is attached, and extending on opposite sides conventionalized leaves. The surface of this door is further provided with ornaments j and la, the former consisting of stems and sprays in relief springing from the 6o O', having the rounded molding C2. The fire- 65 door D has also a convex surface arisingfrom substantially dat edges D', and is ornamented by the figures Z and m, consisting of the sprays and stems springing from the hinges,
