DESIGN FOR THE PLATES OF A STOVE.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the saine.
To all whom 'it may concern.'
Be it known that we, .ROBERT Soorten. and Ronnn'r HAM, of Troy, in the county oi' Rensselaer, and State oi' New York, have invented or produeed a new and original Design for l-leating-Stove llates, of' which the following is a full and exact deseription, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the door-plate and door thereof, and
Figure 2 is a. perspective view of' the base-part, all of the same stove.
Our said design is composed of ornamental parts, arranged as follows, to wit:
The top edge of the said door-plate is formed ofthe two ogee-curves a and a', and the central curve b between them.
The sides and bottom edges of said plate are straight, and surrounded by a. bead, c.
The door of the said plate has a straight bottom and side edges, and a semicircuiar top edge.
On the door, next the edges thereof, is disposed the quarter-round moulding d, with the series of erossbeads e, and next thereto a flat band, with the chain of pyramidal bosses or projections f.
The panel of the door is divided into two seinicircular top windows by the ornament-al uiuliion y; and above said windows, on the door-panel, is disposed a seroll, It, all in configuration and disposition as shown in the annexed lig. 1 ofthe drawings.
The base-part plate of said stove is circular in forni, and has projected from its front side a hearth, i., upon which is the ash-pit cover-plate k.
The bottom edge of the hearth and base is formed of the quarter-round moulding l, and next thereto the quarter-round moulding m, with the succession of ornalnental figures o arranged thereon; then, next, the slanting part p, with the succession of points q disposed thereon; and upon the ash-pit front cover-plate are the ornamental figures lr, in configuration and arrangement all as shown in fig. 2 of the annexed drawmgs.
What we olaim as our invention and design, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
'lhe ornamental form and design for heating-stove plates, the same as described, and shown in the annexed drawings.
