DESIGN FOR A COOKING-STOVE.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JosErn LEON GonEiLLn,
a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, Guyahoga county, State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design fora Goal-Burning Cooking Stove, of which the following is a specification, refcrence being bad to the accompanying engraving ofa cooking stove having said design.
This design embraces several new and distinctive parts and combinations ofparts which go to make up the whole design, as hereinafter specified.
One integral part of this design is the shape and ornamentation of the oven-door A, which ornamentation consists of a rectangular central panel having a rough face, upon which are displayed at the top and bottom similar deco' rativc raised outline conformations, c and c, so disposed as to occupy mainly the inner angles of said panel. The vertical sides of said panel are bordered by a band of fern leaves and blooms, a and a, and the upper and lower sides by a row of five conventional roses, b and b, a series of fine raised parallel right lines extending from each terminus of said vertical handsa and a, of like width with them and in the same direction, to the edges of said oven-door, said series indicated on the accom- 0 panying engraving as o o 0" 0. Along the back ofsaid ovcndoor extends a vertical stripe of conventional roses and leaves, d, while in front of said panel, and in general following the outline of the front edge ofsaid oven-door, this design exhibits a bold raised spray of conventional leaves and flowers, f, and below said spray f a narrow spirally-curving roughened surface, e, delnarked by plain raised lines, all as shown.
A further distinctive part of this design is the shape and ornamentation of the hot closet door 13, which ornamentation consists of a square center panel displaying upon a. rough face an upright raised compound linear ornament, j, the face ofsaid last-named panel being traversed horizontally above and below said ornament by a pair of parallel lines, 2' and i, each broken in the center by a small circle inclosing a flower. The vertical sides of said panel are bordered by a band of fern leaves and blooms, g and g, and the upper audlower sides by a row of conventional roses, h and It, a series of fine raised parallel right lines extending from each terminus of said vertical bands 9 and g, of like width and in the same direction with them, to the edges of said hotcloset door, said series indicated on the accompanying engraving as o o 0 0 all as shown.
A further distinctive part of this design is the shape and ornamentation of the reservoir end 0, which ornamentation consists of alarge rectangular central space demarked by plain raised lines, whereon is displayed a conventional floral and leaf design, at, said space be ing bordered on its vertical sides by a band of fern leaves and blooms, k and k, and on its upper and lower sides by a row of three conventional roses, Z and Z, a series of fine raised parallel right lines, 0, 0, o, and 0, extending from each terminus of said vertical bands It and k, of like width and in the same direction with them, to the edges of said reservoir end, all as shown.
A further distinctive part of this design is the shape and ornamentation of the side firedoor, D, which ornamentation consists of a square central space demarkcd by plain raised lines, showing upon the roughened face thereof a cluster of blooms and leaves, 1), a. series of fine raised parallel right lines, o, 0 o, and 0", extending vertically from the edges of said fire-door to each corner of said space, and displayed along the upper and lower borders of said space, extending between the two upper and also between the two lower series of parallel lines, a pair of conventional roses, n and n, all as shown.
A further distinctive part of this design is the shape and ornamentation of the front feeddoor, E, which ornamentation consists of a sixpointed star, 7', in the left-hand corner, and a. horizontal row of trilobate figures, q, displayed across the face thereof, all as shown.
A further distinctive part of this design is the shape and ornamentation of the front ash and draft door, F, which ornamentation con sists of a raised upright compound linear ornament, t, displayed at the bottom of said last-named door on each space between the interstices for draft, and on each of the same spaces, but above the ornament t, a fivepointed leaf, s, together with a vertical row of triangles, it, having two vertical and one straight sidc, extending along the hinge of said last'named ash and draft door F, all as shown.
I claim as new- 1. In a design for a eookingstove, the design for an oven-door herein shown and described, the same consisting of the rows of fern leaves and blooms a and a, the rows of conventional roses 1) and I), the decorative outlines 0 and c, the vertical row of roses and leaves d, the spirally-curving surface 6, the large sprayf, and the series of parallel lines 0, 0, 0", and 0.
2. In a design for a cooking-stove, the design for a hot-closet door herein shown and described, consisting of the bands of fern leaves and blooms g and g, the rows of conventional roses h and h, the pairs of lines as broken, iandi, thelinear ornamentj, and the series of parallel lines 0 0 o, and 0 3. In a design for a cooking-stove, the de sign for a reservoir-panel herein shown and described, consisting of the bands of fern leaves and blooms in and k, the rows ef(,'onventionn1 roses l and l, the central floral and leaf design, m, and the series of parallel lines o", 0 0, and o.
4. In a design for a cooking stove, the design for a side fire-door herein shown and described, consisting of the conventional roses n and n, the central cluster, 12, and the series of parallel lines 0, 0'", o, and 0.
5. In a design for a cooking-stove, the de sign for a front fire-door herein shown and described, and consisting of the trilobate figure q and star r.
6. In a design for a cooking stove, the design for a front ash and draft door herein shown and described, consisting of the leaf .9, the linear ornament t, and the row of triangles 14.
7. In a design for a cookingstove, the whole design nnitarily, embracing the ornamentation of the oven-door, hot-closet door, reservoir end, side firedoor, front feed-door, and front ash and draft door, all substantially as herein shown and described.
