THOMAS M. DUDGEON, OF GRAFTON, PENNSYLVANIA, ASSIGNOR TO PITTS- BURGH STOVE AND RANGE COMPANY, OF PITTSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA, A CORPORATION OF PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A FIREPLACE-FRONT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 36,068, dated September 9, 1902.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, THOMAS M. DUDGEON, a citizen of theUnited States, residing at Grafton, in the county of Allegheny and State of 5 Pennsylvania, haveinvented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Fireplace-Fronts, of which the following is a full, clear, and we act description, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, forming part hereof, in
10 which the invention is illustrated in front view.
The leading features of the design consist of a frame the sides and top of which have plain inner and outer border lines or edges.
:5 At the bottoms of the sides are scroll-like vase figures containing plants. Suspended from the tops of the side pieces are tasseled cords bearing casket-like figures. The crosspiece is in the shape of a hood having a cen- 2o tral shell-like figure.

hood where it joins the flat portion of the crosspiece is ornamented by diversely-extending scrollwork. The center or summer front has a border-like line near its outer edge entwined with sprays of grape-vine and depicts a winter landscape scene, with the figures of Cupid and a woman in the foreground kneeling beside an open fire. Below the summer front and extending between the side pieces is an open-work frame.
I claim- The ornamental design for a fireplace-front as herein described and shown.
