SPECIFICATION forming .part of Design No. 36,063, dated September 9, 1902.
Application filed July 29,1902. Serial No. 117,582- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, THOMAS M. DUDGEON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Orafton, in the county ofAllegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Fireplace-Fronts, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part hereof, in which the invention is illustrated in front elevation.
The leading features of the design consist of a frame the sides and cross-piece of which have a plain inner edge and a molded outer edge. At the bottoms of the sides are panels having central oval ornamentations. Above the panels are brazier-like figures, and above these the sides are ornamented with scroll and tassel work. The cross-piece is in the shape of a hood having torches crossed at the center and oppositely-extending and irregularly-shaped scrolls. The center or summer front has a sunken flower-like figure at each tom of the frame are sprays of foliage. Across 30 the top of the summer front are garlands caught up at the center and ends by streamers. Extending beneath the summer front for the width thereof is a frame having oppositely-extending ornamented V-shaped por- 35 tions.
I claim The ornamental design for a fireplace-front as herein described and shown.
