DESIGN FOR A RUG.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16,639, dated April 20, 1886.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ADOLPH PETZOLD, a citizen of the United States, and a. resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented 5 and produced a new and original Design for Rugs, of which the following is a. specification, reference being had to the accompanying photographic illustration, to which reference is made.
10 In the illustration, A is an outer ground surrounding an inclosed figure or parallelogram, B, the latter having a panel, C, at each The figure B is surrounded or defined end. by achnin-border, D. Immediately upon the '15 outer edge of this border, and surrounding it,

The essential features of my design are the central right-angled figure B, having end 25 panels, 0 U, ornamented as described, central roseshaped flower, G, and large flower H, both surrounded by clusters of leaves I and flowers K.
What I claim as new is 0 A design or rugs, consisting of a central rectangular figure, B, having end plates, 0 O, ornamented as described, central rose-shaped flower G, large flower H, both surrounded by clusters of leaves I and flowers K, substen- 5 tiall y as described and shown.
