To all whom it may concern: i

Beit known that I, JULIUs PEGEL, a sub ject of the Emperor of Germany, and a. resident of Camden, New Jersey, have invented 5 and produced n new and original Design for Rugs, of which the following is especifica,- tion, reference being had to the accompanying photographic illustration, lo which reference is made.

In the illustration, A is a continuons reetangnlar border formed of clusters of leaves and flowers in acontinucnsline. Partol' thespnce at each end, within the border, is iuclosed by the double scrolls B B, forming panels, and i5 each of these panels is ornamented by leaves C and fancy owers l). The middle space is ornamenten by a large cluster of large and smell leaves E E and fancy flowers F F.

The leading features ol' my design will be 2o apparent from the claim.

In the photographic illustration I have omitted from one end of the design the part outside the vertical scroll at that end, as it would be a. mere duplication of what is shown ont side of the vertical scroll at the other end.

A design for rugs, consisting of the eoutinnous border A, formed of leaves und flowers, double scrolls B B, forming end panels, with flower and leal' ornamentation, and the central ornamentation, consisting ol' a large clus ter of leaves, E E, and fancy owers F F, sub stantially as shown and described.
