Definitions

  • the master key is provided with not more than one groove 11', and to make the necessary depth of the groove and of the recesses 11 in the other side face of the key sufficiently great that two continuous grooves of such depth would weaken the key to make it inoperative. This makes it more difficult for unauthorized persons to open the lock without the proper master key equipped with properly spaced depressions 11 or bores 11" on at least one side of the key.
