Description
本申請案是關於一種用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物及包括所述黏合劑組成物的可折疊顯示器。
本申請案主張2017年12月11日在韓國智慧財產局(Korean Intellectual Property Office)申請的韓國專利申請案第10-2017-0169351號的優先權及權益,所述申請案的全部內容以引用的方式併入本文中。
隨著顯示器相關技術的近期發展,已研究並開發可在使用階段變換(諸如折疊、捲成輥狀或如同橡膠帶一般拉伸)的顯示裝置。此類顯示器可變換成不同形狀,且因此,可滿足如下需求:在使用階段為大型顯示器且在攜帶時為小型顯示器。
可回應於用戶需求或根據使用顯示裝置以及將顯示裝置變換成預先設定的形狀的情況的需求來將可變換顯示裝置變換成不同形狀。因此,需要識別顯示器的所變換的形狀,且需要回應於所識別的形狀來控制顯示裝置。
同時,可變換顯示裝置具有如下問題:顯示裝置的每一構造可因變換而受損壞,且因此此類顯示裝置的每一構造需要滿足折疊可靠性及穩定性。
此外,用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑需要滿足折疊可靠性及現有黏合特性,且需要在-40℃至60℃的整體溫度變化條件下滿足驅動條件。
此外,為了滿足折疊可靠性條件,需要滿足黏合劑的流變性行為條件,且在黏合劑的流變特性中,儲存模數值需要大於或等於104帕且小於或等於106帕,在室溫及高溫下折疊100,000次之後不應存在分層。
然而,用於可折疊顯示器的現有黏合劑組成物具有如下問題:即使在滿足此折疊可靠性條件時,在-20℃下進行動態折疊測試(此為允許進行實際折疊測試的條件之中最為嚴苛的條件)時亦出現分層及面板斷裂。

合劑組成物,所述黏合劑組成物包括:聚合物,包括(甲基)丙烯酸烷酯(alkyl(meth)acrylate)及具有可交聯官能基的單體;以及交聯劑,其中黏合劑組成物與聚醯亞胺膜在固化之後的黏合強度在室溫下大於或等於500公克力/吋(gf/in)且小於或等於5,000公克力/吋,在-20℃及1%應變(strain)的條件下量測的黏合劑組成物在固化之後的儲存模數(storage modulus)大於或等於50,000帕且小於或等於250,000帕,在-20℃及12%應變的條件下開始應變時的初始應力大於或等於5,000帕且小於或等於20,000帕,在-20℃及12%應變的條件下進行應變10分鐘之後量測的最終應力大於或等於1,000帕且小於或等於10,000帕,由(最終應變)/(第一施加應變)×100定義的應變回復(strain recovery)大於或等於70%且小於或等於90%,第一施加應變為12%應變,且所述最終應變是以移除所述第一施加應變的時間計20分鐘之後回復的應變。
本說明書的另一實施例提供一種黏合劑層,所述黏合劑層包括上文所描述的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物或其固化材料。
本說明書的又一實施例提供一種可折疊顯示器,所述可折疊顯示器包括:背板基底;根據本申請案的黏合劑層,提供於背板基底的一個表面上;以及觸摸面板,提供於黏合劑層的與背板基

根據本說明書的一個實施例的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物具有如下優點:在進行折疊測試時滿足可靠性條件,即使在-20℃下亦不引發諸如分層及斷裂的問題,同時在室溫及高溫下維持用於可折疊顯示器的現有黏合劑組成物的特性,諸如可靠性條件及黏合特性。
使用根據本申請案的一個實施例的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物製備的黏合劑層可在可折疊顯示器中使用,且由於即使在極低溫度(-20℃)下折疊及回復期間亦未出現黏合劑分層及斷裂,因此根據本申請案的包括黏合劑層的可折疊顯示器具有極佳耐久性的特性。
圖1繪示根據本說明書的一個實施例的在應力鬆弛測試(stress relaxation TEST)中的應變(strain)與應力(stress)的變化率及回復率。

本說明書的一個實施例提供一種用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物,所述黏合劑組成物包括:聚合物,包括(甲基)丙烯酸烷酯及具有可交聯官能基的單體;以及交聯劑,其中黏合劑組成物與聚醯亞胺膜在固化之後的黏合強度在室溫下大於或等於500公克力/吋且小於或等於5,000公克力/吋,在-20℃及1%應變的條件下量測的黏合劑組成物在固化之後的儲存模數大於或等於50,000帕且小於或等於250,000帕,在-20℃及12%應變的條件下開始應變時的初始應力大於或等於5,000帕且小於或等於20,000帕,在-20℃及12%應變的條件下進行應變10分鐘之後量測的最終應力大於或等於1,000帕且小於或等於10,000帕,由(最終應變)/(第一施加應變)×100定義的應變回復大於或等於70%且小於或等於90%,第一施加應變為12%應變,且最終應變是以移除所述第一施加應變的時間計20分鐘之後回復的應變。
本說明書的另一實施例提供一種黏合劑層,所述黏合劑層包括上文所描述的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物或其固化材料。
此黏合劑組成物可例如固化以形成黏合劑層,且可將黏合劑層包含於可折疊顯示器中以用於諸如附接顯示面板與蓋玻璃的應用中。
在本說明書中,術語「可折疊顯示器」可意謂可撓式顯示器,設計成如同紙張一般重複折疊及去折疊且具有折疊式部件以具有5毫米或小於5毫米的曲率半徑。
可折疊顯示器中所使用的黏合劑需要滿足不同於現有黏合劑的彎曲可靠性,且為了具有此極佳彎曲可靠性,需要在較大溫度範圍內滿足可靠性。
根據本說明書的一個實施例的黏合劑組成物在低溫(例如-20℃)下以及在室溫及高溫範圍內進行折疊測試時不會引發諸如分層及斷裂的問題,且因此,具有待在可折疊顯示器中使用的適當特性。
根據本說明書的一個實施例,黏合劑組成物與聚醯亞胺膜在固化之後的黏合強度在室溫下可大於或等於500公克力/吋且小於或等於5,000公克力/吋,更佳地大於或等於800公克力/吋且小於或等於2,000公克力/吋,且甚至更佳地大於或等於950公克力/吋且小於或等於1,800公克力/吋。
藉由使黏合劑組成物與聚醯亞胺膜在固化之後的黏合強度在室溫下滿足上述範圍,隨後在折疊包括黏合劑層(所述黏合劑層包括所述黏合劑組成物)的可折疊顯示器時不會在黏合劑層與可折疊顯示裝置的界面處出現分層。
根據本說明書的一個實施例,黏合劑組成物的固化可包括在120℃的溫度條件下乾燥及固化3分鐘之後在40℃下老化3天。
根據本說明書的一個實施例,室溫可意謂25℃。
根據本說明書的一個實施例,聚醯亞胺膜可使用市售產
品,且特定而言可以是GF200(SKC-科隆PI(SKC-Kolon PI)),但聚醯亞胺膜不限於此。
根據本說明書的一個實施例,黏合強度是量測180°剝離黏合強度(180°peel adhesive strength)的值,且可藉由將黏合劑層壓於黏附體上且在無人照管的環境下將所得物靜置一日來量測黏合強度。使用質構分析儀(穩定微型系統(Stable Micro Systems))作為量測裝置,且可在剝離速率為0.3米/分鐘(mpm)且標本寬度為1吋的情況下量測黏合劑的黏合強度。
在本說明書中,術語「儲存模數」意謂通常已知的「動態儲存模數」。換言之,在將正弦型剪切應變施加至彈性體時,應力在黏彈材料中以中間形式出現延遲,且在數學上表達時,此意謂一個組分處於相同相位,而另一組分延遲了pi/2,且在本文中,可將處於相同相位的部分(亦即,在因彈性而沒有損失的情況下儲存的能量)稱為「動態儲存模數」或「儲存模數」。
根據本說明書的一個實施例,在1%應變的條件下,可例如根據手動使用高級流變擴展系統(TA儀器公司(TA Instruments Inc.))來量測儲存模數值。
在本說明書的一個實施例中,在-20℃及1%應變的條件下量測的黏合劑組成物在固化之後的儲存模數可大於或等於50,000帕且小於或等於250,000帕,較佳地大於或等於70,000帕且小於或等於250,000帕,且更佳地大於或等於150,000帕且小於或等於250,000帕。
藉由滿足上述範圍,包括黏合劑組成物的黏合劑層的硬度是適當的,且因此,黏合劑層的特性極佳,可釋放可折疊時所產
生的應力,且因此,使對與黏合劑層結合的層的損壞降至最低。此外,藉由使儲存模數具有上述範圍,在重複折疊及去折疊時藉由具有極佳彈性而得到不留下膜折疊痕跡的特性。
換言之,當在-20℃及1%應變的條件下量測的黏合劑組成物在固化之後的儲存模數大於上述範圍時,黏合劑變得過硬從而損害黏合劑的特性,此可藉由未能釋放折疊時所產生的應力而損害黏附層。當儲存模數小於上述範圍時,在折疊之後由於彈性不足而出現可見膜折疊痕跡的問題。
在本說明書中,術語應變回復由(最後返回應變%)/(第一施加應變12%)×100定義,且應變回復可藉由設計黏合劑的分子量、交聯程度以及組成物來進行調整。
在本說明書中,將DMA(TA儀器公司)用作量測應力及應變的裝置,且在-20℃、600秒12%應變以及1200秒回復的條件下使用具有如下大小的樣品來進行量測:寬度約為6毫米、厚度約為1毫米以及長度約為10毫米至15毫米。
當在長邊的方向上經由12%的應變拉伸樣品且維持特定時段時,應力藉由拉伸應變緩慢減小而增大。
換言之,在拉伸12%時發現的最大應力意謂初始應力,且應力在特定時段(600秒)之後開始減小且維持在沒有較大變化的狀態下。如上所維持的應力意謂最終應力。
圖1示出應變與應力隨著時間的變化。如圖1中所見,在12%應變的情況下拉伸樣品標本時的初始最大應力為初始應力,且在特定時段之後的應力意謂最終應力。
在稍後移除所施加的應力時,拉伸的樣品縮短且開始還
原(reduce)至其原始狀態,且在無人照管的情況下將樣品靜置足夠時段(1,200秒)以避開進一步還原之後量測最終應變。
在本申請案的一個實施例中的由(最終應變)/(第一施加應變)×100定義的應變回復中,第一施加應變為12%應變,且最終應變意謂以移除第一施加應變的時間計20分鐘之後回復的應變。
以移除第一施加應變的時間計20分鐘之後回復的應變意謂在將移除第一施加應變12%的時間調整至零點之後的20分鐘後回復的應變。
舉例而言,當利用12%應變改變黏合劑組成物的固化材料且在自移除外力的時間起回復20分鐘之後量測的應變為10%時,第一施加應變為12%且最終應變為10%,且在此,應變回復可意謂約83.33%。
在本說明書的一個實施例中,第一施加應變可為12%,且可滿足±5%的範圍。
在本說明書的一個實施例中,最終應變可大於或等於5%且小於或等於11%,較佳地大於或等於7%且小於或等於11%,且更佳地大於或等於8%且小於或等於10%。
此外,進行量測,從而評估在以2.5轉(R)折疊時所產生的應變約為12%,且將折疊後立即存在於黏合劑中的應力及當在折疊時儲存的剩餘的應力模擬為初始應力及最終應力。將在去折疊時黏合劑在整個折疊結構中對回復的影響程度模擬為回復率。
根據本說明書的一個實施例,初始應力可大於或等於5,000帕且小於或等於20,000帕,且更佳地大於或等於10,000帕
且小於或等於18,000帕。
根據本說明書的一個實施例,在-20℃及12%應變的條件下進行應變10分鐘之後量測的最終應力可大於或等於1,000帕且小於或等於10,000帕,且更佳地大於或等於5,000帕且小於或等於8,000帕。
在本說明書的一個實施例中,應變回復可為70%至90%,較佳地為75%至90%,且更佳地為80%至90%。
根據本說明書的一個實施例,當應變回復滿足70%至90%的範圍時,釋放折疊時所產生的應力且使其減至最小,且得到維持黏合強度的內聚強度(cohesive strength),且因此,在低溫、室溫以及高溫的全部情況下得到極佳折疊特性。
另一方面,在應變回復為90%或大於90%時,在折疊時返回的力較大,在反覆折疊時此可導致顯示面板上的裂痕或覆蓋窗側的硬塗層,或導致因應力較大而造成的界面分層。
此外,在應變回復小於70%時,內聚強度過低,且因此,黏合強度變得極低,或在折疊時可由於黏合劑內聚性(adhesive cohesion)失效而在界面處出現氣泡或分層。
在本申請案的一個實施例中提供的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物中,按聚合物的100重量份計,(甲基)丙烯酸烷酯的含量為50重量份至99重量份,且具有可交聯官能基的單體的含量為1重量份至50重量份。
在本說明書的一個實施例中,按聚合物的100重量份計,(甲基)丙烯酸烷酯的含量可為50重量份至99重量份,較佳地為60重量份至99重量份,且更佳地為80重量份至99重量份。
在本說明書的一個實施例中,按聚合物的100重量份計,具有可交聯官能基的單體的含量可為1重量份至50重量份,較佳地為1重量份至25重量份,且更佳地為1重量份至5重量份。
在本申請案的一個實施例中提供的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物中,按聚合物的100重量份計,交聯劑的含量在0.001重量份至5重量份的範圍內。
在另一實施例中,按聚合物的100重量份計,交聯劑的含量可為0.001重量份至5重量份,較佳地為0.01重量份至1重量份,且更佳地為0.01重量份至0.4重量份。
藉由使交聯劑含量滿足上述範圍,可在-20℃的溫度下得到目標儲存模數。
在根據本申請案的一個實施例的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物中,可藉由以如上特定含量包括特定材料來滿足儲存模數及應力降的範圍,且因此,由於即使在極低溫度(-20℃)下折疊及回復時亦未出現黏合劑分層及斷裂,因此包括黏合劑層的可折疊顯示器具有極佳耐久性的特性。
在本說明書中,除非另有定義,否則術語「重量份」意謂每種組分之間的重量比。

在本說明書中,按照以下方式來評估黏合劑組成物的特性。
儲存模數的量測
在離形膜之間塗佈實例及比較例中製備的黏合劑組成物中的每一者之後,將所得物切割成15公分×25公分的大小,且在移除一個表面上的離形膜之後,將所得物層壓若干次以具有約1毫米的厚度。
隨後,將層壓體切割成具有8毫米的直徑的環形形狀,使用玻璃進行壓縮,且在無人照管的情況下靜置一整夜以增強每一層之間的界面的潤濕,且移除在層壓期間產生的氣泡以製備樣品。隨後,將樣品置放於平行板上,且在調整間距之後,將法線&扭矩(normal & torque)設定成零,檢測法線力穩定,且量測儲存模數。

比較例13
以與比較例10中相同的方式形成黏合劑層,不同之處在
於使用0.3重量份的N,N,N',N'-四氧化丙烯間二甲苯二胺(BXX-5240,由三永油墨與塗料製造株式會社製造)(一種交聯劑)而不是0.1重量份的N,N,N',N'-四氧化丙烯間二甲苯二胺(BXX-5240,由三永油墨與塗料製造株式會社製造)(一種交聯劑)。
比較例14
以與實例1中相同的方式形成黏合劑層,不同之處在於藉由引入94重量份的丙烯酸丁酯(BA)及6重量份的丙烯酸(AA)而不是98重量份的丙烯酸乙基己酯(EHA)及2重量份的丙烯酸(AA)來製備丙烯酸聚合物。
在固化根據實例及比較例的組成物中的每一者之後,使用動態機械分析器(DMA)(TA儀器公司)在-20℃、600秒12%應變以及1200秒回復的條件下自具有如下大小的黏合劑層樣品量測黏合劑層的初始應力、在進行應變10分鐘之後的最終應力以及應變回復:寬度約為6毫米、厚度約為1毫米以及長度約為10毫米至15毫米,且使用配備有強制對流烘箱的ARES-G2(TA儀器裝置)來量測-20℃下的儲存模數。
換言之,當在長邊的方向上經由12%的應變拉伸黏合劑層樣品且維持特定時段(600秒)時,應力在特定時段(600秒)之後開始減小且維持在沒有較大變化的狀態下,且將最終應力量測為如上所維持的應力值。
此外,對於以移除第一施加應變(12%)的時間計20分鐘(1200秒)之後回復的應變,量測在將移除第一施加應變12%的時間調整為零點之後的20分鐘後回復的應變(最終應變),且相應地計算應變回復。
此外,在-20℃下進行動態折疊測試期間的初始應力、最終應力、儲存模數、應變回復、黏合強度以及面板斷裂或分層的次數描述於下表1中。
根據表1的比較例1、比較例3、比較例5、比較例8至比較例14,看出當應變回復過高時,折疊時所產生的應力未經適當地釋放,且面板的每一層中積聚的應力更快地引發問題。相反,確認當應變回復過低時,內聚強度不足,且難以作為黏合劑進行使用。
如在表1的比較例2至比較例14中所見,看出當初始應力較高時,針對每一次重複折疊及去折疊(unfolding),應力經傳
遞至每一層,從而由於積聚的疲勞而在面板上引發問題。
如同表1的比較例1,確認當在折疊之後釋放且剩餘的最終應力較高時,即使初始應力較小,面板上積聚的應力在靜態折疊測試以及動態折疊測試中亦引發問題。
根據表1的比較例4、比較例5以及比較例10至比較例14,看出當儲存模數過高時,在-20℃下折疊時所產生的應力增大,此不利於折疊。
Claims (12)
- 一種用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物,包括:聚合物,包括(甲基)丙烯酸烷酯及具有可交聯官能基的單體;以及交聯劑,其中按所述聚合物的100重量份計,所述交聯劑的含量在0.01重量份至0.4重量份的範圍內,其中所述黏合劑組成物與聚醯亞胺膜在固化之後的黏合強度在室溫下大於或等於500公克力/吋且小於或等於5,000公克力/吋;在-20℃及1%應變的條件下量測的所述黏合劑組成物在固化之後的儲存模數大於或等於50,000帕且小於或等於250,000帕;在-20℃及12%應變的條件下開始應變時的初始應力大於或等於5,000帕且小於或等於20,000帕;在-20℃及12%應變的條件下進行應變10分鐘之後量測的最終應力大於或等於1,000帕且小於或等於10,000帕;由(最終應變)/(第一施加應變)×100定義的應變回復大於或等於70%且小於或等於90%;所述第一施加應變為12%應變;且所述最終應變是以移除所述第一施加應變的時間計20分鐘之後回復的應變。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物,其中所述黏合劑組成物具有高於或等於-50℃且低於或等於-20℃的玻璃轉化溫度(Tg)。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物,其中所述(甲基)丙烯酸烷酯是由下述者所組成的族群中選出的任何一或多者:(甲基)丙烯酸甲酯、(甲基)丙烯酸乙酯、(甲基)丙烯酸正丙酯、(甲基)丙烯酸異丙酯、(甲基)丙烯酸正丁酯、(甲基)丙烯酸第三丁酯、(甲基)丙烯酸異丁酯、(甲基)丙烯酸2-乙基己酯、(甲基)丙烯酸2-乙基丁酯、(甲基)丙烯酸戊酯、(甲基)丙烯酸己酯、(甲基)丙烯酸環己酯、(甲基)丙烯酸正辛酯、(甲基)丙烯酸異辛酯、(甲基)丙烯酸異壬酯、(甲基)丙烯酸癸酯、(甲基)丙烯酸十二烷酯、(甲基)丙烯酸十三烷酯、(甲基)丙烯酸十四烷酯、(甲基)丙烯酸十八烷酯以及(甲基)丙烯酸異冰片酯。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物,其中所述可交聯官能基包括由下述者所組成的族群中選出的任何一或多者:羥基、異氰酸酯基、氧化丙烯基、環氧基、胺基以及羧基。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物,其中按所述聚合物的100重量份計,所述(甲基)丙烯酸烷酯的含量為50重量份至99重量份且所述具有可交聯官能基的單體的含量為1重量份至50重量份。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物,其中所述交聯劑具有由下述者所組成的族群中選出的任何一或多個官能基:烷氧基矽烷基、羧基、酸酐基、乙烯醚基、胺基、羰基、異氰酸酯基、環氧基、氮雜環丙烷基、碳化二亞胺基以及噁唑啉基。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的用於可折疊顯示器的黏 合劑組成物,更包括由下述者所組成的族群中選出的一或多者:抗靜電劑、黏合供應樹脂、固化劑、紫外線穩定劑、抗氧化劑、著色劑、增強劑、填充劑、消泡劑、界面活性劑以及塑化劑。
- 一種黏合劑層,包括如申請專利範圍第1項至第7項中任一項所述的用於可折疊顯示器的黏合劑組成物或其固化材料。
- 如申請專利範圍第8項所述的黏合劑層,更包括:離形膜,在所述黏合劑層的一個表面或兩個表面上。
- 一種可折疊顯示器,包括:背板基底;如申請專利範圍第8項所述的黏合劑層,提供於所述背板基底的一個表面上;以及顯示面板,提供於所述黏合劑層的與所述背板基底接觸的表面相對的表面上。
- 如申請專利範圍第10項所述的可折疊顯示器,更包括:支撐件,在所述背板基底的與所述黏合劑層接觸的所述表面相對的表面上。
- 如申請專利範圍第10項所述的可折疊顯示器,其中所述背板基底包括由下述者所組成的族群中選出的任何一或多者:聚對苯二甲酸乙二酯(PET)、聚酯、聚碳酸酯(PC)、聚醯亞胺(PI)、聚萘二甲酸乙二酯(PEN)、聚醚醚酮(PEEK)、聚芳酯(PAR)、多環烯烴(PCO)、聚降冰片烯、聚醚碸(PES)以及環烯烴聚合物(COP)。
