ΙΪ59998 η …九、發明說明: > [優先權之主張] 本申請案主張於2006年4月14日向韓國智慧財產局 所提出申請之韓國專利申請案第2006-34131號之優先 權,該韓國專利申請案揭示之内容併入本案作為參考。 ' 【發明所屬之技術領域】 - 本發明係關於一種用於使用發光二極體之液晶顯示器 (LCD)的背光,且尤其地,是關於一種使用發光二極體的 •液晶顯示器背光單元,其沒有發生在液晶顯示器面板之區 域内的黑暗的問題,該液晶顯示器面板的區域是對應於裝 設在該背光單元内的連接器,以與複數個獨立驅動的發光 二極體模組電性連接,以便達成局部暗淡(local dimming) 的目的。 【先前技術】 冷陰極螢光燈(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp; CCFL) 鲁用在液晶顯示器(LCD)背光作為光源已有一段時間了。因 為使用了水銀氣體,CCFL很可能會造成環境污染。同時, CCFL有著低的反應率和色彩再現性,並不足以降低1^0〇 * 面板的重量以及尺寸。 • 相對地,發光二極體(light emitting diode ; LED)不會
