1327089 九、發明說明 交互參考之相關申請案 本申請案主張來自2007年4月2日提出之臨時專利 申請案序號第6 0/9 09,548號的優先權。 【發明所屬之技術領域】 本發明大致上有關滾軋機,在此熱軋產品、典型爲桿 及棒係藉由一敷設頭形成爲環圈,且該等環圈係以一重聲 之斯賓塞(Spencerian)圖案沈積在一輸送帶上,在此它們 遭受控制下之冷卻,同時被運送至一重組站。本發明係特 別有關一用於控制該敷設頭之轉速的改良方法,以便最佳 化沈積在該輸送帶上之環圈的圖案。 【先前技術】 爲了冷卻被該輸送帶以大體上一致之方式所運送之環 圈,該環圈圖案最佳地應大體上爲一致的。爲了達成大體 上一致之環圈圖案,該敷設頭速率應與該產品之速率匹 配。既然該產品速率將由於改變之滾軋條件而隨時變化, 該敷設頭速率必需對應地調整,未能以一即時方式作此調 整導致該輸送帶上之環圈圖案的破裂。 已往,敷設頭速率已藉由操作人員基於其在該輸送帶 上之環圏圖案的觀察被手動地控制。如此,產品速率及敷 設頭速率間之差異未被偵測及處理,直至它們開始扭曲該 環圈圖案,並依次不利地影響冷卻之一致性。此問題係惡 m -4- 1327089 化,在此操作人員係對於該滾軋機之改變狀態無經驗&/ 或不注意。 本發明之目的係提供一維持產品速率及敷設頭速率間 之最佳關係的改良方法。 【發明內容】 如圖3所槪要地描述,滾軋機敷設頭之敷設管子10 典型被組構成具有一平直之進入區段l〇a,其與該敷設管 子之旋轉A的轉軸A對齊;一彎曲之中介區段l〇b’其具 有一逐漸增加之半徑,如由軸A所測量;及一彎曲之運 送區段l〇c,其具有一等於該中介區段106在其與該運送 區段接合處之位置的最大半徑R之恆定半徑。 如圖4所示,該半徑R係由該管子之中心所測量’使 該管子壁面在此位置具有最大及最小內徑Rmax、Rmin ° 按照本發明,該敷設管子之最大及最小內徑被決定爲 由該管子之轉軸所測量。連續地測量進入該敷設管子的產 品之速率,且控制該敷設管子之轉速,使得該管子在其最 大及最小內徑之速度界定一包含該產品之速度的範圍。 現在將參考所附圖面進一步詳細地敘述本發明,其 中: 【實施方式】 最初參考圖1,敷設頭8包括一含有敷設管子10之 中空通心管12。一藉由馬達18供電之傘齒輪組16具有 IS] -5- 1327089 可旋轉地繞著其軸“A”驅動該敷設頭之作用。 一縱向運動產品、例如一熱軋桿或棒沿著軸A進入 該轉動之敷設管子,且係形成一系列螺旋狀之環圈20, 該等環圈以重疊之斯賓塞圖案被承接在一輸送帶22上。 於一習知之方式,該等環圈係當它們係在該輸送帶上運送 至一遠端之重組站(未示出)時遭受控制下之冷卻。 按照本發明,該最大及最小內徑Rmax、Rmin被決定爲 由該轉軸A所測量。這些測量隨著分別代表馬達1 8之速 率及進入該敷設管子10之產品的線性速度Vp之信號 26、2 8被提供至一控制器24。產品速度被連續地測量, 較佳地是藉由一雷射計3 0,其範例係藉由美國麻薩諸塞 州該“雷射速率”伍斯特市之摩根營造公司所供給。 如果該線性產品速度Vp係最佳地定位於藉由該敷設 管子在其最大及最小內徑Rmax、Rmin之旋轉速度Vmax、 Vmin所歸入的範圍內,其已決定該輸送帶22上之最佳及 大體上一致的環圈圖案能被維持。 據此,該控制器24連續地計算ν„^χ、Vmin,且在一 監視器34之螢幕32上隨著該產品之速度Vp視覺地顯示 該等結果。此資訊係顯示在該螢幕32上,如圖2A所 示。在此,產品速度Vp係最佳地定位於藉由該敷設管子 之最大及最小內部速度Vmax、Vmin所界定的範圍RA內。 萬一滾軋條件導致產品速度中之變化,譬如造成於如 圖2B所示增加,藉由觀察監視器34,操作人員將馬上警 覺到需要藉由調整該敷設頭之速率重新設置該範圍RA, IS] -6- 1327089 於此揭示範例中,藉由一速率增加’如此由該先前設定 (藉由虛線所描述)將Vmax及Vmin升高至一新升高的設 定,該新升高的設定持續在該歸入的範圍內最佳地定位產 品速率。 代替手動地施行這些速率調整,該控制器24能以一 習知之方式被程式設計,以便自動地做此調整。 由於前文,那些熟諳此技藝者現在將了解當最初滾軋 一產品時,Rmax及Rmin可被決定’且Vmax、Vmin可被計 算及匹配於一期待之產品速率VP。當滾軋進展時,該範 圍RA可被迅速地調整,爲手動地或自動地其中之一,以 達成Vp之最佳歸入範圍,以便在該輸送帶上獲得及維持 一最佳之環圏圖案。 【圖式簡單說明】 圖1係一對於施行本發明有用之系統的槪要說明圖; 圖2A及2B係該產品之速度當其有關該敷設管子在 該最大及最小內徑之速度時的圖畫描述; 圖3係一敷設管子之槪要描述;及 圖4係在該敷設管子之最大及最小內徑的位置採取經 過該敷設管子之橫截面圖。 【主要元件符號說明】 8 :敷設頭 1 〇 :敷設管子 ί S3 -7- 1327089 :進入區段 :中介區段 :運送區段 通心管 傘齒輪組 馬達 環圏 輸送帶 控制器 信號 信號 雷射計 螢幕 3 4 :監視器
