Bu yöntem; yapı parçasının (10) en az bir yüzüne, iç veya dış kenarlarının arasında görünen çukur kısmının enine kesitinin tamamını ya da bir kısmını kapatacak biçimde sert metalik materyalden üretilmiş olan bir kaplama levhası (11-12) getirilmesiyle; yapı parçasının enine kesitinin etrafını çevreleyen ilgili kenarların (10.1) dar yüzeyleri (10.7) üzerine ilgili kaplama levha ya da levhalarının (11-12) mekanik olarak sabitlenmesiyle; ilgili parçanın enine kesitinin açık yüzeylerinin iç kısmında oluşturulmuş olan çukur bölgelerin (10.2) (10.3) tamamının ya da bir kısmının kaplama levha ya da levhalarınca kaplanmasıyla; ve kaplama levha ya da levhalarının, yapı parçasının sertliğini artırmak, kendi düzlemlerinde ilgili parçayla destek halinde kalacak şekilde bükülerek şokların emilimini sağlamak ve yapı parçasının kütlesinin azaltılmasına izin vererek kütle/performans oranının optimizasyonunu sağlamak gibi üç farklı göreve sahip olmasıyla ilgi çekicidir.
